Last minute and in a pickle of a situation, I turned to JoyBox and ordered online the fresh flowers for my good friend's birthday. Now don't get me wrong, I think ahead, but the flowers I ordered elsewhere left me super deflated. My friend took a pic of the initial flowers ordered elsewhere to thank me, but all I could think was "those are not what I ordered?" Long story short, Layla the owner of JoyBox company called me to ask if I would like to pick them up. She would have them ready literally the next day. For fresh beautiful flowers and in short notice, I said, "I'm in!" Delivery was not available due to the Hurricane making landfall and coronavirus setbacks. This review is based on my experience with the timing of their shipping department. I took advantage of the early bird special for Mother's Day. I placed the order 3 weeks out, there's a field for me to put in the requested delivery date, and I put the Friday before Mother's Day. Well, it arrived a week before Mother's Day. Both sender and recipient were highly disappointed by the timing, because it was out of no where, for no occasion. I got notification from UPS the day of that it's out for delivery and that was the only communication I received regarding shipment. I did not receive an email from Joy Box that my order was shipped out or anything (or I would have intercept the shipment). I contacted rep for help. I got an apology and that they want to avoid shipping delay that's why they send out early but offered no resolution... I'm from the same town as Joy Box Flowers, and in a bind not being able to pick it up myself that's why I spend $15 for shipping fee to have it delivered. The shipping dept def need to at least look at the label and organize the way they ship out orders better instead of just print and slap on box and send them out. I am no customer service expert but I believe a better response would be offering me to return and send another out on my preferred date. Needless to say, regardless of how beautiful the flowers can be, it did not bring joy to my recipient, and left a bad taste in my mouth in regard to the whole experience. read more
