The other noodle place in Greenwich - I usually go to Tai Won Mein which is one block away but this time decided to ditch the routine. The place looks tidy. There is a waving Chinese cat below the sign 'Merry Christmas'. That's a nice touch considering the rest of Greenwich is now full of flashy Santas and shiny street decorations. The theme of moderation weightlessly expanded during my stay here. The food was moderately good. I ordered chicken and sweet corn soup which was amazing. Followed by noodles with sauce and roast duck which was rubbery and hard to bite. The service was also moderate. I had to write my order by the pen provided on the form. However the waiter when saw my handwriting he crossed off everything I wrote and rewrote it below. I think it's a really good place if you are a student or have limitless stomach. The portions are immense. I am still full after my meal and its late evening (I visited this place for lunch). There is a less choice of udon noodles than in Tai Won Mein but to make a verdict which one is better I will have to come back here again. Keep your expectations in moderation and you should enjoy this decent noodle bar! read more

This place is great if you want a lot of oriental-style food for not a lot of money! (~£5/6pp) There are a variety of dishes on offer and although the staff are not particularly friendly, the taste and price of the food has made it a firm favourite of mine. I didn't intend to eat at Noodle Time but I was absolutely starving and had 20 minutes before my film started at The Picturehouse, so it was either noodles or a sausage roll from Greggs. I opted for the noodles, as I quite fancied a quick beer as well. Within 20 minutes I had ordered, eaten a small soup and a plate of chicken noodles and drunk a beer- success! It was quite a struggle to order- there seems to be hundreds of people working there, yet nobody is keen to serve you. There was a group of waitresses huddled around the till chatting and inspecting their phones, so I found myself having to go up to them to give them my order. Not that I cared, my food was brought to me within seconds. The food here is definitely not great, but it isn't exactly disgusting either. The disgusting thing was the speed in which myself, and other customers, were consuming the food- it has the turnaround rate of a macdonalds. This is not a relaxing place to come and eat, not only do you find yourself inhaling your food, there is also the most annoying music being played in the background. And it isn't from the restaurant, but from the hoards of teenagers that fill the restaurant, playing music from their mobile phones. If you are looking for a cheap meal though and only have a few minutes to spare, then this place is a possibility- without my beer, two courses came under 5 pounds. read more

I don't want to sound like a snob, but I hate it in here. It is better than Tae Won Mien around the corner. But it's horrible. Noodles thrown into a bowl with the cheapest possible meat they can buy. Nice. This is not chinese food as it's meant to be. The stuff are rude, the food isn't very good and there's nothing good about being here. It's not fun. Yes it's cheap. This place has really attracted the full gamut of opinions hasn't it? Well, here's mine. The ultimately correct one. Noodle Time is a very, very cheap place to buy MSG packed, massive portions of noodles and rice dishes. If you're up for a fancy 'authentic' Chinese meal experience then this probably isn't it. If you want a lot of addictive, tangy food for not much money then this is ideal. Decor inside is a bit too much like a the set of some terrible I heart the 70s program, so I would suggest a take away. Prices from about £2.50 - £4 (each dish includes rice/noodles). read more

I love this place. If I am in greenwich it is somewhere I have to stop in on. The portions are huge and it is not too expensive. The food is uyumy and I have had 7-8 different dishes from here now on various occasions. It is typicial noodle bar style with benchs and menus on paper which is circled and your bowl/plate sits above it when it arrives. Depending on your mood and culinary tastes this may or may not prove to be a pleasing pit stop for your journey. Noodletime is placed just off the market square in maritime Greenwich. Inside the place looks nice and clean, cheapness is the order of the day. The food is usually very promptly served in all it's MSG glory and you can et a very cheap meal given that you are in such a touristic area. Quality wise the food is very bog standard and at times artificial. You won't be wanting to grab the recipes but if you need a quick cheap sit down meal Noodletime could be a better option than some. read more

A regular haunt when we lived near Greenwich, this noodle bar is a great place to get good food at reasonable prices (under £7 per head, depending on what you choose to drink). Service is invariably fast and you often grab a table, sharing with strangers if its too busy - which it usually is! Because of its popularity with students, it always has a wonderful buzz to it - and I've lost count of how many celebs I've seen in there too. Paying for the meal is always a bit chaotic but if you want fast food which will leave you full, you can't fault this place. read more

Noodle Time - Seafood noodle - Chinese Near Me - London, XGL

Noodle Time used to be a superb Chinese restaurant, and one that we would order dinner from every 3 weeks or so. However, in the last few months it has gone downhill - from smaller portion sizes to removing free extras such as prawn crackers and soft drinks. This would earn Noodle Time an "average" review if not for our most recent experience. Two weeks ago our order took 90 minutes to arrive (instead of the promised 45 minutes), which we were told was due to a new delivery driver not knowing the area. By itself this wouldn't have been a major issue, but when our food arrived it was cold and inedible. When we informed Noodle Time of this, they advised that they would not be able to replace or refund our order that evening because they were "just too busy". We were instead offered our next order free of charge instead, which we accepted. Two weeks later, we placed another order. The person taking our order said that she saw the note on our address that our previous order was delivered cold, but told us that we would receive only a £7 discount rather than a complementary order. Before we were able to question this, they rudely hung up on us without knowing whether our order had actually been placed. Some time later the order did arrive, but we were in for another shock - the driver happened to have "no change at all", meaning we ended up having to pay most of the amount we were discounted in the first place. We will not be eating here again, and would encourage others not to do so either. We're not sure whether there has been a change in management or if the staff in general just care less, but it is not the great little restaurant it once was. read more

