Pep pizza
Karlee J.

Love this new location of joy ride. Counter service restaurant with lots of options! We opted for the large pep and 1/2 dozen garlic know with salted Carmel froyo! It was really flavorful and also beautiful presentation. The pizza came out quickly and was hot!! Lots of seating inside and some outside seating. Beautifully touch with all the plants and fresh flowers. Great vibes in there! Workers were helpful and so kind to our little one. Will be coming back. Also props to them for using too good to go and cutting down on food waste!!! Love supporting good companies like this one.

I tried this pizza at a brewery one time, but was excited to go to an actual location. The sweet heat pineapple has to be one of my favorites! The sweetness from the pineapple and the heat from the jalapeños create the perfect taste combo in your mouth. The sauce is also amazing! It adds so much flavor to the pizza. I really enjoyed this location because there was a lot of seating and the benches on the side were a nice cozy touch. Parking was fairly easy since we went into the garage, but I'm sure street parking is a little difficult. The cashier was really nice and greeted us when we came in. Our food came out fast which is always a plus!

"Smokin' Hot Mother Clucker", juicy chikin'!

I'm from Buffalo. I lived a mile away from The Anchor Bar who invented Buffalo wings. I can make the spot-on recipe myself. I take wings seriiousssly. When I share Joyride Pizza 's wings are legit, order them, lots of them, lots and lots. They are full of flavor, juicy and succulent. With a few sheet pizzas, you'll host a house party they'll be talking about for a long time. Joyride Pizza's Detroit-style pizza is equally taste-worthy: With a mouthwatering list of choices, it's hard to decide which pizza to order. They have salads and roast vegetables, too, and sides that include "hot honey" that I missed, mmmm. Housemade marinara, pesto ("Green Ecstasy Pesto") topped with an abundance of pepperoni or with capers, clams, tomatoes, parsley ("The Ocean Beach") we landed on the 2-piece "Smokin' Hot Mother Clucker" BBQ chicken personal pizza, all flavors of delicious: Smoky, hot, a little spicy and savory- totally unique and amazing. Enjoy the vibe with relaxing zen atmosphere in the dining room with cool jazz and world music. Clean plates, more napkins and lots of questions answered by Ever who knows a lot about his company and is really dedicated. Joyride Pizza has dairy free, vegan ("Sweet Bianca" with Tallegio, fig jam, ricotta, mozzarella and brick cheese) and gluten free options- come one, come everyone! Beer, wine and cool soda sips.

We first ate at another location and it was soooooo good! So we had to come back to the city and eat more! We found another branch that had nice seating and a more casual but fun place to sit and eat. This pizza was amazing!!! The service is so nice!

Just opened today! Another Joyride pizza shop amongst their other Bay Area stores. Nice location on Union Street with a open and airy space. Love the groovy Playlist too. Detroit-style whole pies come in personal (2 slices) or large (6 slices). Tried the mushroom sausage and it was very good. Foccacia bread crust was fantastic. En-JOY the pie-RIDE.

Joyride Pizza's new location is a fantastic addition to the Detroit-style pizza scene. I stopped by with my coworkers for a quick bite and left feeling completely fulfilled and stuffed. For Detroit-style pizza, it's impressively light and not overly doughy, which made it even more enjoyable. As a big fan of corner slices, I was happy with the crisp edges and generous toppings. Next time, I'll probably ask them to cook it a little longer to get that extra crunch on the undercarriage, which is just a personal preference. The seating arrangement inside is incredibly comfy and adds to the experience. For a chain, it's not your stereotypical Starbucks-style table setup that feels barebones. Instead, it's more homey and inviting, which makes it a great place to relax while enjoying your meal. The quick service and convenient cold water station nearby were much appreciated. To top it all off, we got to meet the owner, who was incredibly nice and clearly passionate about what he does. That love for his craft shines through in every bite of his pizza. Joyride Pizza is a must-try for anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying Detroit-style pizza experience in the Cow Hollow area. I'll definitely be back!

I came in after 2pm for lunch. Ordered the personal size of my pizza. They have many selections of pizza including vegan and vegetarian options. Service was great and the cashier told me it would take 10 minutes to make my pizza. Ambiance is clean, modern and surrounded by natural light!

The spot is super cute, clean, and has a good vibe--and the restroom was clean too, which is always a plus! The service was great, and my husband actually really enjoyed the pizza. As for me, Detroit-style pizza isn't really my thing. The sauce sitting on top instead of being baked into the crust just doesn't do it for me--I'm guessing that's part of the style, but it's not my favorite. We spent around $50 for the two of us and left still a little hungry, so I do think it's a bit pricey for the portion. The pizza looked better in the pics, but it was still decent overall. I'd probably come back if I were already in the neighborhood, but there are definitely better options and better value out there.

