We have loved this school. Our son began at age 2 and just graduated. The teachers genuinely care about the children and are happy to see them. The director, Zara, is amazing- caring, communicative and prompt to respond with any questions or challenges that arise. The classroom sizes are small, the lunch that is served is healthy and unprocessed. We feel that our son's quirky, unique spirit has been honored and he is thriving, thanks to this school. Both of our sons attended NextGen's Preschool and TK programs, and we couldn't be more grateful. We LOVE Next Generation Montessori. Our daughter was born in the height of Covid and stayed home with us and a nanny until she turned 2. So, we weren't sure how she'd adjust to preschool. Luckily, we found Next Gen - an absolute gem! They have an incredibly thoughtful approach to transitions and made her first school experience wonderful. We've been so grateful for the way they have cared for our daughter and all of the children like they are family. It is an authentic, loving, and nurturing environment. Both of my kids attended NextGen and we love it! The moment you leave your kids at a place for the first time is terrifying... Luckily Zara and all of the teachers at NextGen really made it the best experience possible. It didn't take long for my kids to adjust and happily run to the door in the morning. My oldest just started at the public school and was fully prepared for the entire dropoff process because of all the work we all put in during her time at NextGen. I was worried how my youngest (who still goes to NextGen) would react when his older sister started her next school, but he still runs to the door even without his sister walking in with him. Next Gen was the perfect school for my son. He attended there for 3 years. We started very early Pandemic when he was 3 and this school really helped form him into the amazing young boy he is today. Zara was so welcoming and loving and he loved every part of it. I wanted him to be in a more play-based environment since the pandemic really threw me off on how to raise a social and kind child. And he opened up so much once he started school. It was beautiful to see. Ms. Rose really changed my son academically too. He stayed there for TK and took part in the tutoring program. He went from not being able to write a single word to forming sentences! And he LOVED the extra time he got upstairs to learn more. He has a real joy for learning now. We started Kinder this year and his teacher has told us he's the top reader in his class and a super quick learner. I don't doubt that Next Gen was part of that. We miss it! read more

Honestly we could not have asked for a better experience for both of our kids! Not only has the school created a welcoming environment but the community of parents has been equally amazing. The school is personable to your child's needs and we have found that even between our two children they have excelled in their own needed ways. The teachers expose the children to all sorts of fun learning projects ranging from art, music, science and even cooking. Each week is wrapped around a theme that typically coincides with the season and is age appropriate. We are always floored by the pictures and projects our kids come home with. Aside from the fun learning environment, our kids genuinely LOVE going to school and have made close connections with the teachers and other students. Only con that we have found is they stop instruction at TK... we wish they did Kindergarten onward! read more

What a special place this is! For context, my son had a speech delay and a very serious attachment to me, so we were looking for an environment where he could regularly interact with other caretakers and children to kick start his social emotional development along these dimensions. We live far from family and a support system, and there's only so much direct instruction we can provide, so a change in scenery for him was much desired. As his Mom and full-time caretaker, it was so hard to leave him with anyone else for a day, but enrolling him at Next Gen was one of the best decisions we could have made for him at that stage. From the first day, they made us feel so comfortable with the transition and like they would love and protect him. He adjusted quicker than I expected... one day he just started walking in and barely looked back lol. Let me tell you- my son has FLOURISHED since starting here. His speech exploded (I knew this would happen with time, but the acceleration was remarkable), his affect improved, his sociability increased, and he is picking up so many skills of all kinds that I can't keep up. I'm just so used to the very capable, secure, and confident child he is now, that I often forget about his starting point. When I think about the strides he has made, and the vital role Next Gen has played in this, I am overwhelmed with gratitude. More specifics about the school experience would be the following: * They are clearly academically minded but not unrealistic about learning goals and related activities. * Activities are fun and age appropriate (they send out "lesson plans" each week). * They seem to prioritize fun, music, play, creativity, etc. * Zara and Rose are the best and have crafted a great program. * There is weekly Spanish enrichment. * The teachers are loving and wonderful women who work so very hard. * The school itself is well equipped and cared for. It's a precious campus. * They do a good job of fostering collaboration and connection between the kids, and I know my child has lifelong buddies from school. I could go on and on about the school and how good it's been for my precious boy, not to mention the community of parents is awesome and we've made lots of friends... but the point is this: If you're looking for a preschool for your little one(s), go tour Next Gen and ask lots of questions! They have answers. As a former teacher, I was impressed with how rooted in and informed on the Montessori philosophy they were. Thank you Next Gen! This was my daughter's first school ever! She LOVED it and from the beginning, the teachers made her feel welcomed! Of course at the beginning it was a bit