Trophy is also a very good gym, this location is just the right size, is clean, and has good equipment. The staff are friendly and professional - Greyson, john, Gina, and the entire staff is friendly and warm. When I need help they are responsive. I've been to many gyms/trainers, from Los Angeles Equinox, to San Antonio Golds Gym, and Houston 24 hour fitness, but Trophy has really honed in on what makes a gym great and has fair pricing. You can do training with him or workout on your own. Covered parking is under the building (pic included) and you can access the gym pretty much any time with a key FOB (pic also included). There's a fair amount of cardio equipment, weights (free & machine), kettle bells, etc. There are also 2 showers with restrooms so you can clean up if you're heading back to work. Not a typical chain gym and usually not very crowded, so I love it being close to my office.

I was thrilled to come across C7 on a google search a few days ago! Brief backstory: I used to take…read moretrampoline/rebounder classes at Xtend Barre in Preston Hollow, but it closed during COVID. I was unable to find anything like that in Dallas, and Motiv Fitness (where I go in Houston) has not gotten to the DFW area. I was in Athleta and the associate told me she takes rebounder classes at the new Club Studio, but it requires a membership and classes are full. I figure maybe some other business has this by now, and sure enough, I found C7! I signed up for the morning class today, and with little traffic on a Saturday, it was only a 13 minute drive for me! I showed up early since I am a newbie, and the owner Shannon welcomed me and told me about her business and philosophy. Then she introduced me to instructor Lisa (what a great name!) who put me behind her spot so I could follow. The room was spacious and has a hidden door in the mirrored wall leading to a bathroom that was stocked with amenities. In the studio, each station was pre-set with numerous props, including a long resistance band with handles made of the same material instead of plastic (I had not seen that before), bala wrist weights and bala ring (10 lb), 3 lb and 5 lb dumbbells, a glider, a booty band, and a ball. We bounced to a fantastic playlist, with each cardio segment choreographed and repeated, then got off and on for different strength, core, and glute work using different props (and we were given options). The finale was running through as much of the combined choreographed cardio segments that we could in the last song. The energy was high, the community was very welcoming and encouraging, and no one laughed at my failed attempts to match choreography. I got a full body workout and was drenched in sweat (and was grateful the studio provided a towel which I had forgotten to bring). I stopped by a coffee shop on the way out of the area to get matcha, and told them I needed it iced because I took this class. A customer overheard me and asked, "Did you go to C7? I have been wanting to try it!" I will definitely return when I am back in Dallas!

Corey is an expert at fitness, and is able to tailor your workout based on your body type and goals. His passion for fitness radiates throughout the entire session with you, and always very motivating. The gym is beautiful and the training staff is amazing.... However, the owner, Taylor, is extremely…read moreunprofessional, shady, and disrespectful. I signed up for personal training at what I understood was a flat rate. After learning about additional charges that were never explained to me when I signed up (80 dollar initial scan fee, 50 dollars a month for inbody scan, 3% processing charge, 80 dollar gym membership) I was very alarmed. I thought I was signing up for a flat rate of 640, but with the additional charges it ended up being 800 dollars a month - none of this was outlined in the contract I signed. When I asked him to send me the contract so I could verify the fees are not in the contract, he refused and said it was all explained verbally to me (which is 100% a lie and if it were true, it's unethical to charge customers based on 'verbal' agreements). He ended up not charging me for two months of the gym - which if it would have ended there I would have been completely fine and not feel the need to write this. I decided to complete my 3 month contract and after that I would not be able to financially support 800 a month and would no longer be signing up for additional months. When I informed Taylor I would be cancelling I received an e-mail with a notice of my cancellation and in the notes "Has been a pain in the a** since day 1" when I confronted him about this he said "oh it's just a jovial joke, you know", didn't apologize! and went on to belittle me saying I am the problem and he never has issues like this. I have never felt so disrespected and talked down to in my entire life. All I was trying to do was understand additional charges that were not in my contract nor communicated to me and instead of realizing there is a gap in his business model he shifts the blame to me "I've never had this problem with anyone but you". Just so disrespectful, I am extremely appalled. I would never ever recommend anyone doing business with Taylor. This is not how you treat someone paying you 800 dollars a month. And to anyone from the gym who is going to respond to this.... it isn't about the money, it's about being ethical with your contracts and how you treated me. Five stars for the gym, equipment, and my amazing trainer. Zero stars for the way they treat their customers.

Oak Cliff Pilates is where it all started for me, although back then OCP was located above a shop…read moreon Davis St. It's been fun watching OCP grow and expand to different locations. They are always offering free Pilates classes in local parks (Tietze park coming up in September). Check their IG to keep up on events. This new studio in uptown is so pretty. The color scheme is greens, golds and black. Being in the studio makes me feel like I'm in an old swanky Hollywood hotel. The thing I like most about OCP is that they are chill and not so structured as some of the corporate Pilates places around town. If you forget your grip socks, no problem! The classes and the instructors are always great. They have specials often, especially for new members, and it seems like most memberships give you access to both studios. Classes are booked on the OCP app. I haven't had problems with parking at the uptown location, but they do validate if you need to park in the garage. There are so many classes offered each day and different types of Pilates from jumpboard to stretching. There is truly something for everyone!
