Everything was fresh and tasty! Highly recommended if you're looking for a wonderful Asian Buffet.

Just finished lunch at the Joy Luck Buffet in Port Orange and I am stuffed. They have an almost awesome selection. There is seafood, ribs, Chinese, sushi, fried foods, salad and dessert. The sushi is decent, although the roles were not wrapped well, some fell right apart. There were a good amount of veggies, my favorite was the green beans and the mushrooms. They had green mussels in a spicy ginger sauce and black mussels in a red sauce. I stuffed myself on those. There were a lot of dessert options, but none I was particularly interested in. I had some fresh pineapple. Really wished they had watermelon and the ice cream was all artificially. For the price it was well worth it. Especially for lunch. I will return one day because I enjoyed myself.

This is my favorite Chinese buffet not only in Daytona area, but anywhere I've been to.

DH and I have been thinking about trying out this buffet but we weren't sure. I'm glad we did! We went at lunch on a Monday. The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated and the staff is continually bringing hot food onto the buffet and cleaning up on the buffet tables. Our server got our drink order and we went to get our food. They honestly were fantastic! They were attentive (refilled drinks promptly and often, cleared plates as soon as we set them aside). When they noticed that we were slowing down our eating, they discreetly dropped off the bill but said no hurry. It was lunch time and most people probably only had 1 hour for lunch so we understood. This was not meant to hurry us along and even after we paid, they said "no hurry". They have various sections of food: Sushi, salad, soups and dumplings, entrees (bourbon chicken, General Taos chicken, pepper beef, etc.) desserts. I thought the food was pretty tasty. The garlic shrimp were spicy which surprised me the pepper beef was good. The egg drop soup was delicious, mixed vegetables and salted mushrooms were awesome. They didn't have the boneless bbq spare ribs but their rice was fantastic. I was surprised that they didn't have broccoli chicken or broccoli beef but they did have bourbon chicken which was great. DH liked the sushi and bbq ribs (real ribs with sweet sauce on them), Salt and pepper chicken, and the General Tao's chicken was good (not super spicy). We didn't get a chance to taste everything but it seemed like they had dishes to please the entire family. They even had tilapia! The chopsticks were at the buffet stations and there were extra silverware between the stations. The plates were nicely decorated. The entire restaurant had a fantastic atmosphere and the hosted helped us when I had questions about what was in one of the dishes. She noticed I was asking the person who was refilling the food and she helped me out. The only reason that I didn't give them 5 stars is because I like a lot of the dishes I mentioned above that they didn't have. I also like a buffet that has a hibachi station and unfortunately they don't have one. Would I return? Yes! The food I ate was delicious and I left full and happy!

There is not many options here.... There's two places to get food from and I tried a good amount of the meats and I didn't like any of them. The overall vibe is really weird, the seating we got sat at was by the food tables so it felt like everybody was like all in our space constantly. The waitress was quick to put the Check on the table while we were eating reaching her arm across our table to put it on the other side of me, and interrupted a conversation to have me hand it to her when my card was in it. There is signs everywhere saying don't take more then you can eat which makes it awkward trying a bunch of food and not liking it and looking like you're just wasting food and getting looks. My friends stomach was hurting before we even got out of the door. None of the food I got really tasted good except the lo mein. My friend said some of the food tasted like it shouldn't. The fried rice was ok too. Probably won't be coming back which is a shame since we were so excited to visit.

It's mediocre all you can eat Chinese food including sushi and sashimi. The servers are not very friendly. The food is mass produced and inconsistent in quality. But there is enough variety that we did find things we enjoyed. I do not recommend the crab, i was pretty excited for it but it seemed tasted quite fishy tasting. Also, there was an overhead fluorescent light that kept flickering. It was annoying and when others patrons pointed it out to the server they just nodded and laughed.

