The dining area is right along the river front without any road between you and the water you can sit there watching the swans and boats bob up and down. However, we came in February which made this a 3.5 star place. I'll give them 4 as the service was so good. The menu is extensive. We could have sat here for a good 45 min just making our choices, and after seeing the specials board, another half hour! This is a must for all veggies, it's a great place with a good vibe. The tables are all crammed into the small space, making it feel cosy and homely. Not to everyone's taste, but I thought it was lovely.

This is a small cozy restaurant, with a menu that has something to satisfy everyone, from salads to stir-fries, to burgers. We tried a variety of dishes during our visit, and each dish was full of flavor with a homemade feeling. Additionally, portions are decent and dishes go for around 12 pounds. So if you are in London, and want a meal that is full of flavor, that feels like eating in the comfort of home, 222 Vegan is an excellent choice for the price. My Criteria 5 stars: The best food I have ever had, or an excellent option given the price. 4 stars: Good food, a restaurant I look forward to trying again. 3 stars: Good food, a restaurant that I am indifferent to. 2 stars: Below average experience, will not go again. 1 stars: This restaurant should be closed.

Pau is the small square loaf of bread so well known in Mumbai and likely getting its name from Portuguese, reflecting Mumbai's Portuguese heritage. Only food establishments with an authentic Mumbaikar pedigree seem to get the Vada Pau and Pau Bhaji right. However, Thakers is a great find and in close proximity to a Sakoni (perhaps the longest chaat serving restaurant in London going back to its original Wembly location) and a few other great Indian restaurants. Besides Hounslow is easier to get to being on the Picadilly line just before Heathrow. I always wanted to try East African influenced Gujarati food and this satisfied my craving until, one of these days, I make my food pilgrimage to Mombasa and Nairobi.
