We normally just grab what they have at Kroger..we just didn't want to drive all the way over so we popped in to Island Flowers and were so happy we did. Our favorite are the Star Gazer Lillie's. Connie the owner showed us what she had and we were amazed at the size of them! We often purchase nice ones at one of the floral shops in Houston off Fannin but these blew away any that we have ever gotten and best of all they were inexpensive! In fact we were so impressed that my wife has gone back to Connie and hired her to do all the flowers for a large wedding we are doing in May. Instead of handling the situation with kindness or understanding, a staff member made us clean it up ourselves. My sister was wearing a dress, and they still insisted she pick it up. To make matters worse, they made my young sister walk outside to throw the trash away herself. Accidents happen, and this could have been handled with basic courtesy and professionalism. Instead, the managers and staff came across as rude, unwelcoming, and lacking any sense of customer service. We left feeling embarrassed and disrespected. Unfortunately, because of how we were treated, we will not be returning. There are plenty of places in Galveston that treat their customers with much more kindness and respect.

Even though I was short on time, the team member did a beautiful job helping me and sharing recommendations for beginner witches. I knew I wanted to start a crystal collection, choose a pendulum, and pick up a few spiritual items. Normally, I like to research books before committing, but I purchased a couple on impulse. my only disappointment was learning afterward that BOOKS are FINAL SALE. I had been under the impression that unopened, non-creased books could be exchanged (not returned) within 10 days. There is a sign displayed, but the wording could be clearer. Had I understood that all books were FINAL SALE, I definitely would have compared prices before purchasing, made a different selection, and purchased only one book. I admire how they place bookmarks inside the books of purchase. The bookmarks double as their business cards, such a smart way to consolidate promotion & usefulness. I adore that unique feature. That said, the friendly service was amazing energy made for a wonderful experience. Witchery has definitely earned a spot on my must-visit list whenever I'm on the island.

When my husband contacted Bennett Floral, the first person said they'll send someone over to stick two lilies in there. Then a Manager told my husband, they follow a "recipe" and that is what they sent. My husband explained to the Manager what we received looks nothing like the picture. The Manager said the best they can do is send someone back to pick up the flowers and issue a refund and she was not very nice at all. My husband ordered and paid for a premium floral arrangement and tipped 15% and was treated rudely. The teleflora "recipe" says 18" wide by 19" high. "One" rose hits the 19" but the arrangement as you can see from the tape measure was just 13.5" wide at best. According to the "recipe" and the description there is a lot missing from the arrangement received. The "undelivery" person showed up 15 minutes later to pick up & take my wrong Anniversary flowers. Very disappointed in Bennett Floral. We do our best to support local business, but this is unacceptable. I expect better service than this.
