We ordered breakfast from Joshua's kitchens for the first time. I ordered on the website thinking their employees would deliver my food. I later found out my order with Joshua's Kitchens was routed through 3rd party ordering service called TakeOut7 who has doordash go to the restaurant pick up the food and deliver to the customer. I was not informed up front of anything & I found this out by an email. Personal information with my name address credit card was given to OutDoor7 without my permission. I will never use Joshuas Kitchen again. I have the right to be informed and I would have said no to them read more

One of the worst breakfast experiences I have ever had. We searched Google reviews for a breakfast spot, but the reviews were very misleading. The food was inedible and appeared to have been reheated. The food wasn't very tasty, and even though we ate a little bit, our stomachs were upset afterwards . Our bill was 36 dollars (we paid just under $7 for an orange juice and a coffee ). Don't eat here!!! read more

Great food. Sweet and friendly staff. This place is a bit more traditional feeling and caters to the more mature folks of mulberry in comparison to the other local breakfast joint. However, its quaint and delicious none the less. My only complaint is sometimes the food takes longer than it should. But, i didn't have to cook it so I am rarely upset by the wait. read more

I'm not sure why this place has so many bad reviews. We stopped in during the lunch hour on a Saturday. We were seated quickly, placed our order quickly, drinks came and food came out in no time. Staff were friendly, too! My husband ordered the bacon cheeseburger, which he said was really good! The Little had a grilled cheese and fries; she chowed the sandwich but left most of the fries... It was a LOT of food! I had the Sunshine Burger; it's a burger with your choice of veggie toppings, cheese if you want it (I did not) and the kicker is an egg on the burger cooked however you like. I love me some egg on a burger. Sunny side up for me! It was messy and gooey and delicious! We were pleased with everything! And as it happens, our server was a fellow Whovian; bonus! I have been here several times, but I think this morning was the worst. I have given them several chances and have come in with my family and other friends. I walked in this morning to so much noise! The waitresses were yelling at one another in an attempt to be coodinated and country music TV was playing. I was hungry so decided to go through with it. It didn't get better. All I wanted was ham and eggs. Simple, but it took 30 minutes. They kept asking me if I wanted more coffee like they couldn't tell my cup was full already. I would normally chalk something like this up to a bad day, but it was like this the last time I was there as well. The only reason for the stars was the food actually tasted good! Service? Come for breakfast, stay until lunch time waiting for your food! Tried Joshua's for the very first time today, and after our experience, we will not be back. We sat down and after having 3 different waitresses tell us that they "would be right with us", finally were able to order drinks 20 minutes after being seated. The staff seemed totally disorganized and without leadership from anyone. We were able to place our order and then, well then the waiting began. We waited over an hour for breakfast, eggs hashbrowns and bacon. The owner appeared about 30 minutes into our wait, coffee pots in hand refilling coffee's around the restaurant without seeming to care that everyone was waiting an extremely long time on food. Instead of being in the kitchen helping his staff out, he was spending his time talking to regulars. Having been in the restaurant business myself for many years, this utter lack of realization that every single person in his restaurant was upset is a sure sign that this place shouldn't survive. Our food arrived, 1 hour and 15 minutes after we ordered it, and surprisingly was very good. Although considering the amount of time it took to prepare, it wasn't THAT good. Suffice it to say that Joshua's Kitchen is a train wreck, steer clear of this place, there's several local restaurants right down the road, Dona Julia's & Dwayne's place immediately come to mind, that are run by competent individuals that deserve to be in the restaurant business. All told, Joshua's Kitchen doesn't deserve a place on your local eats list, the service is horrible and the owner doesn't seem to care, spend your money elsewhere. read more

When we were there were a total of two tables ( 4 top and a 6 top) and us ( 2 top). We ordered two meals- an all you can eat spaghetti plate and a patty melt medium rare. It took over 1/2 hr to get our food. The spaghetti wasn't hot- but flavor was okay. There were a lot of mushrooms, which the waitress did not tell us were in the sauce. The patty melt was WELL, WELL done and dry and had subpar hamburger meat. The waitress forgot my side and did not come back for a while so by the time we were done- it was too late. I told her she forgot and she just asked if I wanted it to go- which took another 10 min to get- no apology. We ordered two waters with lemon and the water was EXTREMELY chlorinated. I have lived in the city for many years- I get chlorinated water- but WOW- yuck! Would not be coming back here again. read more

