Our server was spot on despite how busy it was on a Friday night. She had multiple tables that were large parties. And she handled it with ease. Unfortunately I'm a terrible Yelper, I got her name from her as she did introduce herself when she was getting our drink our. But I was so focused on nailing down 2-3 wing sauces that I wanted. Well I actually wanted about 6. We ordered 50 wings for b the table, we all hate a variety of taste buds or lack of them, and two of us have epigastric ulcers. Doesn't hold me back, I don't mind paying the price for some epically spicy wings. My dad is 71 and didn't want to go beyond a 2-3 in the heat factor...then he picks a 4 & 5. Had to slow his roll so I could ensure he was going to make it they the meal and not be awake all night.
With 50 wings we were allowed a 2 way split and were informed if we wanted additional Flavours we had to pay $1.50 per flavour. We ultimately decided to split out wings with 25 garlic Parmesan breaded( level 1 or 2, I forget) , 15 Korean BBQ (level 2) and 10 Asian sun (level 4 or 5) the server described these as a sweet and spicy wing sauce that combined several sauces into one. Personally I felt they could use a little more heat. But the flavour was nice without the heat being so intense that it burned off your taste buds. I had other flavours I wanted to try but since it was on my dads dollar I cut the old guy a break and ordered a side of the mango habanero sauce ( I couldn't convince my family to get these wings)
Our food initially came out as just the 25 garlic Parmesan which didn't bother me at all. My old dad was pleased they didn't give him heartburn. ....me, I totally wanted to flair up my epigastric ulcers.
The garlic Parmesan wings were breaded and had a nice flavour to then, I'd have liked a little more garlic. But these were the perfect way to try out my side of mango habanero sauce. The wings are labels on a 1-5 level according to scoville heat level.
For the non adventurous eaters, spicy food is rated according to the "scoville heat level"
The ranges of Scoville Heat Units typically used to call a pepper mild, medium, hot, or extra hot are:
Mild (100 to 2,500)
Medium (2,500 to 30,000)
Hot (30,000 to 100,000)
Extra Hot (100,000 to 300,000+)
Here's a glance at heat levels for some popular hot peppers, according to the Scoville scale:
Habanero Extra Hot (100,000 to 300,000)
Tabasco Hot (30,000 to 50,000)
Cayenne Hot (30,000 to 50,000)
Jalapeño Medium (2,500 to 5,000)
Poblano (Ancho) Mild (1,000 to 2,000)
The garlic Parmesan in my opinion had zero heat to them. I dipped them in my mango habanero sauce and they were quite tasty in it. My stepmom also ordered a side of medium buffalo sauce. Which was a traditional buffalo sauce and mediocre in heat to my pallet.
I'm an Uber fan of Korean BBQ, especially Bulgogi. I am blessed to have friends from a wide range of cultures so they make me homemade meals pretty frequently. As a foodie this is a blessing and a curse. Once you've had the real deal that is a recipe passed down from generation to generation, it's very difficult to go out to eat and not judge food based on the homemade food that you get.
Don't expect End Zone to give you any sides with your wings, despite the size of the order. We ordered 50 wings which was around $55. We had to purchase Á la carte, celery, dressings and sauces and chips (fries) or crisps. They do have a variety of chips from plain potato chips, seasoned curly fries, sweet potato chips, Tater tots, onion rings, a side salad, mac and cheese or seasonal veggies (oops put on the brakes, double checked the menu and they DO NOT offer a seasonal vegitable) I'd highly suggest adding veggies as an option to the menu! As everyone in our group preferred a healthy side such as veggies. The table next to us also asked about a vegetable option besides potatoes and both tables were told a "side salad" was the only non potatoes option. Mind you Their version of a side salad isn't for the health conscious. Although I will give them props for using "mixed greens" instead of iceberg lettuce.
The Asian sun were definitely my favourite and were even better dipped my in the mango habanero sauce. read more
