Very accommodating for three of. us. Fastest manicure ever, we were all done in 20 minutes. Clean salon and young guy was a little flirty and borderline harassing with my daughter in law. I don't believe the elderly people that worked there even understood what he was saying to her with his obscene comments. Then another lady came in with her daughter and he started with her saying she needs a sugar daddy to take care of her ...telling the girls they needed to pick nail color #69 ...he never let up. If I could give zero rating I would. Having a girls day (4) of us, called ahead to make sure they could take us. They said yes! They couldn't take all of us upon arrival! So my sister & I decided that since we were doing lunch after, we better skip it! Meanwhile my DIL needed fills, he talked her into powder, ok... NO SOAKING! He ripped her nail making her bleed! He called me rude for changing my mind because I couldn't wait another hour! My DIL said we'll, we did call ahead?!? He was rude & insulting practically calling her a baby because the way he took off previous acrylics hurt her! My niece had cold water pedicure and it was 120.00 for those two things! The price is right - $20 for a pedicure - but I was less than thrilled with the service. The nail tech was rough enough with my cuticles that she caused pain, and she was so involved with the movie that was playing on the TV behind her that she kept stopping my pedicure to turn around and watch it. I mean, look, I get it -- not all of us want to be at work. But if you're customer service-oriented, you don't give your customer the impression that you want to be somewhere else. I doubt I'd go here again, in all honesty. Which is too bad, considering this place is the closest nail salon to my home. Oh well. Onward... read more

I normally don't do this, but when I was at Joy Nails off Enterprise drive I was waiting to get my toes repainted due to the fact that they messed up yesterday because they were not dry and I was rushed out. Today as I'm waiting for my paint to dry I am asked to get up from my seat because a white woman and her daughter comes in for a pedicure. There are two available seats on the opposite side of me that are not occupied. They will no longer get my business and yes I am very livid and hurt, but I did not portray the stereotypical angry black woman. So all black women I would STRONGLY advise you to not be a consumer at Joy nails nail shop because you may be asked to give up your seat like Rosa Parks. read more

I love this nail salon because of the price. I get a gel manicure just the shellac and it is $15. The costumer service is very bad and basically non existent. But the manicure lasts about 3 weeks and is so well priced. I've been to many places and Joy Nails continually gives me the best and longest lasting manicure. Also they are always playing crime shows on the TV. read more

This was my first time to this salon and the lady who helped me did a fantastic job with my nails. I got a gel fill-in with French and she did a great job. I went in the afternoon and no one was there so I assume they don't get a lot of business. Very reasonably priced as well, I didn't see a price list anywhere while I was in there though. read more

I simply cannot seem to get a good nail service in Lynchburg! I called Joys Nails the morning of my friend's wedding to schedule a last-minute mani. The gentleman that I spoke to was quick to accommodate me, which was nice. I went in on Saturday morning, and the place was completely empty except for one employee. Most of the nail polishes appeared old, but I finally selected one that looked relatively decent. Then my service commenced. The gentleman never asked me what shape or length I wanted my nails to be, and everything felt a little dirty. When he was done with my cuticles and nails, he asked me to go wash my hands. At the sink, I inspected my nails and noticed that my cuticles looked awful. They were choppy and some long pieces of partially cut cuticle were dangling from my fingers. How did he not notice?? I went back and asked him to finish cutting my cuticles, which he did. The towels available for hand-drying looked clean but were covered with tiny cotton fibers that wouldn't come off my hands and ruined the polish on a few fingers. The gentleman agreed to redo those fingers as well. While I was getting my service, three women came in requesting walk-in pedicures. The gentleman told them to stay, but then made them wait while I finished my service (they probably had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes). When I left, I still wasn't sure how he planned on doing all three services by himself! This place is reasonably priced and the gentleman was nice, which is the only reason I am giving any stars at all. However, I will definitely be getting my nails done BEFORE I come to Lynchburg again. read more

I have never bothered writing any kind of review before, but this place was so horrible I had to write a review to warn everyone to steer clear. This was the worst manicure and pedicure I have ever had. The owner did my nails; she rushed through the whole process, was much too abrasive, obviously irritated, with her job, and did a horrible job on both of my nails. Neither my pedicure nor my manicure (I had shellac gel) lasted a week. The entire place was filthy and on top of it all, it was expensive. Never, ever again. read more

I always feel so disappointed with the service here. They do a good job which keeps me coming back, but each time I think, why did I come here? The workers are more interested in having conversations with each other than actually doing nails or waxing eyebrows. It's pretty ridiculous when you go in for a quick wax and the girl literally stands in the doorway for 5 min just yelling across the whole place to talk about something personal. Needed a manicure while visiting a friend...im from out of town. This place is really unclean. I will not go back. There were dirty towels on the floor, the floor was really dirty, there was nail dust everywhere, and dust bunnies in the corner. In addition, the nail tech got red polish on my cuticles and skin. I had to point her to the spots and ask that she fix it. I could have just painted my own nails for free at home! When I told the manger that she was sloppy, I got something mubled in response. TERRIBLE! Literally the worst nail experience I've ever had. I was in town, visiting friends and went with a friend to get a French gel polish and manicure. I asked that they not take any length. The guy insisted on just filing them, which shorten them leaving one longer than the rest. When I asked him to even it up with the others he took a nail cutter and cut my nail to the quick. I had an quarter of an inch nail growth. After that, I just ask that he paint them a solid color since there was no tip left to paint. You could sense his frustration, he cut me trying to do my cuticles with his power sander and clippers, I again asked him not to cut anything else. He then began to glob paint on unevenly leaving lumpy accumulation and refused to fix it and set it. He got mad when I said something and asked the lady to finish them while he moved on to a pedicure that came in. The lady tried to fix them and get the already set polish off my cuticles. She asked me to come back another night and she would fix them. She knew how bad they were and still charged me $30. I shouldn't have paid. My friend got a full set of acrylics with two polishes, which she also hates and was charged $40. So whoever said a gel manicure is $15 in the reviews below is incorrect. I just wanted to get out of there as fast as I could. read more
