We met Danielle and her wonderful team while actively engaged searching for our friends missing dog that had run away from their house shortly after being adopted. This started the "legend of Benni" after many weeks of searching, Danielle never gave up hope and encouraged her team, despite many emotions and numerous thoughts about where Benni might be or might have gone. We observed first hand what happens when caring people come together for a common cause with a motivated, caring leader. Yes it was a team effort, but we finally found Benni and she was returned to health. Out of this came our agreeing to serve as foster parents and we fell in love with one of the puppies we watched over and named her Benni in honor of our search for the other Benni months before. Now fast forward many month later and we still communicate and interact with Danielle and her awesome team of volunteers. So, if you are looking for your perfect canine companion, or perhaps are looking to help out by volunteering as a foster or at the rescue itself, check out their website, or stop by the rescue and save a life. All of our dogs are rescues and we love them and love Apollo Support and Rescue! I am sure you will too!

Apollo staff works with them to prepare them socially for a better transition into their new family. The staff at the Justin rescue center are friendly and helpful. Recently, I had a stellar experience working with one of the staff for a puppy adoption. She promptly replied to my inquiry and provided updates through the process. I highly recommend Apollo for finding a wonderful new furry addition to your family!

They are very thorough in making sure the right person, home meets the criteria they are looking for. The adoption process was fast, understandable and easy. Being approved to adopt was a great experience. Going to PetSmart was easy to find and the process there was very organized, with volunteers who had knowledge of the dog I adopted. Her name was Little Bit when I got introduced to her and now she is Lynnie! Spending over 4 hours with her and to bound with each other was beautiful. The moment she saw me and I saw her, I felt a connection that I knew, she was for me. She wagged her tail, barked and I blew her a kiss. Then the volunteer brought her to me and the journey began. They allowed me to take as much time with her as possible. The process of signing agreements was fast and understandable. They are taking care of all her shots, spay, microchipping etc. I would totally recommend, as they recommend to go on the website, look for a dog you're interested in and fill out the application. That way when you are approved, you get an email and a first choice or second choice, depending on how many people were approved and before you. Get there early and stay in line. There was over 40ish people in line when I got there but skipped the line and became person 2, because I was approved. I totally would recommend this rescue to adopt from, surrender a pet or foster a pet until the pet is adopted. They are very friendly and helpful! Thank you Pooch Savers! James & Lynnie!

There are veterinarians who treat animals, and then there are veterinarians who truly understand…read morethe bond we share with them. Texas Avian & Exotics is firmly in the second category. Finding exceptional veterinary care for birds is incredibly difficult. Avian medicine is highly specialized, their illnesses are often subtle, and they require a level of expertise that simply isn't available at most veterinary practices. At Texas Avian & Exotics, I found not only extraordinary knowledge, but genuine compassion. A warm shout-out to Dr. Jones, Katlyn, her veterinary assistant, and Kayen at the front desk for treating Tweetie--my beloved Queen of Bavaria Conure--with such kindness, patience, and respect, and for finding a way to work us in as new patients the very same day. Birds can decline with heartbreaking speed, and heading into a holiday weekend with a very sick bird was frightening. Your willingness to help immediately meant more than you know. Dr. Jones was thorough, thoughtful, and incredibly educational. She performed same-day blood work and Gram stains, then took the time to explain the findings, what they meant, and the path forward. I left feeling informed, reassured, and confident that Tweetie was receiving excellent care. After recently losing my dog, Skye, my emotions have been very close to the surface. The kindness shown to me during this visit did not go unnoticed. You understand that these extraordinary little creatures are not "just pets"--they are family. That compassion is evident in every interaction. If you share your life with a bird or another exotic companion, I cannot recommend Texas Avian & Exotics highly enough. Their medical expertise inspires confidence, their professionalism is exceptional, and their compassion reminds you that you and your cherished companion are in exactly the right hands. Thank you for caring so deeply about the remarkable little lives entrusted to you.

I am extremely disappointed with how this veterinary hospital handled my bird's bloodwork…read more I paid for a chemistry panel, but two of the results came back as zero, including potassium. These results were obviously not accurate, and I was told that the hospital's machine had malfunctioned. Since the testing error was caused by their equipment--not by anything I did--I reasonably expected them to repeat the incomplete and inaccurate panel at no additional charge. Instead, the hospital has refused to redo the chemistry panel unless I pay for it again. I do not believe a customer should have to pay twice for a test simply because the clinic's machine failed the first time. I paid for complete, accurate bloodwork and did not receive it. This is especially upsetting because pet owners depend on veterinary professionals for reliable medical information. When testing equipment fails, the clinic should take responsibility and correct the problem--not pass the cost on to the client. I attempted to resolve this directly with the hospital before posting this review, but they still refused to provide the repeat chemistry panel at no charge. I cannot recommend a veterinary hospital that will not stand behind the medical testing its clients have already paid for.

On Saturday, May 9, 2026, the Frisco PetsMart on Preston Road held an adoption event where, right away, my Mom and I fell in love with Addie. We were drawn to her for some reason, and we knew right then, we needed to do the full adoption. A few days prior, we were informed that my Aunt was not doing well and we would most likely be out of the country for about two months. I e-mailed Yvette, the president of Lost Paws Rescue Organization, if she would be able to keep Addie with her until we returned (August 9th) and she agreed. When I met Yvette in person to pick up Addie at PetsMart on Saturday, August 15th, she was so sweet and pleasant to talk to. Thank you for leading us to Addie. We are head over heels in love with her. She is currently enrolled in training classes. She does well on a leash now and is slowly coming out of her shell after having adapted to our home environment.

After meeting up with Yvette I was given 8 hours to make my decision. I asked if I could see Nachos vet records with no reply. That was already a red flag. I took a day to think and I was ready to adopt. Yvette said he was no longer available, however he remained on the website. When I mentioned this she did not respond. I showed up to the adoption event the next week and there he was!! I feel if they truly cared about the animals they would be accommodating and work harder to rehome. Overall, I believe Lost Paws is running a sketchy business. The whole interaction with Yvette was very off putting. My heart breaks for Nacho as I was ready to adopt and give him a great new home and all the love!!
