Where I stayed...this store was right down the street...OMG...LOVE IT....had fresh fruits (the british cherries and strawberries are sooooooooo good...best i've ever had thus far) to go sammies, crisps (chips), hot food, booze (beer wine and the hard stuff) clothes, medicine...you name it they have it. I would walk down the street from my hotel to come here and grab stuff....was sooo happy I stumbled upon it.

People can leave but no one gets in

Unbelievable, truly unbelievable. I realize there is pandemic situation right now but can you explain to me how it makes sense to have people stand in the cold drizzle for a hour just to get in? I've watched AT LEAST 20 people leave and there are only about 20 outside but everyone still has to wait until 7? I called to ask when they open, told 6 so I'm here at 620 but never mind. Why not one in and one out? I only want vitamins anyway but seriously? They're making people sick here. This is sad and ridiculous. So disappointed. It's shameful really. How does this make sense? Now people are starting to cough. Hmm maybe because it's cold and rainy? Can't even wait in the entry way.

    Cadbury UK Version

Sainsbury's is a chain Supermarket in the UK, I came here specifically for one thing.... Cadbury Chocolate! For those of you back in the U.S. that are reading this, YES we have Cadbury Chocolates in the States so WHY would I be bringing this back home?. Let me break it down for you! Ingredients: U.S. - Sugar, milk, chocolate, cocoa butter, lactose, soy lecithin, PGPR, natural and artificial flavor. U.K. - Milk, sugar, cocoa butter, cocoa mass, vegetable fat, emulsifiers, flavorings. The predominant ingredient in the UK made chocolate is "MILK" giving it a nice CREAMY flavor, where the U.S. Chocolate is predominantly made with "SUGAR" making it sweeter! Personally I prefer the creamy flavor VS the Sugary Sweet flavor! 5-Stars for the British made Cadbury, I have no idea what else is in this market, it's BIG! http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sainsburys-london-31#ghh5rIczs_5UCMEqk9_E_w http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sainsburys-london-31#ZGp8WCw16n9Uu0gxMm4rOA http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sainsburys-london-31#tZ_y0neXNGeHUgooNYlBUA

lots of parking spaces with about 4% allocated for handicap and 4% for parent and child. the opening hours are definitely a plus point. mostly 24hrs except for mon opening at 8am, sat closing at 10pm and sun opening between 11am-5pm. this is a huge supermarket. wide aisles with wide range of products. they also have a freshly cooked food section with nice roast chicken. i am also impressed that they sell a good range of toys at cheaper than hamleys prices! checkout counters are plentiful and you also have the option of automated self checkout counters. it was rather idiot proof. and staff was on hand if you encountered any hitches. a haven for the insomniacs indeed!

    Squidgy yes....delicious no.

The range here is a bit limited, especially on straightforward basics, so you couldn't substitute it for your normal food shopping, unless you live on M&S ready meals. (And it would be ruinously expensive to try.) But they do have a reasonable fruit and veg section, and a huge selection of said ready-meals. In addition, they always have lots of tempting chocolates and cakes alongside the single queue to the checkouts, so clearly the marketing folk have been doing their stuff. It's a great place to watch the 'pester power' of the offspring of Chelsea and Kensington in action. For me, it's good for the odd treat for special occasions, emergency shopping, and their reliable wine selection. And entertainment, as Araminta delivers that flawlessly executed tantrum in a bid for a white chocolate rabbit...

It is pricey though. You have a decent selection of veggies, meats, ready to eat meals, breads, frozen, dairy, cheeses selections. It is a bit hard to distinguish different aisle form one another but at the end you find what you are looking for. They key here is you can go in and out very fast with the their automatic cashier system, and somewhat small store footprint. I go there for quick errands at the end of the day.

This Tesco is a disgrace, and after 25 years of going there, I've had enough. One star because no…read moreoption for zero stars. Sainsburys a bit further along Cromwell Road will now be getting my custom. Firstly, for a large London store, it is complete crap. The large stores outside of London put it to shame. Stock is rubbish, and it really has nothing more than food. It is appalling. Don't ever do self scan on any type of large shop, they now scan ALL your shopping again when you get to scan out, because they don't trust anyone. Where before there was a designated checkout for people who self-scanned, they have now lumped it together with usual shopping, so where you can scan out, you now have all the muppets checking out huge trolleys-ful of shopping, and you have to wait ages. Pathetic, and completely useless for the organised people amongst us, who do self-scan for speed. Go to the manned checkouts and get them to do it, since that's their job, and you don't get humiliated and assumed to be a thief, either. As for the car park outside, yes, I know there is building work, BUT that does not excuse what is happening on the first floor car park, where you're lucky if you find a space because of the car wash, electric vehicle chargers, and chauffeur cars who hang out there all day reading the newspaper and drinking coffee. But what tipped me over the edge today, is the amount of homeless lying around, chucking rubbish everywhere, and as I saw this morning, defecating in the car park spaces. Absolutely disgusting. If Tesco think we are putting up with that, they are sorely mistaken. I suggest you take control of your car park, have security guards patrolling, throw out the undesirables, and clean the place up. It is a cesspit, and for a store associated with food, it is disgusting I shall be making sure this review is well-publicised, and will be writing to the council about the state of the place, and that you, Tesco are operating a car park where you allow homeless people to hang around and defecate on the premises, where people are supposed to walk, and park their cars. Your head office is also going to get to hear about this. Possibly TikTok and other social media too. If you think this is what your customers should put up with, you can stuff it, I'm sticking with my favoured stores, Waitrose, Sainsburys and M&S Look forward to your soon to be, fame, and hopefully visits from the council regarding health, safety, public health and hygiene. The fact that you don't respond to negative reviews tells me exactly what I thought, that Tesco are only interested in profits, not customer experience, ambience and cleanliness. If I can I will try and get you visited by environmental health, and closed down because the car park alone, is grounds for me to advise everyone to avoid the CROMWELL ROAD TESCO SUPERSTORE like the plague, because it is so unhygienic you probably will get some sort of plague! Bye. UPDATE: which doesn't help your position, it actually makes it worse. Having seen other reviews who also talk about piles of human excrement in the car park, near the entrance, and the smell wafting into the store where the fresh produce is, some with photo evidence. I am definitely reporting you to the council, environmental health, and any other bodies who will hopefully come down on you like a tonne of bricks, and if we are really lucky, close you down. Suggest you sort this situation out pronto, as I am determined to make an example of you. DISGRACE!

I frankly haven't changed much over the years. I stayed in South Kensington. I loved it. Across from Gloucester Road tube station was this Waitrose. It had everything that I needed. I tend to get lemons and make lemon tea in the morning. Waitrose had lemons, so I got three that lasted my entire stay. The baked goods section is excellent. I got croissants here. They were flaky, buttery, and yummy. I got some peanut brittle, too. It was so good. Butter tends to make anything taste better. I remember seeing self-checkouts here. I ended up wanting a human. He was great. I paid with a credit card. It worked perfectly. I'm so glad that this Waitrose still exists. It was a good grocery store that had everything I needed while I was here for a week. (38)
