I've had my fair share of dental challenges in the past, prior to living in SF and during my time in SF, and while I definitely don't enjoy getting inevitable dental work, I absolutely adore her and her team, and they make the experience so much better and these procedures much more tolerable. Most recently, I've been a pretty regular patient, since I got Invisalign and some cavities here and there (sad face), yet there's an aspect of me that looks forward to seeing the team there; they are so kind, caring, authentic and down-to-earth and it feels very comforting to go there. I appreciate Dr. Mitchell's bedside manner - she gives it to your straight with an action plan and it feels like she cares and has your best interest in mind. Also, worth noting that all of the dental assistants that have helped me have been amazing too. It's also worth sharing that a few years ago, I had a severe tooth ache that came out of nowhere...so excruciating that I could barely talk. I called the office, Dr. Mitchell and team saw me immediately that day and recommended the best endodontist (Dr. Alex Hanley, you're welcome readers ;) ) for an emergency root canal. Even under very painful and stressful circumstances, I honestly think it was the best experience I could have had, from the ASAP appointment, to the seamless transition to the endodontist including scheduling and to the aftercare. I'm so grateful to Dr. Mitchell and the team has taken phenomenal care of me over all these years. I look forward to continue being their forever-patient, even though I aspire to not be too much of a frequent regular ;).

After a quick exam, Dr. Summerfelt explained the various options and suggested that a filling was going to be enough and we could always do a crown later if needed. I first went to Rebecca to have some crown replacements and 2 veneers placed. Half way through completing my treatment plan I along with other pts were informed that she was no longer "in network" with Delta Dental and would expect full payment directly from pts. I immediately contacted her office manager who is also her husband.I have had many interactions with him.He comes off as arrogant,superior and is easily angered.I directly asked him how much more the charge would be without insurance.He was coy and evasive with his answers stating "just a little more"I should have pressed further for a clearer response. In fact,he sent me a bill which was double what she would charge with insurance,1600.00 instead of 800.00 at the time.They are now 2000.00 out of pocket.This showed a lack of transparency. Patients have a right to know exactly what their obligation will be and be able to make thoughtful choices There has been a pattern of this behavior with the manager.I recently pointed out another suspicious discrepancy in his communication.He responded with a hateful and retaliatory email.I let Rebecca know about this incident.She had no response or apology and no accountability. When a dentist takes an oath "To do no harm" I assume that applies to every employee in her practice as well. . Rebecca placed 2 veneers one of which came off.She spent around 15 minutes glueing it back on.She sent me a bill which I directly asked her about since it was placed by her originally.She became angry and defensive deflecting the fact that I was merely trying to clarify the charge that she goes.I ended up feeling unheard and intimidated by her anger. During pt appointments,Rebecca allows other staff to wander in the Rx room for non urgent issues while she at times is working with a drill.When I let her know it was unsettling and a distraction for me during my time,She simply said that is her way of doing business.Again she was unable to hear what I needed. If honesty,accountability,professionalism and open communication are also important then I would recommend going elsewhere.There is a plethora of dentists in San Francisco,many who accept insurance as partial payment.

Not only was I a patient of hers for years, but my whole family goes to her as well. I miraculously made it 30+ years before ever having a cavity, and when I was scheduled to have my first filling I kind of freaked out. Dr. Boardman was very kind and understanding and explained the process to me to help me calm down and everything was fine. Dr. Boardman is the best, and I also want to give a special shout-out to Renata who manages the front desk and is a total gem.

She is a very talented dentist and I always Feel comfortable under her care. She's very gentle when administering numbing shots barely hurts.. my most recent two crowns the two front teeth were weak with some decay and needed crowns. When I finally had the permanent crowns delivered they looked fantastic and I thought at that time they were great, she thought maybe they were little too long but as I was Laying down on the dental chair I thought they looked good enough and that I should go home with not much adjustment. So I went home. During the two weeks I couldn't figure out what was wrong why the chewing was not right but eventually I Realized my two front teeth were a little too long and was getting in the way while I was eating and sleeping because I usually close my mouth when I sleep, but couldn't do so with the longer front teeth. I called her office made an appointment for an adjustment. Dr. Vilderman listened to me while I was telling her my experience and begin adjusting them. As she was working, she would stop and ask me how I felt and check the bite frequently until it was perfect. Dr Vilderman's office is very clean, bright and cheerful and With a great staff and they always treat me with respect.. and if I need more dental work,, I know where to go. Thank you, Dr. Vilderman for a great job. My crowns look very realistic much like my normal teeth were. I also appreciate that she introduced me to the water pic system, which I had never used before bought one and I love it. I wish I knew it 40 years ago. I would've saved many many trips to the dentist and saved a lot of money because I have a lot of crowns in my back teeth. It's easy to use, and it cleans out all the dirt and gunk between the teeth and everywhere else I recommend everyone get this while you are young to prevent damage to your teeth from food and debris, creeps up on you. My dentist couldn't help me this day, so my friends recommended I call and talk to Dr. Nataly. First of all, Dr. Nataly and her assistant were able to find time in their schedule for my urgent appointment. Second, I was so impressed with the doctor's professionalism. Everything was perfect - how precisely she gives injections, how she seamlessly works with the instruments and explains what she is doing. I always had a hard time taking injections, and I experienced pain after every dental treatment. That time I didn't even take any medication after. There was no pain. I am so happy that I got to Dr. Nataly. I will stay with her, and I will definitely recommend her. She is very professional; she chooses the optimal treatment and procedures - the only one which you really need. Dr. Nataly is friendly, respectful, honest, and she cares - rare qualities these days. Obviously not, I work during the day just like most other people. After I said no, I didn't hear ANYTHING from them. Nothing to try to reschedule. No apology for cancelling last minute. I've also had their cavities FALL OUT and had to be redone. They've filled some cavities incompletely and had to go back and redo them. She may be gentle, but if she isn't taking good care of your teeth(which she's not) it isn't worth it. DO NOT GO HERE.
