I should have written this review sooner but it has been hard to find the right words to express how great this school is and how grateful we are for them. Our family has had two kids attend from age 2 and both have loved it. Zara the owner, every one of the teachers, and the parent community are all wonderful. Our kids have learned, grown and been really loved. The school does an amazing job of balancing education, play, and emotional development. I cannot recommend this preschool enough. read more

I cannot tell you how wonderful this preschool has been for our family. Our daughter got an incredible education and made wonderful friends along the way. The staff and parents were incredibly supportive. It prepared her enormously for TK -- emotionally, socially and academically! Thank you Zara and teachers at Next Gen! read more

We have loved this school. Our son began at age 2 and just graduated. The teachers genuinely care about the children and are happy to see them. The director, Zara, is amazing- caring, communicative and prompt to respond with any questions or challenges that arise. The classroom sizes are small, the lunch that is served is healthy and unprocessed. We feel that our son's quirky, unique spirit has been honored and he is thriving, thanks to this school. We are sad to move on!..... but, we also feel he is well prepared for the next steps and this school has made him excited to learn and do new things. Highly recommend. read more

Both of our sons attended NextGen's Preschool and TK programs, and we couldn't be more grateful. The curriculum is thoughtful and intentional--blending hands-on science experiments, early math, early literacy with letter and sound recognition, music, and story time. Their curriculum builds confidence, curiosity, and joy, and our boys came home excited to share what they learned. NextGen sparked in both of them a deep love for learning, creating, and exploring. They learned how to express and advocate for themselves, respect others' space, and understand that everything--from routines to rules--has a purpose. We also truly appreciated the warm family community we've gotten to know over the years--many, like us, returning to enroll younger siblings. NextGen set a strong foundation for our kids to be successful in their next chapter--we see this in our eldest son who is still thriving as a second grader. Thank you, Zara and the amazing team, for creating such a beautiful and inspiring place. read more

We LOVE Next Generation Montessori. Our daughter was born in the height of Covid and stayed home with us and a nanny until she turned 2. So, we weren't sure how she'd adjust to preschool. Luckily, we found Next Gen - an absolute gem! They have an incredibly thoughtful approach to transitions and made her first school experience wonderful. We've been so grateful for the way they have cared for our daughter and all of the children like they are family. It is an authentic, loving, and nurturing environment. In her 2 years at Next Gen, she has grown socially, emotionally, and academically. Every day, she comes home excited to tell us about something new she's learned. We also love how flexible they are, working with families to make the school experience as great for the parents as it is for the kids. We are so grateful for the time we've had with Next Gen and will miss it dearly when it's time to move on. read more

As a teacher at Next Generation Montessori, I can truly say this school is something special. I feel incredibly lucky to work under a director who genuinely cares--not just about the students, but also about the staff and every family that walks through our doors. Her support and leadership create such a positive and welcoming environment. The curriculum here is very hands-on, which really engages the children and helps them develop confidence and independence. It's amazing to watch their curiosity grow as they explore and learn through meaningful activities every day. One of the things I love most is the strong sense of community. We build real relationships with our families, and it's so rewarding to be part of that connection and trust. It makes coming to work each day feel like being part of a big extended family. If you're looking for a preschool where your child will be cared for, encouraged, and truly seen, Next Generation Montessori is a wonderful place to be. read more

Next Gen was the perfect school for my son. He attended there for 3 years. We started very early Pandemic when he was 3 and this school really helped form him into the amazing young boy he is today. Zara was so welcoming and loving and he loved every part of it. I wanted him to be in a more play-based environment since the pandemic really threw me off on how to raise a social and kind child. And he opened up so much once he started school. It was beautiful to see. Ms. Rose really changed my son academically too. He stayed there for TK and took part in the tutoring program. He went from not being able to write a single word to forming sentences! And he LOVED the extra time he got upstairs to learn more. He has a real joy for learning now. We started Kinder this year and his teacher has told us he's the top reader in his class and a super quick learner. I don't doubt that Next Gen was part of that. We miss it! read more

Both of my kids attended NextGen and we love it! The moment you leave your kids at a place for the first time is terrifying... Luckily Zara and all of the teachers at NextGen really made it the best experience possible. It didn't take long for my kids to adjust and happily run to the door in the morning. My oldest just started at the public school and was fully prepared for the entire dropoff process because of all the work we all put in during her time at NextGen. I was worried how my youngest (who still goes to NextGen) would react when his older sister started her next school, but he still runs to the door even without his sister walking in with him. The teachers and staff are so experienced and it really feels like I'm leaving him with family. Highly recommend! read more

