Jr.'s was the best auto garage experience I have had in YEARS and I will 10000% continue coming here! I always bring my car to the dealership but it's far away and honestly it's exhausting on the bank account to go through dealership prices as they're undeniably always higher. Jr.'s prices were very fair and he was personable, friendly and most importantly to me - not salesy! One thing I absolutely loved, unlike anywhere else I have ever been, is that he actually gave me my OLD part back after replacing it with a new one! THAT, to me, just goes to show you that they are backing up what they stand for: honest and trustworthy service. unfortunately, I read the negative reviews when it was too late and they turned out to be accurate. this shop had my car for almost 2 weeks total, charged me $3k, and 2 months later ... the exact same problem came back as if it was never fixed. I then took my car to the dealership of its brand and they have to redo everything this shop supposedly fixed. and of course, JR Auto Repair only takes Zelle or cash so there's no way to get your money back after you realize they stole from you. Junior asked me to bring my car back so they can take a look, but I have no faith in this shop to get things done properly. my car is too important for their incapable hands. Junior has a terrible attitude and you can tell by his sassy responses to the negative reviews that he is absolutely guilty of being a scammer. on top of being a scammer, the shop is overall unprofessional. I had to text and call several times for updates on my car. the price went up every time we spoke. they left hand prints all over hood and interior of the car. all on top of not actually fixing anything. overall, I feel taken advantage of. Junior asked me my age and commented that he thought I was much younger and he also asked what I do for a living as I have a nice car. he also made sure to mention before he even saw the car how expensive repairs can be on it just based off the brand. to me, he saw a young woman with a nice car and decided I would be an easy target, and I fell for it. please, do NOT bring your car to this shop. Junior absolutely is a salesman and he will say anything to get you to agree with him. do not make the same VERY EXPENSIVE mistake I made. read more

I had my vehicle checked by a certified mechanic after the work was completed by Jr's Auto Repair because the work I requested done was completed in such a short period of time by one man. After researching for the approximate time for each of these jobs to be completed it should have taken a total of 4 - 6 hours. Mine was done in an hour and a half. The certified mechanic I brought my vehicle to, inspected the locations of work that was supposed to have been completed and there was no signs of the work being done. I was scammed by this place. I have no idea how people can do this to another human being, but rest assure somehow somewhere someone is going to do the same to you and or your family and you had better not get upset because just remember you do the same thing!!! After reviewing what the warranty was going to pay we agreed on how much I was going to pay out of pocket and unfortunately that number changed by almost 40% by the time the job was done. Be careful and have all agreements on writing with this people. read more

I was here today for an oil change and a break job. My first time. The owner is the mechanic and does everything. Clean place and pretty fast job. For a synthetic oil change and a ceramic brake pads change(all 4) for 325$ and a 4 years brakes coverage, I think is pretty fair price. Took 2hours to complete the job. Did not sell me other services that I usually encounter when I go to chain and name brand shops. The shop is not easy to find. It is off the main drag -Narcoossee. There is a less conspicuous sign outside the main road. You might not notice the place if you are just driving by. I read all the comments about the place. I am not deterred by the 1 stars. My reason, if the owner himself takes time to respond to comments, that shows honesty and integrity. It shows that the owner cares about customer service. That's why I wanna give him a try. Carlos is an honest mechanic! My car overheated on the highway and he took it in without appointment even though it was Labor Day. He kept it overnight for a full diagnosis and found that I have burned through my head gasket ~ being that I had a BMW 3-series, the aluminum warped and I was in need of a new engine. Carlos was very honest and upfront with what I needed and offered his services to find an economical solution. Even though I didn't go through with the engine replacement, Carlos did not charge me for the diagnostic and was just happy to help. A very genuine man. I had an issue with my breaks and I called in yesterday around noon to inform the shop that I would be dropping off my car before 5pm (shop closes at 5pm). I arrived to the store at 4:40 pm and the front door was locked. I called the number repeatedly with no reply. I understand that the owner may have had an issue and needed to leave, but if that is the case, he or she should have called me so I wouldn't have to make the drive. 1 star for customer service. read more

