This has been my lifetime favorite place to get subs! Even living many states away I still compare all other subs to these! And they all fall short! We recently visited the area again to see family and my entire family had Jreck for lunch. We all loved every bite! My teenager says the French fries are amazing! I can say the shop itself needs updating, wouldn't hurt to expand to a larger location and get some real tables so families can come eat inside. The food is decent, toppings are minimal and the young girls that work there seem stoned. I've been to this location multiple times and each time I go in the two young ladies seem like they have just got done smoking a joint. Please add more toppings like Olives and spinach. Well to start with we ordered online and got home there was only 3 subs out of 4. Had to go back which is a 30 minute drive and gas prices are high. Then on a bit had no tomatoes, was missing pickles and asked for Chipotle mayo got regular mayo. On the other there was more bacon than turkey. Asked for extra pickles looked light light pickles. Very disappointed with the whole order. They mess up and they say their sorry. They should have gave a refund or something for their mess up . read more

Coming back from visiting relatives we stopped in to Jreck's in Lowville. It is so nice to see such product consistency with this franchise. It really has become our favorite sub shop because of just that. Always get a great sub with all our favorite fixings. I like Jreck's Subs but what a strange experience. I have never been to the Lowville location prior to today. The eating area is tiny and cramped. After you get your meal from a staff that to be honest with you looked like they could have doubled for the freaks from the traveling circus you head to your seat about 2 and a half foot away from the workers. The subs themselves were scrumptious like Jreck's Subs always are. Then the next strangeness of this experience reared its head. My kids had to go to the bathroom. I look around and realize yes I was correct I am in a space that is no bigger than my kitchen at home and see no bathroom. I ask one of the workers and they tell me it's in the back. So you actually walk right behind the counter where they are making the food and walk past the entire food prep/cooking area to use the staff bathroom in their break-room. Bizarre and kinda gross. Pretty good sub sandwiches. The bread is more dense than subway and doesn't get soggy as fast from all the veggies and dressing. There are a few appetizers that sounded tasty and weren't too pricey. This place makes great subs. The bread is super soft and the ingredients taste pretty fresh. It's kind of a bummer that they only have two bread choices but the end result is still better than Subway. The service could use some work though. While I was there the workers seemed pretty miserable and unresponsive. Aside from that I had a good experience here. Some people mention that the interior is too small but I feel like it is a pretty standard size for a sandwich spot. read more

I love Jrecks for sure, just not the one in lowville. The subs are always great, but the employees always seem miserable and unpleasant with people. Like they don't even want to be there. I use to love going but now it's just not the same. And you have to walk through the kitchen to go to the bathroom.. It's rather weird. read more

I decided to give Lowville another shot on my way up north. This past Friday afternoon, I was impressed. A whole new crew of sub makers really helped this place out. I got a whole on garlic & dill bread. It was phenomenal!!!! The Sour Cream fries went well with the sub roll. I'll be back again in the very near future! read more
