The teachers were so great about sending us updates in the first couple weeks during the difficult transition from family daycare to this one. Our son has been SO HAPPY ever since. He's made so many friends, loves telling us about his day, and the staff are so great about helping with potty training. Believe me, our son was a doozy for them, so TRUST that they'll work with you on it. The kids get a lot of outdoor time to break apart the time they spend indoors. Their playground is awesome, with so many different interesting areas for the kids to explore and play. I've realized its actually hard to find another place that allows so much outdoor time for the kids, and ours definitely loves having the space to run his "yaya's" out. The teachers are very in tune with the kids, and get to know them genuinely. The kids are loved here, and on top of the joy that they experience... the learning they gain even at young ages is amazing! My only heads up is that you won't receive a lot of updates on your kid throughout the day on the app, but honestly he was so happy every day at drop-off and pickup, we decided it was better the teachers were focused on the kids rather than the app and taking enough photos of the kids all day long.

It was a bit of a rough transition for him. Riyesha and Chandra did an awesome job helping him transition. They first few days I stayed for a little while with him and slowly started leaving sooner and sooner. There were some tears from both him and myself but they really helped make the transition as smooth as possible. They sent me pictures all the time and gave me updates. Within 2 weeks he was running in the front door when he got there. My 6 month old is now attending as well. He had a hard time transitioning as well but again they sent pictures and communicated with me constantly so that we could do whatever we could to make the transition smooth. I appreciate them very much. My 3 year old has grown so much since starting! His vocabulary exploded, he counts to 20 and knows his ABC's and he loves playing with other kids and is so polite. MOS daycare is huge part of his awesome development. They always have fun parties on holidays, communicate with us if they are ill and need to come home, do fun projects and sing songs daily and have also switched days that they are open if they see most parents have a need around certain holidays. My kids are always in a clean, dry diaper when I pick them up as well. We are very happy with their care.

From the moment I first spoke to Riyesha, I could tell she was patient, kind, and genuinely caring for the people in her life. I immediately felt at ease with her experience and unblemished licensing record. Handing over a premature baby at 8 weeks adjusted was so hard, and she made sure to check in frequently about how I wanted to approach things and making sure that both my son and I were comfortable with the care she provided. Riyesha and her mother truly love the children who attend Miles of Smiles like they are their own kids. Along the way, I really felt like we were part of their family as we got to meet and get to know their children. We ultimately decided to move out of California, and informing Riyesha was one of the conversations I dreaded most because she had seen us through some of the hardest parts of my son's first 18 months. I cannot recommend this daycare enough and still keep in touch with Riyesha as a result of the relationship we formed. They are the absolute best!

Montessori House of Children has been an incredibly positive and meaningful experience for my son…read moreand our family. The owners and staff have dedicated many years to this school, making a lasting difference in the lives of children across generations, and it truly shows in everything they do. My son gained so much from an early age--learning how to color, hold a pencil correctly, write his name, and even begin addition and subtraction. The summer camps are excellent, the dance classes are fun and engaging, and the holiday celebrations beautifully reflect diversity and respect for all cultures. The environment is warm, welcoming, and inclusive, which made us feel comfortable from the very beginning. While we are sad to be leaving Montessori, we are also very proud that our son is ready for his next step. We are grateful for everything this school has given him and highly recommend House of Children to other families

Before I give a glowing and deeply heartfelt review of the experience our family has had at…read moreMontessori House of Children with both of our boys, I want to share a broader thought, because context matters, especially when parents are making one of the most important decisions of their lives. I think it is fundamentally unfair when a school receives a one-star review based purely on a parent's expectation of what they think an accredited Montessori environment should be, particularly when that opinion comes from a misunderstanding, limited exposure, or without ever actually attending or engaging with the school. Montessori education is nuanced, intentional, and often misunderstood when viewed through a traditional lens. What troubles me most is how quickly some people run to leave damaging reviews without first asking questions, seeking clarity, or having a conversation with the school. Educators and administrators put their entire lives into the well-being of these children and the integrity of their program. Parents rely on real, lived experiences when deciding to place their children in someone else's care, and highly subjective or reactionary reviews do not serve that trust or decision-making process. I truly believe that if something feels off, the first step should be to pause, gather information, and talk with the school. If, after genuine effort and understanding, you still feel strongly, then by all means leave a review. But perspective matters. And if you take a moment to look at some of the most extreme one-star profiles, you will often notice a pattern. Volatility, absolutes, and very little middle ground. Life, and education, rarely works that way. Now onto what actually matters. Our older son graduated from Montessori House of Children and is now thriving in first grade. Our younger son is about to graduate this year. Over the years, we have watched both boys grow not just academically, but emotionally, socially, and independently. This school helped shape who they are as learners and as people. The teachers are patient, intentional, and deeply invested. The environment fosters confidence, curiosity, responsibility, and respect. These are core Montessori principles that are clearly lived, not just advertised. Our children felt safe, seen, challenged, and supported. We will always be grateful for the foundation Montessori House of Children gave our family. It is not just a school. It is a community that genuinely cares about children and their development. I recommend it without hesitation to parents seeking a thoughtful, authentic Montessori experience.

The teachers and the owner immediately insured me that they would give my child Love and care, which was my primary concern in general. Since attending this school, my two-year-old has demonstrated more understanding, increased vocabulary, excellent manners, and patience. All of these things are taught daily there. I'm very thankful we found this school and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a safe and educational environment. Looks can be deceiving, and this is not the newest most glamorous school, but it is everything and more you could want in a school. Very hard-working teachers that teach excellent manners, patience, and love.
