Resty painted our condo and did some other handyman activities quickly and in our budget. Good communication. Would recommend.

Let's just skip to the important parts…read more 1: Communication - GREAT 2: Attitude - GREAT 3: Work - GREAT Finally - fantastic! I have worked with many handyman services and to be honest, most of them are good but not great. They do a decent job and sometimes they can't finish the job and then what? I have to finish it myself or hire someone else. Most of them don't return calls. You would be amazed how many don't return calls. I mean simple communication goes a long way. I didn't find Hideki, my wife did. I tried the usual Yelp searches and called a few. I filled out request forms and then never got a call back. One of them insisted that all I needed was a tool. Despite knowing the tool wouldn't work, I bought it anyway and of course the tool didn't work. In the meantime, my wife was talking to Hideki. He was a good communicator and he agreed to come by. I told him the job would be tough but he did it and he did GREAT. Now that I let you guys know about him, I hope he doesn't get so busy that he will be unavailable. But I have found the great handyman that we always knew existed but was so hard to find.

There are not that many handymen that do woodwork. Called around and Hideki gave me detailed…read moreinformation of what he would need to do and charged me reasonably for his work. He didn't charge by the hour, but gave me an estimate for what he would charge me for in order to complete the job. I had him cut our countertop on the first job, because the oven would not fit in the space of our prior oven, then after seeing his work and price, asked him if he could do my sink cabinet floor since it was sinking and rotted. He was informational, fast, professional, courteous, and personable. The first job, he called me within the hour of when he would be coming between the timeframe he estimated, and the second job, he came exactly on time of when he said he would. Yes, he's reliable, as his company name. I'd hire him again.

I've having hard time to open/close the door after the rain…read more Tyler replied quickly for the quote request. It was reasonable price & he scheduled the service immediately. He came on time & tried to find out low cost yet efficient way to fix, so I can save money. He fixed the issue & offered me less than half price of the quote. Very honest man. I highly recommend & will hire him again for another project.

Sorry but it's a long but worthwhile review. I really don't like giving bad reviews since it can…read morereally affect a business. But I felt I needed to in this case. I called Anytime Handyman to come out and replace 2 damaged doors and install 2 new doors. I sent a text message to let Tyler letting him know my lock box number since it's a rental and no one will be there to let him in. I gave explicit instructions as to which doors needed to replaced. (it was obvious because of the visible damages). He sent me the estimate, I agreed and paid for the doors so he could order it. They went back to the rental, and installed the new doors as planned. Here's the prolblem, they took off the wrong door (not damaged) and put the new door on. Leaving the damaged door still damaged. That's not the end of it, the latch was not installed properly, it had a hole and crack. As for the other door that they installed, there was also a problem, the strike plate and latch were off centered and wasn't closing properly. I called Tyler to tell him the wrong door was removed and replaced, and sent him a snap shot of the text I sent him when he went out for the estimate, explaining which doors needed to be replaced. His answer was, that's not how he interpreted it. Everything seemed to be wrong with the job. From the wrong door being replaced, to the damages to the door and the other door's latch not closing properly. He said not to worry and it's normal it's not a problem, just let him do his job. Now I'm no handyman but I do know how to install a lockset, and I've never seen a hole of that size, nor did I ever see a strike plate and latch installed at an angle. In Tyler's defense, he did say if I'm not happy he would give me a new door. But at this point, my trust with their quality of work has diminished. Not even a new door would make me continue to do business with them. I will take that loss, and stop all remaining repairs with this company. Update: I read the business owner's responses to my review. First of all, the "so called Painter's" was my daughter and son in law who came over the weekend to help paint the doors, only to find the damaged doors and discrepancies on the other door as well, including the wrong door that was removed. I would have no reason to damage these doors that I had already paid in Full upon completion on Weds. Lastly, it speaks volumes when a business owner would illegally break a homeowner's right of privacy and send photos to anyone requesting it, without prior authorization. I stand by my review.

I wanted to start off by saying what a pleasure it was dealing with Dave, Shay, and especially Brad…read more(their lead installer/handyman). I needed to replace the entry door to my unit and was recommended to Fix It Oahu. Long story short the entry door to my unit wasn't the easiest to replace. I was quoted around $900-1000 for the installation. The installation ended up taking longer than they thought due to unforeseen issues with the door frame. So instead of taking a day to install it took more like a day and a half. After the job was finished, I was told that unfortunately the price had gone up from $900 to $1400 for the additional labor and supplies. I'll be honest although it was a tough entry door installation, I wasn't a fan of the difference in cost. That's the only reason why I gotta give a 4/5 stars on my review. I wanted to try and save myself as much as I could prepping the door myself and finishing the body working and painting myself. Shout out and big thanks again to Brad!!! He does exceptional work and is very attentive and detailed. Awesome job on my entry door brotha I'm sure that him and the crew at Fix It Oahu will be more cautious with their estimates going forward. Quality workmanship for all of your home needs!!! Thanks again Fix It Oahu!!!

The owner Ron installed my TV mount outside and it was reasonable prices…read more Thank you Ron for your wonderful service.

The work Ron did was fine, but I would encourage you to proceed with caution. We learned after all…read morethis that Ron is neither licensed nor insured as a contractor in Hawaii. Ron came to check out our home office where we wanted barn doors installed and quoted "$1,000... maybe $1,500 max". Day 1 was removing trim and sanding / shaping drywall for rounded corners. Ron put up zero protection from the dust, creating the biggest mess I've ever seen... all over the furniture, rug, computers... every square inch was covered with sticky residue, so not just a simple dusting to clean it up (Pic 1), then drops of something or splatters of some kind were allowed to sit on our floors long enough that we're not sure the finish can be repaired. Pic 2 is after several attempts to restore. At the end of day 2 with the job unfinished (still needed primer, paint and to replace the baseboards he removed), Ron emailed me a bill for over $2,000. When questioned about the increase, Ron said, "The estimate I provided was a rough, verbal estimate given off the top of my head prior to full evaluation. Once work began and the full scope was uncovered, the actual time and materials required exceeded that initial estimate", even though mid-job he'd confirmed there was nothing unexpected or that would cause additional expense. When we discovered that the itemized supply prices were inflated by 30-50%, Ron said that was 'standard practice to cover sourcing, pick-up & transport', even though he'd also included his time to do so in his labor total. When it was all said and done, we paid more than he'd said would be max but less than the $2,000 he billed, we were left with an incomplete job and damage to our home, then although he left all the door trim & such he'd removed for us to deal with, he conveniently took the remainder of all supplies and everything usable to 'dispose of' himself, most importantly our baseboards that didn't belong to him and we now need to replace. I could go on and on about this but here's what I would suggest if you're thinking of hiring Ron or Triple R Services: -Get a written quote in advance worded to prevent any wriggle room or giant increases after the fact. -Insist upon protection of your property (containment) before any work is started. -Be sure you know exactly what he's taking with him when he leaves. -Do not pay the invoice until you're satisfied with all work / clean-up. Good luck!
