I rate their Extra Special wine selection which cleverly allows you to to buy a mini bottle so you can try before you opt for the full-price, full-size number. The wholefood section also has good things and has improved greatly, recently. Staff here are very helpful and polite for instance, when I've requested an item that's missing from the shelves, even coming to track me down to inform me if they've been able to find it, while I'm continuing to shop.

Handily, it's also open later (until 10pm on weekdays) than most other supermarkets in the vicinity. I like the WellBeing section with interesting products and some decently priced lines. The deli counter has a comprehensive range, with some occasional quirky offerings and tastings. I recently made an intriguing new taste discovery here: Ilchester's Cheddar & Fruitcake combination - unusual and delicious! There's a pharmacy at the back of the store that also has a fair selection of alternative remedies. In contrast, close to the front of the store is a hot counter with cooked chicken, ribs, Chinese and Indian dishes. When I've had cause to ask questions at this store I've experienced both ends of the spectrum: fantastically helpful smiling staff and, on several occasions, downright aggression (even in response to a very normal bog-standard enquiry).

So i kick up a fuss and a 22 year old manager comes out and just does not know what he is talking about ,after a few fucks he threw at me i just left. Stock levels are usually good and I tend to find that what has sold out at the bigger store can be found here - and at the same price, not more expensive as some metro stores can be. friendly staff, recently installed self scan checkouts which makes shopping here a lot faster, although sometimes the self scans are not open first thiing in the morning which seems a bit daft to me as they only have one cashier on duty.

I admire this clever idea, that has recently been put into action, at select branches of the high street supermarket chain. Once you've paid for your shopping, the cashier will hand you a little green plastic token (at no extra cost). On your way out, you'll notice three large, transparent, plastic containers filled - to varying degrees - with the little green 'buttons'. Above each container, there's a summary of information relating to each local project, charity or good cause. After reading about them, you make your choice, deciding which container is most worthy of your token, place it in the green-'coin' slot and, at the end of the month, Waitrose will divide and donate £1000, accordingly, between the three chosen causes. Each month the selected local good causes change; if you have a deserving project in mind there are leaflets on-hand for you to provide details for consideration. What a brilliant, original and smile-inducing idea!

A great Waitrose stocking loads of the regular stuff and also a wide range of ethnic, gluten free…read morefoods and all sorts of obscure products and the chocolate range is awesome. The fish counter is good and well dispalyed and so is the cheese counter. Late Saturdays the most of the fresh bread is gone :-). Only Waitrose staff know exactly where anything is. AND THEY WILL PERSONALLY TAKE YOU THERE unlike other supermarkets where staff just go it's over there ! Food is always good quality and they will willingly take something back if it's not of the required standard. excellent range of beers and ciders.

The check-out queues often dominate the store and curiously they never seem to 'man' (or woman) all the check-outs. It's usually good-humoured here though and you can often strike-up a friendly conversation with fellow 'queuees'. Staff are usually pretty pleasant too and don't seem too stressed by their workload. As it's not a huge branch you might not find all your favourite products here and stock is not replenished as often as it could be. Still, it's a handy store and has its merits.

This bijou branch of the food giant is bustling to the brimful on weekend evenings. A boon to the…read morearea, it's much in demand, as most other foodie stores, in the vicinity, haven't moved beyond a suburban hour time-set. Although not generously endowed there's a decent choice of fresh ingredients and cook-chill items. But be aware that, due to space limitations, some of the more sought-after goodies sell-out quickly and the range isn't as full or comprehensive as you would expect to find in larger outlets. When you do get the chance to speak to a staff member they're helpful and obliging, happy to check on missing item availability. Close to the tills, you'll find fresh flowers, a small in-store bakery selection, newspapers and magazines. Handy for browsing while you wait, patiently, in the often lengthy queues.

There is a fairly comprehensive produce section, and a reasonable meat section. Again, there aren't any counters, however the fresh meat and deli section is reasonable. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the store is on a busy high street so again, services folk who may not have a car. There is a car park behind this Tesco, however, it is pay and display, regardless of whether you buy anything in Tesco. All in all, a good small supermarket.

So basically my friend was walking and she turned around to talk to someone and walked into a…read morepostbox. Her face was SLICED near the eye area which is particularly dangerous by said postbox. As you imagine this was very traumatic and due to severely concust she threw up multiple times in a bush that happened to have leaves even though it was winter so it must of been evergreen. Anyway in this time of crisis I was in desperate need of water and tissue and where better to go than tescos down the road. I sprited past the mass of people to retrieve water for my dying friend. The people were very helpful in tescos. Just so you know my friend did not die and her eye healed with a yellow bruise. The end.
