Worst customer service and food I have ever had. Customer service was lack luster I was made to feel like I was gonna steal my take out order,and she was extremely rude. Smaller buffet and attentive believe that a bar is attached on the other side. The selection is not as large as Jax or Snaug Chinese buffet. I would have rated lower if possible - starting with price $33 for two for lunch attended at the register by two very young children. The food was for the most part not edible. My wife's food was cold with the string beans still frozen - how this place stays open is beyond me - the county health inspector should be ashamed for allowing this business to remain open read more

Everything that I tried was either cold or lukewarm! It's as if they stored it in refrigeration, then got it out in the morning and never heated it up for the lunch crowd. Wouldn't even give it one star. Don't know how it's rated 2.5 stars! I guess it's good by Palatkan standards. read more

I'm unsure why the former negative reviews still stand. My family and I just recently pulled a city mouse-country mouse swap. As in, we are the "City Mouse," in the country. So, it is very unfair to judge a place by City Slicker standards. First, yes very friendly staff. The sweet little old father, led me to the silverware section, using hand gestures, because he knows little English. The plates and silverware were handwashed by himself. They were clean, and the silverware was polished...wow! The place was all creams and lite eucalyptus greens-with a pretty oak trim. Big fans, and traditional mini villages overshadowed by mountain waterfalls, was the main theme. A hand painted golden mountain overlooking a snow tipped spruce tree surrounding a evening lake, was in pride of place near a bathroom entryway. The fanciest area was the "fine dining," area where Leo's Finest Sushi, is seating it's patrons. Geisha and other contemporary art along with slick smooth chairs, and the gleaming sushi prep area center everything. I was told by a business man in the area, that the sushi is better there than the only other competitors sushi bar in the area. I will do a review soon, because I was impressed by the competitor's sushi. The buffet was 3 bars. Meat and vegis, steamed and fried rice, various toppings. Appetizers hot and cold, and even a cooked and cold selections of basic California Rolls, cakes, cookies, soups, ice creams, and seafood broiled, fried, or baked. Tilapia was baked, shrimp was served steamed, fried,coconut, peppered, stuffed, and mussels were served baked or on the half shell. Here's one city folk will gawk over: whispers-the drinks are INCLUDED in the $14 Dinner price! Don't expect fancy stuffed dumplings slash wontons with lotus chunks and spices. Expect jimmy dean straight up pork sausage with some Chinese 5 spices. Overall: tasty, fills the teenager's bottomless pits, great for grandma and grandpa's spice sensitive stomachs. Bring your own garlic powder and spices if you have to. I judge a place bigtime by its quality of its rice. Excellent rice. You won't burn yourself when you hit the pans, or go to eat things. It's disappointing giving this place a 2. Everything is just dated and the food has serious temperature issues. The hot food was no where near hot, best described as luke warm. The desserts, which were small cakes and such are ones that would best be served cool to cold. Again, luke warm would be the best description of their temperature. The food was about average with the standouts being the won ton soup, the fried plantains, and the pepper shrimp for me. Egg rolls were not hot and too mushy. Other items seemed inconsistently sauced or left to die on the buffet. The potstickers seemed good inside, but there were dried out parts along the edge and they just seemed oddly old for me arriving 30 minutes after they opened. Every staff member was friendly and I observed a few of them helping elderly and disabled patrons fill and carry their plates back to their tables, a nice gesture. read more

Don't ever go to ANY buffet right before closing time...with that being said, earlier in the day, Palatka Buffet is pretty darn decent for as inexpensive as they are. Where else can you go to an all you can eat buffet for UNDER $8.00? If you're ever there and they're out of something, simply let Daniel know and they will make more fresh for you immediately! From the delicious "chicken-on-a-stick" to the Black Pepper Chicken...best fresh chicken wings and home-made soups...for less than $10 you can eat fresh and a much healthier choice than your usual fare! Is it eat off the floor clean? No. But neither are most buffets. The decor is dated but I don't care. I'm there for an inexpensive meal of decent quality. And they do deliver that. I have not noticed the food being cold. The owner is very friendly. We didn't notice the buffet sushi until we were paying up. The owner handed us a take out container and said to take some home. $8 for a buffet is a hard price to beat. They have typical Chinese takeout food and some desserts. There are some sushi that are for you to grab as well. On the side, you can order some sushi from seperate menu, they have a great variety and very cheap (Leo's sushi). The food was so bad I wouldn't even go twice to take another photo to show you what I mean. I got so sick eating at this buffet two weeks ago that I went homeless for three hours. I became yellow and feverish from the dumpling soup. I did not have more then three bites of my usual general tso, pork fried rice and egg roll plate. My family and I went to this buffet Saturday Feb. 2nd 2014, around 7pm. It was my husband, and 2 kids, ages 6, and 8. We are regulars, and drive about 30 miles one way to get to this buffet, we come here at least 3 times a month. This time, the food that was sitting out was old, tasted horrible, and finally, when my daughter wanted just fruit, she sat down to eat it, and found there was mold on it!!! My husband politely told the waitress this, and she proceeded to scream at us that it wasn't mold, and ate it right in front of us!!! After being yelled at like this, we said we were done, we were going to leave, and 4 of the people who worked there began making a huge scene and saying that they were calling the cops. We never once said we were not going to pay, we were just informing them of mold!!! We asked for the manager, and was told that it was family owned, so they were all managers. They said they would take off one meal because of the mold, but never did. The cops came and were outraged that the woman ate the evidence of the mold!! The cops thanked us and told us they were going to take their family there, but now they are not!! We have never had a bad experience until now, and I am telling you, we are never going back. While the cops were there, the lady began lying saying my husband, who is physically disabled threw a table and a plate, and said he wasn't going to pay. CUSTOMERS CAME UP TO THE POLICE AND TOLD THEM, THIS IS A LIE, WE NEVER SAID THIS, AND WE NEVER DID THIS!!! This place is horrible, and needs some serious help read more

Food is just OK. The price goes up and quality goes down. It used to be better. Don't go for lunch, the food is cold.
