I was originally told 2-3 weeks and it would be ready. After numerous unreturned calls, multiple visits to the shop, and 3 months I finally had my grapple bucket. It lasted 3-4 hours of light use before one of the hydraulic cylinder mounts ripped itself off of the end of the grapple. Upon inspection the other cylinder was about to rip free as well. I returned the bucket to Jack and explained how quickly it failed. I was then told it would be ready in a day or two. Two weeks later I was told it was done and to come get it. Horrible customer service and business model. A friend of mine had a 96" grapple bucket built at the same time as mine. He received his first and within a day or two he had ripped the whole bottom of the bucket apart and had to return it to jack for a rebuild. In both cases the buckets were significantly beefed up after the repairs and have been good since. Unfortunate they couldn't have been built tougher the first time and on a more timely manner with better service. I would steer far clear of Macholl Metals for any projects you have in mind. Everything sounds great up front and Jack seems like a good guy but once the project gets rolling you find out differently.

The scope of the project grew as we realized that we needed more things done in the house before we could move in, which included: installing several interior and exterior doors, removing and reinstalling a built-in set of drawers, installing and fixing flooring, removing a built-in wet bar in the basement, doing some work in a bathroom so we could put in a new vanity and bathtub, removing a wall between two rooms so one could be turned into a walk-in closet, making a small alcove into a closet, stripping down a door to be refinished, making shelf supports for our long pantry shelves so they don't bow from the weight, and helping fix a basement leak that was due to the prior owner not properly fastening his deck to the foundation. I am sure there some things I am forgetting, but the bottom line is that Patrick and Chris were always up to doing what we needed done. They were on time, professional, friendly and easy to work with. Patrick was great about providing quotes for all of the work, and had very reasonable prices. In addition, when I needed a contractor for something that he couldn't do, he knew someone in the area he could recommend, and those recommendations (of which there were several for: roofing, plumbing and tile work) worked out great. My wife and I appreciate the great work that Patrick and Chris did, and would highly recommend them for any type of construction project - whether it's big or small.

We knew we didn't want tile/grout or…read moreglass shower doors again due to the high mineral content in our water making cleaning so difficult. The shower was made bigger with a bigger shower pan and removal of the soffit. The rainfall shower head and hand shower, product niche, 2 corner shelves and a folding seat make the shower feel like a sanctuary. We had the shower rod raised a foot higher than standard too. We purchased all the other things like vanity, mirrors and lights. You're going to need to have your own vision though. There are a few minor "flaws" like lack of caulking around the medicine cabinet, dirty smudges on walls and ceiling but I was able to clean those. Caulking still needs to be done. But given how great the shower is and the great work installing of the vanity, lights and mirrors we had a very good experience! I'd give 4.5 stars if that was an option.

Chris came by and quoted the job at $3,000 total. He asked for a $1,500 deposit, and I immediately sent it. He said the job would take a maximum of one week. I had no idea I was about to enter a nightmare. A few days later, he called asking for $1,000 from the job to fix his truck. I gave him $750 for the truck since I felt bad and was trying to be gracious. I felt very uncomfortable because even less than 20% of the work was done. I have PAID a TOTAL of $2,250 out of $3,000 for a base coat that has turned my mom's home into a huge mess since he never came back. It has been over 2 months. I reached out many times, and he said he can't help me due to his health. I was very patient and kind. I kindly asked for a refund so I could fix it with someone else and finish my mom's home. Now it looks worse than before. I wish everyone the best of health. It breaks my heart that my mom used her money to make this repair, and still, no steps were finished. Chris (Jimmy Curtis) never made it a priority, instead taking on other work in the process. He hasn't answered any of my calls and has occasionally texted back, saying he will reach out in a week, over 10 times. I gave up and am forced to write a review, and I hope I can save someone else from the loss. I found TopPro through Facebook Marketplace. The page was Frank Christo, he said his son was Jimmy Curtis when he needed Zelle payment. Apps kept declining the money due to past scam reports on his numbers. I wish I saw the signs. My mother lost $2,250. May God bless and help anyone in need so that they may not have to go through this themselves.
