I had a very disappointing experience at Gracie's in Galveston. My younger sister accidentally…read morespilled a single drop of coffee on the floor. Instead of handling the situation with kindness or understanding, a staff member made us clean it up ourselves. My sister was wearing a dress, and they still insisted she pick it up. To make matters worse, they made my young sister walk outside to throw the trash away herself. Accidents happen, and this could have been handled with basic courtesy and professionalism. Instead, the managers and staff came across as rude, unwelcoming, and lacking any sense of customer service. We left feeling embarrassed and disrespected. Unfortunately, because of how we were treated, we will not be returning. There are plenty of places in Galveston that treat their customers with much more kindness and respect.

After reading through other reviews, it appears that similar experiences have happened to other customers as well, which is unfortunate. Customer service should be a priority, especially for loyal shoppers. We won't be returning, and I would encourage others to consider supporting the many other local businesses in Galveston that appreciate and value their customers.

I found the most perfect pieces for my house--things I've been waiting to find but didn't really know what I was looking for until I walked in. I somehow left with swim trunks and shorts for my husband, a sweater for me, flowers, art pieces, kitchen utensils, and, of course, something for the fur babies! The staff was wonderful too--friendly and helpful without being pushy or hovering while you shop, which I really appreciated. As for the pricing, it's reasonable for the brands they carry. I've seen the same pieces other places for either the same price or more. This will definitely be one of my new go-to shops whenever I'm looking for that unique piece for the house, a cute addition to my wardrobe, or a great gift. We all loved the vast selection of beads - there are so many different colors, types, and cute Halloween themed offerings as well! Holly is very helpful in assisting you with picking out color themes or bead types that would go well together. We strung our beads and were all so happy with the results! They are priced either by the bead or by the string, so I went for a few of each and made a matching bracelet, necklace and earring set. I also got a couple Christmas themed earrings for fun! I would love to come back here. I collect Christmas ornaments from all of the places we visit and I was able to find a cute palm tree ornament for under $10. I also found one to give to my daughter for taking care of my dogs while I was gone. They have tons of beach themed ornaments as well as many other kinds. The front part of the store has some really nice collectibles that are not Christmas themed. The ladies at the front counter were very nice, and they packed up our ornaments so they would not get broken. This is a very cute place to spend some time, and the margaritas a few doors down from them aren't bad either!
