Trophy is also a very good gym, this location is just the right size, is clean, and has good equipment. The staff are friendly and professional - Greyson, john, Gina, and the entire staff is friendly and warm. When I need help they are responsive. I've been to many gyms/trainers, from Los Angeles Equinox, to San Antonio Golds Gym, and Houston 24 hour fitness, but Trophy has really honed in on what makes a gym great and has fair pricing. After class, Rachel gave us a tour of the facility and was incredibly welcoming and friendly, just like the rest of the staff. The gym itself is beautiful, modern, and exceptionally clean. I especially loved the white and tan interior design--it creates a bright, upscale atmosphere. The women's locker room is impressive, featuring lockers for personal belongings, a sauna, and a cold plunge. There are also convenient water refill stations throughout the gym. One of the most unique features is the slide, which definitely adds some personality and fun to the space! There's also an outdoor workout area in the corner for anyone who prefers exercising outside. Overall, Recess offers a great combination of high-quality fitness classes, excellent amenities, and a welcoming community. I would definitely recommend checking it out.

When I went in person to sign up for a membership I told them I had never been there before and and I had to ask for a tour. They told me none of the free perks you're supposed to get. I only found out through a friend and when I was trying to cancel my membership I had to go in person three separate times and call at least five. I also had to practically beg them for the credits you're supposed to get when you refer a friend, which just so happened to only hit my account after I was leaving for school. No one there was helpful, and I was getting spewed misinformation and due to the lack of communication from the very beginning, I was also unaware of a 12 month commitment . I would not recommend this gym to anyone just go to lifetime fitness.

Visited this gym for the second time with my partner to use their robo massage service which is…read morelocated in their spa. The gym it self is very old and out dated however it is kept very clean. It consists of one gym room with equipments with some workout rooms such as yoga class room, an indoor pool, and separate men and women dressing rooms. I would say if it wasn't for the robo massage service I probably wouldn't choose this gym location as my first option for a place to work out as there are far bigger and better gyms with more quality workout equipments.

The one I switched to has easier parking, easier 24 hour access, much more open space inside the gym, more machines, less oppressive music, for one tenth (1/10) the cost. Because of these factors (not easy to park, not easy to get 24 hour access, cramped space, minimal machines, heavy loud music, very wimpy infraed sauna, and very high cost) I cannot recommend Paradigm Gym.

Tried Diesel Fitness today because it is one of the few gyms that remained open through the ice…read morestorm. Read through previous reviews before going, so was interested in what to expect. I appreciated that when I arrived, I mentioned it was my first time in the gym and offered a very short, quick tour (less than ~3 minutes, which I very much appreciate as a lot of gyms spend too long with the tour and try hard to sell the place before you've even tried the equipment). The gym is solid with diversity in selection of equipment. I saw four power racks which is impressive for a gym of this size in the Uptown Dallas area (for reference, LA Fitness in Uptown is at least 5x the size and only has two racks), but only saw one bench with a rack for bench press. The person who toured me also mentioned it's do whatever you like, so I assume they are flexible in what you use and how. Only thing to note/consider is the gym is fairly small. Although it's well set up and has good equipment, I went at 1pm on a Friday and all four racks were utilized so would be concerned going at prime times. Overall it was a good experience, I'll be looking forward to returning when need another gym or want the specialized equipment.

Small but nice workout place near where I work in Uptown off Oak Lawn Avenue. You can do training with him or workout on your own. Covered parking is under the building (pic included) and you can access the gym pretty much any time with a key FOB (pic also included). There's a fair amount of cardio equipment, weights (free & machine), kettle bells, etc. There are also 2 showers with restrooms so you can clean up if you're heading back to work. Not a typical chain gym and usually not very crowded, so I love it being close to my office.

Don't drop the equipment or use Super heavy weights because one of the Staff members will ask you to not disturb the spa next-door. The music sounds depressing and it's played through an intercom system. But it's the only full gym on the side of town. It closes a little too early. You are sharing with Hotel guest. That may not know what they're doing. So I only maybe recommend it. The few positives include: You can probably find the equipment you're looking for. It's not overly crowded, unless there's a convention of annoying people in town like yesterday. They keep it clean. Generally, I feel it's overpriced for the value. But again, it's the only one on the side of town So get a tour and figure out if it's for you.

It took me about a month to get enough response back from the manager to join. Once I joined I emailed several logistical follow up questions and have never received a response. As far as I know there is no email newsletter or online schedules. I went to one class so far and there was no one attending, I arrived right at the class time and the teacher was packing up because no one was there. Like I said, from an equipment standpoint, there is everything you need, it is not the top of the line, but everything seems pretty well-maintained and in working order. Access to the hotel pools is also a plus. But it does not feel friendly at all, you are kind of left alone to figure things out. I came from very communal gym membership environments so it is quite a change.