Honestly we could not have asked for a better experience for both of our kids! Not only has the school created a welcoming environment but the community of parents has been equally amazing. The school is personable to your child's needs and we have found that even between our two children they have excelled in their own needed ways. The teachers expose the children to all sorts of fun learning projects ranging from art, music, science and even cooking. Each week is wrapped around a theme that typically coincides with the season and is age appropriate. We are always floored by the pictures and projects our kids come home with. Aside from the fun learning environment, our kids genuinely LOVE going to school and have made close connections with the teachers and other students. Only con that we have found is they stop instruction at TK... we wish they did Kindergarten onward! read more

What a special place this is! For context, my son had a speech delay and a very serious attachment to me, so we were looking for an environment where he could regularly interact with other caretakers and children to kick start his social emotional development along these dimensions. We live far from family and a support system, and there's only so much direct instruction we can provide, so a change in scenery for him was much desired. As his Mom and full-time caretaker, it was so hard to leave him with anyone else for a day, but enrolling him at Next Gen was one of the best decisions we could have made for him at that stage. From the first day, they made us feel so comfortable with the transition and like they would love and protect him. He adjusted quicker than I expected... one day he just started walking in and barely looked back lol. Let me tell you- my son has FLOURISHED since starting here. His speech exploded (I knew this would happen with time, but the acceleration was remarkable), his affect improved, his sociability increased, and he is picking up so many skills of all kinds that I can't keep up. I'm just so used to the very capable, secure, and confident child he is now, that I often forget about his starting point. When I think about the strides he has made, and the vital role Next Gen has played in this, I am overwhelmed with gratitude. More specifics about the school experience would be the following: * They are clearly academically minded but not unrealistic about learning goals and related activities. * Activities are fun and age appropriate (they send out "lesson plans" each week). * They seem to prioritize fun, music, play, creativity, etc. * Zara and Rose are the best and have crafted a great program. * There is weekly Spanish enrichment. * The teachers are loving and wonderful women who work so very hard. * The school itself is well equipped and cared for. It's a precious campus. * They do a good job of fostering collaboration and connection between the kids, and I know my child has lifelong buddies from school. I could go on and on about the school and how good it's been for my precious boy, not to mention the community of parents is awesome and we've made lots of friends... but the point is this: If you're looking for a preschool for your little one(s), go tour Next Gen and ask lots of questions! They have answers. As a former teacher, I was impressed with how rooted in and informed on the Montessori philosophy they were. Thank you Next Gen! We'll definitely be sending our other baby here when the time comes. read more

My little lady has had a great time at Next Gen! She has almost been here for two years and has made some great friends that she loves to hang out with in and outside of school. The staff has been wonderful and patient with my daughter and I'm extremely grateful. Graduating from the school will be an emotional time for all of us. read more

I would recommend any parents to bring there children to next gen school. The teachers are amazing here.

This was my daughter's first school ever! She LOVED it and from the beginning, the teachers made her feel welcomed! Of course at the beginning it was a bit tough for her, since she had to start learning how to be away from us, but she got very comfortable, very soon at this school and the teachers really cared about her! Whenever we told the school she was sick and not attending for the day, they would always check-in to see how she was doing. My daughter speaks only Spanish at home and they have some teachers that speak Spanish at the school, so that helped her a lot in her transition. We also loved that they were very flexible at the beginning with her only staying for a short time, and starting to increase the time as she got more comfortable going to the school. Thanks to all the teachers at the school and special mention to Miss Zara, Miss Rose and Miss Jo! My daughter is no longer attending because we had to move out of state, but we do miss this school every day! Thank You All! We miss you a lot! read more

I'm so glad I found this school for my kids. They come home each time excited to share all the things they did with their friends. The staff is very organized and transparent, but my favorite is all the outdoor activities they do which includes a sand pit!!! Highly recommend. read more

We are so thankful for Next Gen. After things started calming down, and stay home orders were lifted, my husband and I had to go back to the office after months of staying home. We were worried and nervous that we wouldn't find a school that was safe and would be a good fit for our daughter, but we found Next Gen and thankfully they had an opening. Not only did the teachers foster a safe and loving environment, they helped our daughter thrive with skills that she will be able to use her entire life. Next Gen helps little ones be better students, but more importantly, better people. We will forever be thankful for the impact this amazing school has on our family. read more