This place is awful! they will take advantage of you. I came in to get the maintenance light checked on my car. He over charged to run a diagnostic on my car. Then tried to get me to do $800 worth of work. Three of the things he suggested I had recently gotten fixed. When it was all said and done nothing actually needed to be fixed. He went to check my oil AFTER already telling me I needed an oil change. Then when I went to pay he told me it was taxes that made the price go up but after paying there was an added fee for "Supplies" that I was not told about. Not sure what the supplies are because there was no work done on my car. The only thing positive is that he got me in faster than he said he would. read more

Ultimate in lost leader marketing. $12 oil change is the best deal around (it ends up being $19 after recycling and disposal fees). However, they'll try and sell you on other services. They changed my brakes 6 months ago. Today I went in for an oil change and was told my pads weren't good anymore. I asked him why they went bad so quickly and when did they change them for me. I really wanted to like this place because it's close and seemed to have mostly positive reviews but I won't be back. My wife took our van in to have the AC fixed - they told her it would be $89 for the diagnostic. At first the guy, seemed like a really cool guy. We felt great about it. They called us back later and said it would be about $1200 to get the whole thing fixed. We decided to hold off bc we were debating trading it in for a new van anyway. When we went to pick it up, they charged us $197.90 because they had performed some other services that they "had to in order to complete the diagnostic." I feel if you're going to do anything above the $89 we agreed to, a simple phone call would have been appropriate. We ended up paying it but because that seemed a little shady, we decided to take it across the street to Firestone for a second opinion. We got the whole thing fixed that day for about $700... and they didn't do anything until we gave them the "ok." Tried to save a few bucks by avoiding the big box shops but it bit me. I'll just be going to Firestone from this point on... it was worth $197 I guess to learn my lesson but you can learn from my experience for free! read more

I have gone to JRs for over a year and he always does great work at very reasonable prices. I took a Honda CRV in for work because it was running rough. The Honda dealer wanted to do a valve job for over $2000 but Jr did a tune up and put a cleaner in the engine, kept it all weekend and got it running smoothly for $600. He has work for several larger garages before he opened his own garage so he is very experienced at auto repair. read more

After getting my oil changed there for almost a year I am not allowed to come in for another oil change. I have recommended this place to every friend that has asked me about an oil change. Unfortunately I cannot do that any longer. While doing my oil change they recommended that the brakes get changed out. I totally agreed that they needed to be changed out but I could not afford it at the moment. I called to consult with my father about the difficulty of this job and he advised me that he would be able to do the job for me because it was not too complicated. When I informed the owner of this he advised me that he would not be able to do the oil change on my second vehicle today because I have "another mechanic" and he should be doing all of the work on my vehicle. My father can do simple repairs on vehicles and considers it a hobby so I will not pay for a service when he is willing and able to do it for me. I certainly will have other repairs that he wont be able to handle but unfortunately I wont be bringing that business to this mechanic. So if you only want an oil change, don't come to this location. I guess they have plenty of customers and do not need another oil change customer. I will also be telling everyone that has been there before to take their business elsewhere. read more

I truly do not even know where to begin..... our daughter moved to Orlando for college and we found this establishment to be a great place at first, junior was very professional in the beginning even giving our Daughter a ride home one night, as her car was not ready. We started having issues with the car and he had reassured us it could be fixed for approximately $1300, we agreed and had the compressor replaced. Not even a week later our daughter had to go back to him THREE times to be exact for the same issue, he explained it could be a faulty compressor and he supposedly replaced it, she had AC for ONE whole day! After several trips back and fourth, he told us he' s not sure what's going on and that it's probably an electrical issue, and that he does not deal with this. We have spent nearly $1300 for absolutely nothing! He installed all new equipment and she is still driving around with NO AC in the sweltering sun. After seeing the car for ourselves and realizing no change and $1300 out, my father called, the owner became very rude to him for simply asking questions. We understand things go wrong but if the job became too much for them to handle they should have simply referred us out and gave us our money back or at least a portion of it. The only recommendation we got was to go spend even more money fixing the electrical problem that wasn't even an issue before the compressor read more

Great shop, had the unfortunate situation of getting my front and rear door windows smashed in and needed to be replaced.
