An extremely bad experience. We were given menus in four different languages. The waiter requested we speak to him in Spanish as he did not understand anything but Spanish, Castellano to be exact.
For a party of 10 several plates obviously came out.
This wasn't the first time we've had tapas. I mentioned to the waiter a few plates were missing. He corrected me in saying he had checked everything out and it had come out previously. They had separated the plates except the ones missing. When asked why they don't separate them or make it clear when they arrive at the table the waiter said the kitchen was busy. Busy?! No. He stated we'd have to speak to the manager if we had a concern regarding how they served the food.
They use the same oil for french fries and the tortilla española as they cook their fish. Extremely disgusting.
When we first arrived we were told we should've made a reservation. The restaurant didn't appear to be busy. Also, for someone that's a foodie, I know when a restaurant should not serve any additional party. If they felt they weren't able to accommodate a large party they should have said so. There was a restaurant down the street we could've gone to.
I'm glad this wasn't our first or last restaurant stop in Madrid. We would've been quite disappointed.
Save your money and experience and go somewhere else.
If you decide to come here make sure your tapas are combined, literally. If two people ask for a tortilla española you'll get one. It's meant for both of you. read more