We've been looking for a day care/preschool for our kids for a while and after visiting a few locations, we came to this school. We made an appointment with Mrs. Zara. She gave me and my wife a tour. She was very polite, respectful and knowledgeable. The place was newly remodeled, clean, and full of stuff that will keep a child from 2-5 years of age busy with activities such as painting, playing in a sandbox, playing in playhouse, water playing, etc. We loved the vividness and liveliness of the place. Decided to have our children 2 and 4 attend. After 2 weeks, we noticed the children loved the school and especially the teacher Mrs. Zara. With the help of her teaching skills, kids learn a lot and develop learning skills. It is in the heart of Glendale and a safe location. I would highly recommend this institution. read more

Our daughter has been going to Next Gen the last three years, and we are so grateful for the kindness, care, and education that all the teachers have provided. We have seen so much growth and confidence over the years with our daughter attending Next Gen, and will definitely miss seeing the Next Gen staff on the daily. Our daughter leaves happy at the end of the school day, and looks forward to coming in the next day. The school is modern, clean, and provides a safe atmosphere for their students. Mrs. Zara is very responsive and has a great line of communication to all the parents regarding the school updates and activities. read more

I don't even know where to start, that's how amazing this school and all the teachers are. This school is by far the best preschool I have seen in the area. The structure of the school is very modern, clean and open. You will not see cluttered toys and books in this place. Everything is so well organized. The teachers are amazing human beings. They understand your kid's needs and they are very kind and gentle towards them. They teach art, math, science, history and sooo many other great life skills. We started taking our son to Next Generation when he was only 2 years old. We could not be happier about our decision. He always went to school with such joy and excitement. He has learned so much from this place in his years here. Now that he goes to elementary school, I can see the impact that this school had on my kid. I'm forever grateful for them. This was a lifetime investment for me and my kid and I highly recommend this place to the parents. read more

I cannot say enough absolutely wonderful things about this school. The teachers are so warm and nurturing; they truly care about each and every child and family and go above and beyond in so many ways. My daughter had a tough time transitioning to school at the beginning and the teachers (especially Miss Zara) were so amazing at helping all of us through that tough period. My daughter now loves going to school - I can hardly get a hug in before she's run through the front door. She plays and learns and has made so many friends. The school is also so lovely, cozy, well organized and clean. The families that attend are also so friendly and there is a great diversity, which I love. There is a relaxed feel to the community that I really value. Honestly, every parent wants the best for their child - you literally need not look any further than NextGen. Thank you to all the teachers for being such a positive addition to all of our lives. Not sure we could have gotten through this last crazy year with out you all. read more

Life Changing, Astounding Humans The staff of Next Gen transformed how we thought about education and has proved to be one of the great blessings of our daughter's early life. To us they are so much more than educators, they are family. This isn't hyperbole. They're true heroes, and we celebrate them every chance we get. Our daughter talks about them like aunties and role models and she's right to. We'd be lucky if she grew up to be as kind and smart and giving as any of them. As the parents of a child born March 2020, we've faced a lot of challenges and had a lot of worries about how our daughter would adapt to socializing and schooling particularly. We spent so much of her early life inside and isolated. We were so intimidated by the soul-crushing process the pre-school industrial complex has become, but we were lucky to come across Next Gen in our research and had the easiest interview and tour. The process was inviting and we just trusted Ms. Zara from the moment we first met. We decided to jump in and it has been the best decision we ever made for our daughter. The facilities are so warm and inviting. Modern, clean and beautiful. It feels like a place that truly adores children--everything is geared toward them in a homey way that just feels safe. This place is truly all about the kids. Everything they do. Every detail feels like it's weighted to give children the best chance they need to succeed. Our daughter started thriving from day one. They talked us through so many milestones. They never seemed impatient or checked out. They are always happy to give us the run down on her day. And they root for the kids. That's what gets us choked up, just knowing that you have all these amazing people rooting for your kid to thrive and holding them up and wiping off their skinned knees and helping them when they're scared or need some boundaries or motivation or room to be silly. The staff at Next Gen has helped our daughter become the truest version of herself and has set the foundation of learning and friendship that will mold her for the rest of her life. We consider this place our daughter's special sanctuary and have formed lasting bonds with the teachers and parents there. A hidden gem in an industry fraught with self-serving, status seeking nonsense. These are real people, with real hearts, years of experience, expertise, and a special gift with children. In a nutshell, the best place ever. We feel blessed to be a part of this small, powerful community. Thank you Ms. Zara and Ms. Rose and ALL of the wonderful teachers for changing our lives. read more

