Door Dash has ruined the Wayback experience. I love Wayback burgers and their fries. But now, thanks to the pandemic, the store is clogged with delivery people waiting for their orders. Even though we the only ones in line to place an eat-in order, it took twenty five minutes to get our food. And the toppings were all wrong, but we had already waited so long we just ate what they brought us. And apparently none of the employees are tasked with emptying the garbage. This last time I waited as the only one in line for 10 minutes before someone took my order. The wait for food is even longer upwards of 30 minutes for a single persons meal (sandwich, side, and drink). We voted from this place twice and both times things were missing from my order. My daughter doesn't like to follow up so we went without onion rings one time and another time we went without two orders of french fries. the one thing I will say is that the burgers themselves are cooked perfectly and they were so good a little messy which is wonderful and my son's french fries I think they were loaded looked really good too and he enjoyed them. I ordered a single cheese, lettuce/pickle/tomato/shrooms and grilled onions. LUCKILY I'm staying right next door at the Candlewood. Got to my room and checked the burger? No grilled onions, no shrooms. I walked back in and opened the sandwich for them. Their first reaction was, "we can put some one for you?" Um, no. The burger is cold now. I would like a new burger. Didn't get an apology or verbal acknowledgment that they did wrong but she tells the prep person behind her, "That's another one missing stuff they ordered." Another? Then she asked me if I would like bacon on the burger. No. "Bacon" doesn't give me my time back, which is the reason for going to a fast food establishment. I got my burger, the correct way, but it was so blah I almost wished I got a refund. How, when not busy at all, you can't get a simple order right? How are you having multiple orders a day apparently (conjecture on my point) that is missing items? And then when I received my CHEEEESY burger the cheese wasn't melted at all as in pictured.. just pieces of square cheese plopped on. Needed salt cause my table the salt shaker was empty and Pretty much the other 3 tables to check for salt and they all were empty as well. And then at the end of our meals we asked where's the Cinnamon Toast Shake and they forgot about it, then when we received it.. it looked nothing as it did on the Menu. Very poor communication. Their crew needs to know how to make the stuff pictured on the MENU and remember orders properly along with greeting and acknowledging their Customers. Was disappointed with today's meal. Used app to order and selected curbside pickup from the options. The order review listed curbside pickup. I arrived at the restaurant about 4 minutes after the scheduled "ready time" but did not see any instruction for curbside pickup so I called from the parking lot and was told they were preparing the order and was bring it out shortly. Understanding that curbside was a new service offered due to the corona virus I was willing to wait but after 20 minutes I decided that was to long. I when in and asked about my order. The cook asked my name looked at the bags and handed one without another word. I checked that my name was on the receipt, took the bag and left. There were 2 customers that left with their orders while I waited outside and 4 more waiting inside when I wet in so maybe 7 orders at 4:15pm was an unexpected rush's and curbside was a new offering so I am willing to write the wait and lack of curbside to that but a smile or thank you would have been nice. When I got home and opened the bag first thing I saw was the frys were missing. Oh well. Then the onion rings were fried to death, so hard they were in-chewable. The chicken tenders were also overdone but edible. The burgers at least were up to standard. Individually none of these things would be upsetting but taken together made us decide that we will wait until the virus is gone before trying Wayback again. read more

I really love how the burgers are freshly cooked on order. Great selection and variety of burgers to choose from and the customization choices you have. The staff are friendly, the restaurant is easily accessible with plenty of parking spaces. Cleanliness standard is pretty high as far as I can see, which is one of the things I look for when I visit restaurants. Few cons I can think of is the wait time. I've been to plenty of other fresh burger joints and the wait time for here is a lot longer for some reason. Another con I have is the pricing. It's definitely towards the high end considering that it's still fast food. I always wondered what made it so expensive? Are the burgers organic? are they using GMO free products? Or do they not use any frozen foods? I feel like $22 for 2 classic combos is pretty expensive. But other than that, I definitely recommend family and friends to try this place out.
