    I took my dog Mandu for washing and grooming last Saturday. The owner is very friendly and nice. The Groomer, Nicole was very good and friendly as well. They very detailed and they did very thoroughly with my dog, Mandu. I will be coming back for the next around. Thank you for being awesome.

    Joyce is a sweet person, but what could've improved was Following what the client requested with Dog Grooming. We took our golden retriever for a one and a half inch cut all around and he was returned to us shaved all the way around. When I confronted Joyce and said that's not what we requested, she said that it was necessary. Not happy with the service.

    I had always had short haired cats prior to adopting Cosmo, my one year old long haired tabby cat. He isn't the best at grooming himself and he was starting to get little mats in hard to reach places on his belly. I took him in this morning at 9:30 and he was ready to go by 11:30. His mats are gone and he smells so clean. They trimmed his nails, too. He wasn't happy going there but he seems so happy now that his mats are gone and his fur is trimmed up and clean! He smells so good, too! I love that this business keeps track of their client info on little index cards, very old school! Their new location on San Fernando is so nice, and it was decorated so cute for the holidays! We will definitely be back!

    I have taken three generations of dogs to joyces for the last 40 years I would not use another groomer to touch any of my animals. The few times, I have not been able to take my dog to Joyce's. I've done it myself rather than have anybody else. Groom him. when you love your animal, you want him to be treated with kindness, love a good surroundings, and to be properly, cleaned and cut to show how beautiful he really is. Thank you Joyce for all these years. I really appreciate it.

    They were all so kind to my elderly dog. Petco dropped her when I needed them most but thankfully we found Joyce's.

Every time I dropped her off somewhere new, I had this uneasy feeling. Bella would come back stressed and not like herself, and after a few bad experiences (including her getting injured), I just couldn't keep putting her through that. So I went back to Lucky's Dog grooming, her original groomer and I'm so glad I did. The owner genuinely cares about the dogs, and you can feel it. Bella is calm, happy, and treated with so much patience every time. I've seen some comments about small cuts, and while of course no one wants that, sometimes it can happen depending on the dog's skin. Personally, I'd take that over my dog coming back anxious or hurt any day. I'm really grateful for them. Thank you for always taking such good care of Bella and treating her like a princess

But my dog like many, is very scared of the groomers. She starts shaking from the moment we park. She's like this with any groomer and also the vet. I don't think it's a very unique situation. However today they had my dog there for about 3.5 hours for her grooming. Now I can understand if the bath and haircut take a while. But today I dropped her off in the morning and later I had an another appointment I needed to get to. (Which I ended up rescheduling because of this, but it's not the end of the world) I had asked ahead of time for a guesstimate on how long it would take so I could plan my day. They said around 2 to 2.5 hours. I know it's only an estimate and no guarantee. So I left. And then decided to stop in after 3 hours cause my other appointment was soon and I figured they had to be close. Even if I had to wait for another 10-15 min while they finish up. When I got there, they were only halfway through her haircut. I could see her in the back on the table. Her body was mostly shaved but just like a first pass and her head was still untouched. So I left and waited for their call as I live nearby. But my issue isn't a long haircut. My issue is that my dog was sitting, terrified in a cage/pen/crate for hours before she was even started on. I had made an appointment. What is the point of making an appointment if she's going to be waiting so long? If you can't handle more than one dog at a time Just tell me to come at another time. I understand there will be a little bit of waiting. But I'd like her to be there for only as long as needed cause it's very stressful. My dog is close to 11 years old. When I finally got the call and picked her up. I asked them why it took so long. They told me they had an older dog that needed to be done first. Again, if they didn't have time to do her grooming at that point, then why accept the appointment? This now makes me wonder how many times they have made her sit and wait for hours before starting. I will likely shop around for somewhere new because of this.

When a last-minute work trip came up, I frantically searched for a facility to board her, as we weren't totally happy with the 2 other facilities we previously tried. From our first communication with Puppy Island, we knew Sage would be in great hands. I took her in for an assessment and couldn't believe how enthusiastic the staff was to meet her. She took to them immediately and had to be dragged back out to the car. The team sent us tons of photos and videos every day and made sure to double check our dog's feeding and medicine schedule. Extra special shoutout to JESS, who went above and beyond for us and for Sage. They are bonded for life. We will not hesitate to bring our dog back to Puppy Island. We are admittedly helicopter dog parents and are super picky when it comes to her! Their rates are super reasonable, but truly the service they provided was priceless to us.

At pick up, the manager gushed about how much they loved her & claimed she may have even gained weight. That was a lie. The moment I saw her, I knew something was wrong. She had lost 5lbs, was wheezing, visibly weak & totally withdrawn. At home, she curled into a ball, wouldn't eat or drink & had green/pink snot running from her nose. To make it worse (even though I paid for grooming) she was filthy. Her coat was crusted w/ buildup & flakes. It looked like she hadn't been touched. I contacted the staff again hours later to ask what happened. Their reply? Dismissive & full of excuses. By the next day, I had to rush her to the vet. She was diagnosed w/ severe pneumonia & hospitalized for 3.5 days. The medical team was alarmed by how sick she was... that vet bill? $3.5K+ the emotional toll? don't even get me started! This wasn't a simple miscommunication... it was gross negligence & a complete lack of accountability. Sharing before and after photos so you can see for yourself. The contrast is heartbreaking.