    Variety!! Excellent

Once you understand that this is a restaurant founded in 1959, housed in a former two story home originally built in 1951, you may come to appreciate the history and understand the vibe. It is truly amazing that this historic restaurant has survived in 2026. I happen to like the uniqueness and honestylye-feel, as if you're at someone's grandma's house. There is plenty of parking directly behind the restaurant and a small lot in ftont of the restaurant. There's parking along the side too. I enjoy the beautiful plants and flowers surrounding the restaurant. Honestly, they can make for a nice photo on a good day. Upon entering, if it's busy, like on Sunday afternoons, you'll find that you'll receive a little card with a number on it. After waiting and listening for your number to be called, you'll be seated. Check the website before you go... You'll be prepared for the hybrid meal service. Some things are served to you at the table and are not unlimited, like soups and desserts. Some things are self-serve and unlimited, like the old-fashioned salad bar and hot vegetables. A server will hand-carve your choice of meat for you. Just "know-before-you-go" by taking a quick glance at the website. Is it five star food? No. Is it just homey country style cooking? Yes. They serve lunch and dinner. They are supported by generations of locals. Lots of people like to celebrate their birthday here. If you bring at least 3 friends to help you celebrate, you'll dine for free. Contrary to many reviews, I've never experienced or seen rudeness. In fact, I've seen staff taking the time to be friendly to guests. When coming here, you can't be super picky about the food - it's not a five star restaurant. Yes, the green beans may be from a can. It's okay, you'll survive! Enjoy the unique experience!

We didn't even stay after reading the menu and that says everything. They advertise it as a "buffet," but it's completely misleading. You're still paying for protein items if you want seconds, so it's not a true buffet at all. Feels like a bait-and-switch the second you look at the menu. The setup was confusing, the vibe was off, and honestly it didn't feel worth sticking around to figure it out. If you're expecting a traditional buffet experience, this is not it. Save your time and your money go elsewhere!

The atmosphere is great. There is seating at tables and booths on both sides of the food area and even a larger room towards the back. This time we visited on the weekend. The buffet itself is more expensive on the weekends because they offer more seafood. The server took our drink order and we went to look at the food stations. We both got egg drop soup and chicken broccoli. I got pepper steak, sautéed mushrooms, garlic butter shrimp, ripe plantains, fried rice and green beans. The food was delicious. Some food was better than other choices but that's to be expected. You can't please every palate in a buffet. My mom enjoyed it so much that she decided to purchase a to go container of food to take home. They brought it to her, she didn't want any seafood so she paid less than the normal price and she filled it with the food she wanted. Thankfully my allergy isn't extremely severe and I didn't consume any shrimp, but it was still concerning to see no effort made to prevent cross-contamination. But here lately there has been a huge lacking in service, and quality of said service. Tonight there might have been 2, maybe 3 servers and one of those was new. There was 2.5 hours before the restaurant closes and BAM out of nowhere 2 of the 3 servers started slinging wet towels to wipe down tables and moving napkin holder and chairs like their life depended on it. The two servers even had "up to the elbow" gloves on like they were going into surgery. They started dropping the blind and shifting the little table drink signs all in one group on a table like it was a "you just walked in but hey, were closing". We couldn't get drink refills, they didn't take any used plates, but they stayed busy doing something, just not dealing with the customer tables in the restaurant. While the food was ok, there is a large question about cleanliness. After they started cleaning put our table and wanting to sweep under our table while we were still eating we decided the one plate wad enough. We went to the restrooms to wash up and that was a nightmare! Both of the men's and ladies room look liked they had been hit by a hurricane, a month ago. The stalls were.. dirty, not usable by.. the looks of.. yeah. The floors were stained, the sinks had rubber hoses attached to the faucet to force the water to exit directly into the drain giving you maybe 1"and half to put your hands between and wash. While that reduces water from splash and getting everywhere, you are also going to hit that sharp part of the hose or the bottom of the sink where everyone else has hit their hands trying to wash.. So, even through they are two different rooms, if they cannot clean the bathrooms right, then how clean is the kitchen that they are making all of this food in?
