Extremely Disappointed After 15 Years as a Customer…read more I have been recommending this shop to friends for the last 15 years, but it is clearly not the same shop anymore. After my recent experience, I will never be going back. I brought my car in for a state inspection and asked them to replace a Daytime Running Light (DRL) since the indicator was on. I had already bought the replacement bulb myself but didn't have time to install it, so I asked them to use my part and fix it. They charged $60 for the DRL labor. Since I couldn't make it before closing, I paid over the phone and picked up my car after work. When I got to my car, I immediately noticed the front fender liner was hanging down. Upon inspecting the bottom of the liner, I saw that out of four total fasteners, two push pins were completely missing, and out of the two screws, only one was put back--and it was cross-threaded in at a crooked angle. I called them the next day assuming it was an honest oversight. Instead of offering to make it right, they told me over the phone that they couldn't get the screws to fit, so they just tightened the one screw and left it. When I pointed out that the single screw was cross-threaded and the push pins were missing, the response was completely unprofessional. They argued with me and rudely asked, "Are you ok if we charge $120 to fix those 2 screws?" When I tried to explain my perspective, they cut me off, demanded a "yes or no" answer, and told me to leave their shop. This isn't the first issue, either--my previous oil change here caused the engine oil light to come on immediately afterward. Between the lack of basic quality control and the shocking disrespect toward a long-time loyal customer, I am completely done with this shop. Save your money and take your vehicle somewhere that respects both your car and your business.

From the moment I called, the experience exceeded my expectations. Jay was incredibly kind, professional, and helpful. As someone new to the Richmond area, it was reassuring to have such a positive first interaction with a local business. Everyone I encountered was friendly, welcoming, and truly focused on providing exceptional customer service. Based on my experience, I can confidently say "Yes--I highly recommend this business and will absolutely return in the future". Thank you for such a great experience. C. Rosser

I am disappointed at how I was received by Kit. It was jarring and strikingly unprofessional…read more Redirections such as "I think we got off on the wrong foot" and "I am not making any statements on your character, I am making an 'i' statement" were repeatedly unsuccessful. Again this is someone whose shirt i complimented, with whom both of us had been cordial, but could not be talked into a calm state. All of this because i leveled with him and expressed nebulously aimed frustration over a job that didn't last for the drive home, as the explanation for why i was asking for a redo. I asked him, "i mean objectively, you can understand why I would expect it to last till i reached home two miles away?". His rumination on the phrase "i felt ripped off" in response to the crashwrap beginning to peel off 0.5 miles from the facility was self-driven. That being said, why even recommend this as a temporary fix if I can't drive home with it? I would've liked it done right the first time and that's fair to express. We don't have to agree or see eye to eye and it's his right to feel I'm overly difficult. It was suggested that I should've cleaned my car first, not that they should've wiped it down the first time before applying wrap. (The car wasn't in the shop to have any crashwrap applied, so why would I have wiped it?) Ultimately I paid $104 to get an issue diagnosed and temporary tape put on the sunroof. I'm frustrated that I'm out $100 and the issue is not any closer to being fixed. The technician himself was amiable and communicative and the owner is also a pleasant man to work with. That being said this experience has burnt this spot for me. Having a disagreeable person work for you isn't a dealbreaker but maybe don't place him front of house.