I visited this location after a fitness class nearby. The employee was friendly and gave me a few minutes to check out their menu. I ended up getting a pandan mochi cake and blueberry muffin. Who would've thought they'd have such interesting pastries at a pizzeria. I didn't get to try their pizzas yet, but will return for more. The ambiance was nice. The water station was really neat too.

The pizza is way too salty, it was gross. Despite all the salt it was still bland. Would not recommend this place ever.

I loved the combo of the yogurt with sweet oranges, and the bread was amazing! Super fluffy and soft. I want to recreate this at home asap. The potatoes were super crispy (a little on the salty side) and the sauce that came on the side was so delicious. Will definitely come back to try more of the menu (was eyeing the caesar salad) & for a glass of wine!

The burrito salad was alright, could have used a little more flavor in my opinion. I really like the small plates and sharing atmosphere of this place, and appreciate all of the vegetarian forward options. I will say if you make a reservation (I'd recommend, it's a small place and gets busy) be sure to be prompt as part of our group was running about 10 minutes late, and the servers kindly let us know we only had the table for an hour and a half, which is fairly strict on weekends.

I also appreciated the non-alcoholic options, including my favorite Fentiman's rose lemonade. I would definitely recommend this place, especially for happy hour. And the service matches that energy perfectly: polished, warm, and present without hovering. And don't skip the cocktails. They're a core part of the experience. Their version of an Espresso Martini was my favorite of the night... and I'm not even a coffee drinker. Foodwise, everything was paced beautifully. We started with their playful "smoke break," a crunchy seaweed cigar stuffed with sweet Dungeness crab and caviar. The agnolotti was filled with ricotta and goat cheese, layered with Burgundy truffle and mushroom, and tied together with an aromatic onion porcini consommé. Warm malted pretzel bread came next with a silky Mornay sauce topped with caviar and mustard for dipping. The brandade of salted cod with light, airy whipped potatoes disappeared in a few spoonfuls, and the dry-aged kampachi mosaic, paired with truffle purée and finished with uni béarnaise and more truffle, was one of those bites you pause for. The highlight was the two-part course: matsutake chawanmushi with crab dashi and browned butter, paired with unbelievably tender abalone finished with a sauce made from its own liver. Closing: Bar Crenn isn't about big portions or spectacle. It's about intention, atmosphere, and a rare level of refinement that still feels welcoming. If you're looking for a special night that feels transportive from the moment you sit down, this is absolutely worth the reservation. 5 stars.

Space is beautiful, low lights, wood paneling, velvet seats, a very relaxing but elegant design. Drinks: Mizuwari - good, this is prebatched and carbonated upon service, nice light fruity flavors with a light sparkling effervescence, whisky definitely more in the background, didn't pick up much floral in this one either but enjoyed it Arlequin - good, nice creamy foamy texture from the egg white, nice acidity, with subtle berry notes, and a whisper of scotch in the finish, a very unique take on a whisky sour Baxter - boozy and on the sweeter side, with a strong cognac flavor in the finish, fruity upfront, a slow sipper Food: Nori Rolls: great, loved the fresh Dungeness crab within the crispy nori shell almost like a wafer texture with just a little bit of rice to hold it together, grab was sweet with a subtle saltiness, chives added a burst of light delicate onion flavor, came with two small pieces per order Scallop Tacos: good, thin slices of raw scallops topped with mildly spiced xo sauce, on a very crispy chip like textured shell, the citrus added a burst of freshness, good but was expecting more of a traditional taco with a tortilla, this was a canape sized bite Pretzel Bread with Mornay sauce - pretzel i believe was a buckwheat base so a bit more dense than i was expecting, nice salty crust, mornay sauce was very tart and acidic with a thin runny texture, mustard forward as well, had higher hopes for this wouldn't recommend if you are expecting a classic pretzel Lobster Roll - served in a brioche bun that was a bit dense and lacked the airiness I was expecting, lobster was also a tad tough and chewy, loaded with bearnaise which was creamy and rich with a subtle saltiness but overpowered by the hot sauce served ontop Paris Breast: highlight of the night, really light airy choux with a slight crisp exterior filled with a delicious lightly sweetened vanilla cream, passionfruit orange and guava in the curd and filling was also excellent and made for an exciting end to the meal. Service was solid fairly attentive, plates and serviceware and water refilled and refreshed throughout. Food was well paced. Drinks took a little time to order but understandable given there were only two bartenders for the evening. Overall Bar Crenn was a little disappointing, other than dessert nothing was particularly note worthy. Cocktails were good but not outstanding, small bites were pretty hit or miss with small portion sizes. Glad i got to try this spot but not likely to return.