tough for her, since she had to start learning how to be away from us, but she got very comfortable, very soon at this school and the teachers really cared about her! Whenever we told the school she was sick and not attending for the day, they would always check-in to see how she was doing. My daughter speaks only Spanish at home and they have some teachers that speak Spanish at the school, so that helped her a lot in her transition. We also loved that they were very flexible at the beginning with her only staying for a short time, and starting to increase the time as she got more comfortable going to the school. Thanks to all the teachers at the school and special mention to Miss Zara, Miss Rose and Miss Jo! We are so thankful for Next Gen. After things started calming down, and stay home orders were lifted, my husband and I had to go back to the office after months of staying home. We've been looking for a day care/preschool for our kids for a while and after visiting a few locations, we came to this school. We made an appointment with Mrs. Zara. She gave me and my wife a tour. She was very polite, respectful and knowledgeable. The place was newly remodeled, clean, and full of stuff that will keep a child from 2-5 years of age busy with activities such as painting, playing in a sandbox, playing in playhouse, water playing, etc. We loved the vividness and liveliness of the place. Decided to have our children 2 and 4 attend. After 2 weeks, we noticed the children loved the school and especially the teacher Mrs. Zara. I cannot say enough absolutely wonderful things about this school. The teachers are so warm and nurturing; they truly care about each and every child and family and go above and beyond in so many ways. My daughter had a tough time transitioning to school at the beginning and the teachers (especially Miss Zara) were so amazing at helping all of us through that tough period. Life Changing, Astounding Humans The staff of Next Gen transformed how we thought about education and has proved to be one of the great blessings of our daughter's early life. To us they are so much more than educators, they are family. This isn't hyperbole. They're true heroes, and we celebrate them every chance we get. Our daughter talks about them like aunties and role models and she's right to. We'd be lucky if she grew up to be as kind and smart and giving as any of them. As the parents of a child born March 2020, we've faced a lot of challenges and had a lot of worries about how our daughter would adapt to socializing and schooling particularly. We spent so much of her early life inside and isolated. We were so intimidated by the soul-crushing process the pre-school industrial complex has become, but we were lucky to come across Next Gen in our research and had the easiest interview and tour. The process was inviting and we just trusted Ms. Zara from the moment we first met. We decided to jump in and it has been the best decision we ever made for our daughter. The facilities are so warm and inviting. Modern, clean and beautiful. It feels like a place that truly adores children--everything is geared toward them in a homey way that just feels safe. This place is truly all about the kids. Everything they do. Every detail feels like it's weighted to give children the best chance they need to succeed. Our daughter started thriving from day one. They talked us through so many milestones. They never seemed impatient or checked out. They are always happy to give us the run down on her day. And they root for the kids. That's what gets us choked up, just knowing that you have all these amazing people rooting for your kid to thrive and holding them up and wiping off their skinned knees and helping them when they're scared or need some boundaries or motivation or room to be silly. Our experience at NextGen Montessori has been a great one. We enrolled our daughter Ema in September 2023 after arriving to Glendale from Mexico. Mrs. Rose and Mrs. Zara were super accommodating with all of our needs and the rest of the teachers --Mrs. Anahid and Mrs. Carla, among others-- have been super loving and generous with our daughter, helping her transition from one country to another as smoothly as possible. At NextGen our daughter has made lots of friends and developed various skills that make her an independent, strong, and joyful child. As a mother I feel blessed and grateful that we found this school for our son. This review is much overdue as my daughter has been attending Next Gen preschool for about 6 months now. My husband and I have seen a lot of growth in our daughters social and emotional, speech and cognitive development. Our daughter was fairly shy and nervous when she started the school, and we are very lucky that she is now a lot more independent and able to interact with new people and peers comfortably. She speaks about her friends at the school and remembers her teachers even on weekends :) The staff are friendly and attentive. Fantastic program! My son has been attending here at Next Gen since summer of 2022, and he has flourished at this school. He surprises me at home with new letters, words and numbers that he is learning. The school practices a holistic approach on the children, focusing on their social and emotional well being alongside their academic growth. It's lovely when he brings home art projects to see the creative ways he is learning. The teachers are very warm and supportive- you can sense this just by being in their presence. We were so lucky to find this preschool. Great hours, space, teachers and location. Zara is so nurturing and really caring about the kids and parents needs and always makes herself available to talk if and when there are any concerns. The space is gorgeous! Big, bright rooms, huge spacious back play yard. They are always doing fun, creative activities with the kids. I like how secure the space is as well. My daughter has been coming here for the last 6 months and I was super hesitant about starting school again post covid. They did an amazing job checking temperatures and having the kids wear masks. Every single teacher is so sweet and my daughter is always begging to go to school.