A little bit of a wait for food but not too bad. The place was full when we arrived but we still only waited about 10-15 minutes for our food. Food was delicious and my son ended up eating half of mine and some of my wives too! Wait staff was friendly and courteous. They may need an extra server or two to speed things up when guests arrive but overall this was a good experience. We will be back for sure. read more

The food was good, not spectacular, but good, and we didn't wait too long before we got it. The food was nice and hot and were really large portions. Zero rating is not enough. They take a long time to get food to your table and they make crazy excuses on why it is so late coming out. The wait staff stand and talk behind the counter while you try to get their attention for refills. I do not recommend here at all. read more

My husband and I ate at Joshua's Kitchen this morning. I was so amazed at the simple country beauty of the place. We were seated pleasantly, welcomed, offered a choice of beverage while we looked at the menus. I have traveled quite a bit, all around the US as well as several other countries. I have eaten at chain restaurants, fast foods, and many "local diners" and this was very different. The service was very nice, pleasant, efficient, helpful, quick, but it was the atmosphere that touched me! Encouraging sayings were stenciled over the walls... Very uplifting! The tables were super clean- like your own home. That is actually pretty rare. The food was yummy and the wait staff very thoughtful and kind. Really a refreshing experience. I have found a remarkable new favorite place to visit. read more

I came to the restaurant with my family. My brother goes to the local high school and said the place was relatively popular so we decided to drop by for breakfast. I was immediately unenthused. There was a blackboard with almost anti-gay bible quotes written across the board they had behind the register. I suppose it might be their southern, Christian upbringing but things like beliefs and politics should stay out of a small business as it could instantly turn people off. I disregarded it as we sat down and were greeted nonchalantly by our lackluster waitress. After becoming impatient with us, she went into the kitchen with our order and was not seen for half an hour. When the food finally did arrive, it was by far the most unimpressive breakfast I've had in my life. I say this as a person that eats a lot of bland cereal. In any case the egg was definitely not from a chicken, the sausage was undercooked the hash browns were crushed to mush. And so, I have never gone back to the bigoted, rude waitressed, restaurant. I don't even know if it was worthy of being called a restaurant. I don't think people have a desire to sit down to be treated terribly and fed trash. read more

I waited 52 minutes for a rueben sandich while the management stood behind the bar and drank coffee. I took my complaint to their facebook page and the owners father challenged me to a war of words and even telling me to "try him" I will never be back to this place. We hadn't been here in some time and won't return. We ordered breakfast, and it was more than 30 minutes to get our eggs and hash browns, in a half empty restaurant. Our server told us there had been "a catastrophe in the kitchen." Little did we know the "catastrophe" would be served to us. My trash browns were greasy and devoid of warmth, vegetables and taste. It's what you would imagine a home town diner to be. All the servers are locals and most everyone in the restaurant lives within a ten mile radius. It's located in the same area as a Publix and I've been a couple of times from a home cooked breakfast, it's fast, easy and relatively cheap. read more

I dropped in for the all you can eat fish for the first time. I ordered the catfish blackened with fries, grits and ice tea. The fish came out and I asked the waitress if it was blackened because it didn't look like it was. Very little seasoning on the fish for it to be blacken. No real problem I told myself, but when I opened the napkin the silverware was wrapped up in, I found a dirty fork. I walked up to the counter and asked for some clean silverware. The girl gave me another set wrapped up in a napkin. I walked back to my booth and unwrapped the clean silverware which turned out to be dirty. I was upset, but kept it to myself and cleaned the fork with my napkin dipped in the tea. The grits I asked for when I made my order didn't arrive with the plate. It showed up later, but it was coleslaw not grits. I didn't notice it at the time. When the waitress came to my table to ask if I was ready for more fish. I told her the story and she said she would take care of it which I took to mean that she was going to write it off. The meal cost $11.99. I left $12.00 on the table and walked out. Happy we found them. We went for their all you can eat Friday fish fry and have been going back ever since. We found it very charming, Family friendly and everything is wonderful.
