What a great quilting store! There is so much fabric inside and the sweet ladies that work here are…read moreso helpful and kind! They both were very knowledgeable and helped to interpret a pattern that I was sent via email. I bought some really colorful, cute fabric for a scrub cap project that I'm working on. It also called for grosgrain ribbon which they don't sell (it is a quilt shop, after all). I asked where I might be able to find some and they suggested Hobby Lobby and even gave me directions on how to get there! I'm only in the area for a couple of weeks but if I lived here and seriously wanted to take up quilting, this would be my go-to shop! Local quilters and crafters, please support this terrific fabric shop! It's a gem!

This business also is an authorized Uhaul dealer since 2013. We hired them to move our belongings…read more I guess this family does this for extra money. Well, they ruined some furniture of ours. I called and left messages with their son to call me back after Mrs. Richards did not call me the previous day like she said she would. Finally, they got it together and returned my call. When I tried speaking with them about it over the phone, Chuck and Mary Richards, the owners, yelled at me, called me a liar, blammed everything on me and basically did a 180 from what Chuck Richards told me the day before. He told me they would replace the item. This was Monday last week. Mary Richards (who was not present during the move at all) said she would be back in touch with me after a few days to do some research. We have not received a phone call back. Chuck Richards did not even show me the damage until right before it was time to leave. I guess so they could get the most money out of as possible. This is when he offered to replace the item. I was never expecting anything new, but at least some money to help towards replacement. They said that the item fell over during transit, which my husband and I feel is complete dishonesty on their part due to the amount of damage done (scratches, indentations, a hole in the piece with missing wood, parts and track pieces). We believe the item was dropped and that was their sad attempt at a cover up. Any reputable mover would have tied down and placed this piece towards the back of the truck bed since it was a heavier piece. This was not done. They placed it near the sliding door sideways propped up with a dolly?? I would not recommend doing business at all with these people as they are dishonest and at this point fraudulent thieves. We have a claim in with Uhaul and will be getting our money back. I hope these people go out of business just simply due to how they treat people and conduct business.

So far, so good. I went during the soft opening which was before the store's official grand…read moreopening. Customer service was good and the store was clean and very spacious. I was able to find a few products that I have not found at other five below locations. However, I was surprised to find that some things I was expecting to find were already sold out, which was disappointing. Overall, I'm glad to see a Five Below in Texas City.

Her latest creation was one made with 10 years of t-shirts from Ima's Home (www.imashome.com). The quilt was presented to the founder of Ima's Home, James Kilgore II. The backing of colorful hearts was an absolute perfect backing to go with the many children's hearts that are being mended. Thank you, Milissa, for another job well done. We could not be happier.

When I identified my dog as a service dog (and she was wearing a red vest that said, "service dog" on the vest) she very aggressively said "nope, not welcome"!
