After I got my braces off I was looking forward to getting my teeth whitening to complete the smile process. So I stopped by SF Premier Dental and they made my smile complete! I'm so in love with my smile, I can't stop smiling! From the moment I entered into the office the staff greeted me with such a warm welcoming (of course following all covid guidelines) check in process was quick, Marie welcomed me in followed by Ruby who was the dentist who whitened my teeth, the process was easy and I felt so comfortable while getting my teeth whitening. The process took about an hour and half (1.5). Ruby made sure throughout my process my teeth weren't feeling sensitive which they didn't, at the end of the process a gel was added specifically so my teeth wouldn't feel or get sensitive after. Again, I am so happy about my results, they came out better than I thought! I am supper grateful to the staff at SF Premier Dental especially Ruby who made this happen. I've been coming to see Dr. Marie since last year for my teeth cleanings every 6 months and I couldn't be more pleased! This place is so friendly and welcoming from the receptionist, to the dental assistants, and of course Dr. Marie! The staff here are super efficient as well and they send plenty of reminders via text message to remind you of your appointment. Dr. Marie is always so sweet, friendly, and efficient. My teeth cleaning generally lasts about 30 mins and my teeth feel nice and fresh. The office itself is pretty clean. They have air purifiers and the rooms look like it's cleaned well in between patients. She told me that she sees kids as well so I might have to bring my 1 year old to see her some time too :) Location is great - close to Glen Park BART station and MUNI bus stops - I always find free street parking within the block so it makes the trip to the dentist less stressful. I came here last year to get a crown and haven't been back since. My last visit left me feeling very traumatized and has given me the fear of going back to any dentist. Long story short, I was not given or offered the choice of any local anesthesia when fitting my crown and it was the worst dental experience of my life. I had never had a crown before so I wasn't sure what to expect, I did not need any root treatment so my tooth was highly sensitive which I did mention at the time. I felt everything and I had tears streaming down my face as the crown was cemented in place. It felt awful. In the moment, I think I was too embarrassed to say anything and wasn't sure if that was normal procedure. Afterwards, I texted them and told them how painful it was and asked if that was normal and they said yes. I understand there might be varying practices around this, but I highly recommend this be offered to the patient. I have given two stars mainly because the staff are lovely and I'm sure it wasn't their intention. read more

Generally I don't try to go to the dentists unless I have to, because of past painful experiences as a kid. I love eating sweets since I was little and my teeth has been rotting very frequently. The nervousness I go every time is real. But this place makes me less nervous. I start going to the dentist more. And efficiently I got a few fillings without any hassle. The experience with the staff was nice and friendly. However, the last time(today) I visited to grind the previous filling a bit more, to make it more even, I was told by the dentist it will not hurt. Since I walked into the room, I was being cut off from having a conversation as she said another patient is waiting. In a rush, she did not even introduce her assistant to me of their name. So I was being handled by someone I don't even know on a name basis. We agreed on 4pm as the front desk person on the phone notified me to come, and within 3 minutes of being seen I feel rushed from being cut off. Even though I arrived there on time. And I wonder if you cannot even make enough time to be present for your patient you're seeing at the moment why agree to it in the first place? This is nothing though. The drilling sound accompanied by that sharp pain caused made me lose trusting in what she initially said to me: it won't hurt. I understand I asked to come in today and I got treated on the same day which I am happy with. But this is awful. I need certain care and I don't find it here in today's visit. Ironically, the dentist is the person who tells me that she does not like to rush teeth in the first appointment. It doesn't hurt after the drill now. But it was a horrifying experience reliving again, reliving those times at the dentist office when I was younger. read more

MARIE IS THE G.O.A.T. I've been seeing her as a patient for 3 years or so now. Every time I come in she remembers me well and we always chat about movies or shows or restaurants or whatever. She's very nice to talk to even if her hands are in my mouth and I can't speak clearly back. She's very attentive and her staff is nice too. There's an older dental assistant who's also super kind, though she's less talkative than Marie lol I don't even live in San Francisco anymore but I will still go out of my way to see Dr. Marie because she's always down for a good chat. She also doesn't pressure me into feeling bad about my teeth health, even though I know I need to floss more. The number one thing she did though was she referred me to a periodontist because I had a receding gum line. She gave me his information and referred me, but then warned me that he likes to upsell sometimes. Well, turns out that when I went to the guy, he did try to upsell me! He was totally great in terms of his work and diagnosis, but I knew I was being upsold and I knew that partially because Marie was looking out for me and told me the truth. Her husband also works in the office (I think) and they're hella cute together which gives the office a nice vibe. The music station in the office is also usually great. If you go to see Marie, come prepared with movie suggestions or you'll draw a blank like I do every time! 10/10, would let her make my gums bleed again. read more

And he was very kind, patient and explains to me the whole process, clarify all my questions and concerns. He was very careful doing it the cleaning always make sure I was OK. I went in for a teeth whitening after years of accepting the slight yellow tint of my teeth. I had never had my teeth whitened and was a little worried the results wouldn't come out the way I expected but Dr. Marie and her staff exceeded my expectations! I chose to come to this dental office, because of the good reviews basically, to get my teeth fixed but that didn't happen. With all the good reviews here, how I wish I just listened to that one review that only gave this place 2-stars. Story time, when I first came to this place, I didn't feel welcomed at all, the receptionist was giving me an impression of unwilling to be at the front desk. Then I went to meet the dentist and her team, and out of all people inside that clinic, only one assistant was giving me a genuine care. I am very terrified with all dentists until I come to meet them and feel comfortable, but when I meet the dentist of this office, I didn't feel comfortable at all. She ordered my x-ray, then looked all my teeth and I told her that my main concern is a specific tooth on my bottom left and she didn't even let me finish my concerns, and told me that I've got so many teeth that has cavities and needs to get fixed. With that, she didn't take a look on the one that I have a concern, instead she repaired the one that I didn't have a concern with, which is now causing me so much problem as the filling she did chipped off, the tooth became sensitive, when in I barely use it to chew food. Then, back to the time that she was doing the filling, she looked nervous and uncomfortable because I was nervous and after the procedure, she just walked out, didn't even tell me any aftercare or when can I come back, then I looked for her inside the clinic and one of the assistants grabbed my attention and said that I can make appointment with their receptionist, and when I did, they were giving me a month wait for the next one. For those people here who gave 5-star reviews to this office, I'm genuinely happy that you got the treatment you expected and deserved, because I did not. read more

Dr. Marie cleaned and scrapped my teeth yet I didn't squirm like I usually did back when I visit the dentist. Dr. Marie thoroughly cleaned my teeth and she took her time making sure she got everything done. Usually, when I get my teeth cleaned with other dentists their hands were really rough and they rushed to get my teeth cleaned. Dr. Marie hands were very gentle and every so often she would ask how I was just in case I was in pain. Soon after my cleaning she took X-rays of my teeth and explained some of the things that she needs to work on in my next appointment. Her staff was friendly and seemed very helpful.
