Small, but a nice variety of quality produce, amazing flowers, cheese, meat, even wine and spirits. Now step one of shopping at the farmers market for me is always grabbing a cup of coffee and a snack, because these are farmers market prowling necessities. Once my snacks and coffee are in hand I have to inspect all the stalls for the choice produce, then I double back to grab all of my goodies. Each week there are new and yummy things. It's fall so of course pumpkins, apples and corn are making their debut. I always end these farmer market trips with a beautiful bundle of flowers. All the vendors are local, very knowledgeable about their products and so sweet! Check them out every Saturday from spring to fall.

There's a vendor selling baked Amish goods. It's a true farmers market selling items rather than grab-and-go food. Keep that in mind if you expect to get breakfast here. We picked some strawberries and sugar snap peas, both smaller than what you would be used to at the grocery stores, but packed with so much delicious flavor! The girls had an absolute blast going through the fields, even trying to squeeze in a taste (we had to hawk-eye watch them). I loved feeling like we were supporting a local business, but also what farms should be and what I grew up with (We didn't have to make a reservation, we didn't have to pay for each person, we just paid for what we picked) It's not a huge operation, but it did the job for us. Mark creates a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and the small class size allows you to succeed in your creation. I usually go solo, and meet such nice people, some of whom attend with a friend, or spouse, and others who are solo like me. I love the wide variety of classes: I've learned pickling, pasta making from scratch, how to make creams and curds, and about different mushrooms and ways to prepare them. You also get plenty of delicious goodies to take home, which is a great bonus. Definitely money well spent--I can't wait to sign up for another class!