Our experience at NextGen Montessori has been a great one. We enrolled our daughter Ema in September 2023 after arriving to Glendale from Mexico. Mrs. Rose and Mrs. Zara were super accommodating with all of our needs and the rest of the teachers --Mrs. Anahid and Mrs. Carla, among others-- have been super loving and generous with our daughter, helping her transition from one country to another as smoothly as possible. At NextGen our daughter has made lots of friends and developed various skills that make her an independent, strong, and joyful child. It's been really a pleasure (and relief) that our daughter has attended a school where she's surrounded by great, loving teachers and kids from several parts of the world. We can only hope that she continues learning, developing, and making her first friendships in an environment as beautiful and creative as this one! read more

This review has been long overdue. My son is about to start 1st grade and he still remembers what he calls "MY Montessori school". This review is much overdue as my daughter has been attending Next Gen preschool for about 6 months now. My husband and I have seen a lot of growth in our daughters social and emotional, speech and cognitive development. Our daughter was fairly shy and nervous when she started the school, and we are very lucky that she is now a lot more independent and able to interact with new people and peers comfortably. She speaks about her friends at the school and remembers her teachers even on weekends :) The staff are friendly and attentive. The director is knowledgeable and has open communication with the progress of our daughter and what's happening with the school. Monthly newsletters are emailed along with daily activity board that showcases the daily activities and the plan looking ahead. We are very pleased with the school and have referred our friends who live in the area. read more

As a mother I feel blessed and grateful that we found this school for our son. We had just recently moved from the Bay Area in the summer and Ms. Zara took a hands on approach with ensuring that that he transitioned well to his new environment. I can attest to this as my son loves going to school and it has not been easy for us lately to pick up him from school as he just loves playing with all his buddies. He is so happy there and I am watching him learn so much already and he's not even 3 yet! The school definitely does a fantastic job of fostering a love for learning. Moreover, Ms. Zara has been phenomenal with communication and has ensured that she is accessible to us anytime. Absolutely recommend this preschool if you are looking for one! read more

When people say, "I wonder where the end of the rainbow is; where the pot of gold may be." Well... your in luck... I found it!!! It's here at Next Generation Montessori School! Walking in, I felt so welcomed and so reassured that I truly felt confident and safe that my child would have been in great hands! The newly brought up child day care/school is so wonderfully colored and so organized with its learning/hands on teaching stations that it makes me want to join in on the fun. The staff is by far the best I have ever encountered through all the day care searches my husband and I have spent long hours looking for. We met with Mrs Zara. She was so kind enough to actually spend some quality time with my child and get to know my child's strengths, needs and most of all weakness, whom my husband and I had been worried for quite some time now. My child grew to loving her new teachers, especially Mrs Zara... and we were more than thrilled to learn that she was progressing every time we had taken her to this amazing blessed school! Overall... I want to thank the staff and everyone who helped our child to start loving school and being loved and accepted in every aspect. This school is truly our "POT OF GOLD." Yes, I definitely recommend bringing your children to this brand new daycare/school. Rating: A+ (5STARS) read more

Fantastic program! My son has been attending here at Next Gen since summer of 2022, and he has flourished at this school. He surprises me at home with new letters, words and numbers that he is learning. The school practices a holistic approach on the children, focusing on their social and emotional well being alongside their academic growth. It's lovely when he brings home art projects to see the creative ways he is learning. The teachers are very warm and supportive- you can sense this just by being in their presence. The school is always very neat and orderly, with the children's projects nicely placed around. We love Next Gen and are so grateful to have found this school. :-) read more

If there was an option for 10 stars, this school would definitely deserve it! Enrolling my son at Next Gen was the best decision I've ever made. The faculty and staff are very professional. They are loving, caring, nurturing people who you can entrust your child with. My son had a wonderful time learning new things and built life long friendships at this school... and so did I. Next Gen definitely prepared my son for "BIG" school and the best trait they instilled in him was his eagerness and love towards learning. Next Gen's curriculum and teaching approach is very unique in a very positive way that I wish all schools were like them.
