Rico helped me install operators for my casement windows. It was such a confusing, specialized project and Rico had the patience and knowledge to come up with a workable and affordable solution. He even had to fabricate some parts. The cranks had rusted/corroded in place and the person who worked on them previously really messed them up with odd replacements fittings, door hinges and by removing parts. I went to JBL, a business that specialized in that kind of hardware thinking I could just buy something, and they recommended JRG when I was responded to all their questions with a deer in the headlight look of confusion. Rico was very reliable, setting up a time to come see the project and sending back an estimate quickly. He explained what needed to be done and why clearly (tho I'm sure it was like explaining calculus to a beagle) and was very efficient in his work. The windows were not standard and there were lots of small parts that had to work together so I think that this was not a job that anyone could do. He cleaned up the work space neatly and on top of it all is a very nice guy. I feel confident that he is giving me a good, fair price for the work. I also appreciate his honest assessment. I asked him about some drywall work on the ceiling and said that for that level of damage one would need to replace the whole ceiling and treat for mold, which would be best handled by a contractor with a crew that could bring in a crew to do it fast and efficient. Replacing the screen doors tho, he said he could do some research and help me with. He is able to handle many types of building issues, guess that's what a good handyman is. I absolutely recommend JRG. read more