I have a couple chinese places nearer to me, but they are disgusting and I wake up with an MSG hangover the next day. I'd say Noodle Time is good for a decent, cheap bite that's not gross. read more

I went there twice before but probably no third time. As what others mentioned in the review, you get a big plate with very low price. However, the quality of food is poor especially vegetables (not fresh or overcooked). The dishes you get can be cold inside, and they were probably prepared long before your order and without enough reheat. Comparing to the other noodle place near the Cutty Sark DLR station (huge portion as well), Noodle Time is definitely worse in food quality. read more

This place was pretty good. The servings were quite large! Mostly all the dishes come with noodles, but there are a handful of options without. Vegan/vegetarian options are available as well! The fried aubergine was good but super heavy. The Monk's Vegetables were delicious, and even had celery. It was pretty cheap as well, especially for London. The service was very enthusiastic and nice, and did not take a long time. The mints at the cash register are an added bonus point. read more

I went to this restaurant with a couple of friends, and we each ordered our own dish. The servers/staff were nice and the food came out quickly. The portions of all our food were large and I resultantly had the remaining boxed as take away (and it later became two more meals). There are many a noodle bars popping up all over London, but my favourite chain has got to be Noodle Time. I initially started frequenting Noodle Time as a student at Greenwich university. Noodle Time is seconds away from my Greenwich University and doesn't charge students for their drinks before four o clock as long as you can prove you're a student. The food is incredibly cheap, at three pounds fifty a dish, maybe a little more for a sea food dish and the portions are absolutely huge. However, by the time I had graduated I had stretched my stomach enough to finish a whole serving of Sweet and Sour Chicken and egg fried rice. I now try to stay away from Noodle Time, as I'm on a severe calorie counting diet, but if you ever fancy some speedy tasty Chinese I really would recommend this place. The service can be pretty bad, it's no Michelin restaurant, infact au contraire, but when money is tight and you fancy meeting up with some friends for something to eat then Noodle Time in Greenwich is the place. And because it is surrounded by all of Greenwich's bars, you can even afford to go for a glass of wine somewhere after. This place saw my best years as a student and no matter where I eat or how many calories I count now, I will always hold this place close to my heart! read more

If you want a cheap bite to eat, then this is the place to go. If you're looking for gourmet food, you're not going to find it here! It's great if you're a student or a bit broke and feeling a bit hungry after a night out in Greenwich, but the restaurant itself (if you can call it that,) is cold feeling and has no atmosphere, you have to sit on plastic benches with plasticky tables but there is a good selection of food and you get a reasonably sized portion to boot. I'm not sure it's all that healthy though, probably packed full of MSG but tasty and cheap!! read more

Noodle Time is a cheaper and less tasty version on Thai Won Mein that is just around the corner. The staff don't seem too interested in you unless they are taking your money and the food is like something I would whip up. Braised beef & soup are good, much Cantonese style. But the noodle is to soft. Seems overlooked.

The food is very cheap, and the portion sizes are massive, but unfortunately the cheapness comes through in the flavour - avoid.

If it is cheap and cheerful you are looking for then Noodle Time is the place to go in Greenwich. The service is unfriendly but fast. The food is ok and plentiful. You sit squashed on benches with other people but hey it's cheap. There are lots of students that eat here and families. It is true that it is like a Chinese Mc Donald's but slightly healthier. We last went there in the spring time. It was freezing cold outside and a welcome escape from the cold. The windows were all steamed up and I felt like I was in a trucker's cafe. Our meal was ok, nothing more, but the staff are so disinterested. It is a shame as it could be a very nice place. read more

a more cheap and cheerful place could surely not be found anywhere else. the decor is bright,very bright! but clean and fresh. the food is simple, quick and delicious. mainly Cantonese in style it caters for the unqualified palette, the customer who needs instant satisfaction and is not interested too much in style. perfect for students as it offers free drinks for them on weekdays and as it generally very cheap anyway it is great value for a quick hearty lunch. read more

Hi everyone, I visited this restaurant today and was disgusted by their customer services. Ordering the food was time consuming but dining in was not bad. The major problem was when requesting a take away of what was left in my plate. When I came home I looked into the bag and found a tissue with disgusting sputum on it. It was very disgusting and it put me off so bad that I left the food as it is. I am very disappointed since I used to think it was a decent place but obviously their customer service stinks sometimes. read more
