We first discovered this spot about 3 years ago, and since then it's now a tradition to stop in so she can browse the inventory. They specialize in offering clothing for women that have "more to love" (my words not theirs aka plus size) I only know of the 2 same ladies that we see every time we visit and they're the best! At times my wife can be very shy and uncomfortable when shopping for herself and it was so heartwarming to see how patient and helpful they were with her. It also made her feel so special. Since that 1st visit we've returned several times and she loves their selection of various dresses and blouses in all kinds of colors and styles. We make it a point to visit often because they're always adding to their inventory. last year I purchased some items from the Glam Envy website and returned them all because the…read moresizing was way off. I wear a size 12 and their size 13 in jeans barely covered one of my legs. Because they don't offer cash back, only store credit and some of the items aren't eligible to be returned at all I didn't want to take the risk in online ordering again and having the same problem. *also be advised the store credits do have an expiration date* I knew I was coming to LA so I decided that I would make a trip to the store front to redeem my store credit. The boutique is really cute inside, small, and I didn't have any problem finding street parking. There is a pretty good selection of items if you're between sixes 2-8 but larger than that you'll be a bit limited. I tried on several items and most of them just did not fit my body properly. A lot of the fabrics are thin and sheer, the dresses and skirts I tried on showed my underwear so beware of that also. I found the most success in accessories and jackets. I purchase a jumpsuit that fit me perfectly and it is a size 2X. In no other store have I ever fit into a 2X but I liked it enough to keep. The prices are pretty expensive based on the quality and I did not see any sale section inside of the store. A mini backpack, jumpsuit, duster and pair of no-name sunglasses was over $200. Thankfully my credit was $160 and covered most of that. Staff were helpful and friendly, I would consider the customer service 5 stars but I know I won't shop here again based on the sizing, selection and prices.

What truly stands out is that with the order, I received a card thanking me for my purchase. Instead of feeling welcomed, I felt judged. I was asking about a dress, and an older employee with blonde hair looked me up and down before telling me the dresses wouldn't fit me. I'm an extra small, so the comment was both unnecessary and confusing. It came across as dismissive and unprofessional. The staff also seemed very pushy rather than helpful. While I was there, I noticed other customers asking questions, only to be met with the same unfriendly attitude. Several people ended up leaving instead of continuing to shop. It honestly felt like the store was losing potential business because of the way customers were being treated.

There are several stores that carries higher end selections -- this store carried the cheap versions but their "new rule" is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Haa 9 months out is not unusual to look for a wedding dress as you need to set the tone of the wedding. I wasn't going to argue -- dresses like theirs are a dime a dozen down there so we just left. She found a nice dress 5 stores down so their loss. Very disappointing as an event stylist, as I have brought/sent several clients in to purchase dresses from this establishment... not no more. Of course their attitude changed a bit when they saw that I was with them and not 4 young girls alone.... not sure if the sales team thought a set of girls were trying on wedding dresses for fun in the shithole of LA.... news flash, people only go there to find a deal haa. As an event stylist, my advice is to try other small stores in dtla before this one. Pretty much all stores carry the same dresses anyway-- we found the same styles approx $25 cheaper elsewhere, sales reps were very accommodating (although the sales girl at Trendy looked mortified when the older asian manager told me the aforementioned) and the other store threw in alterations of the bodice/sleeves included -- SCORE! My bride really only needs to pay for a hem and bussle so the new bridal shop saved her more, more, more!! Will NEVER have one of my young brides be embarrased & feeling discriminated against. Shame on them....

We went to a different store and the line for the dressing room was 1 hour per 2 dresses! The ladies here are helpful. And for the same cost as other stores, the dresses had more pizzazzz here.
