Apple Lounge & Grill has some of the best wings in Polk County. We started with the fried pickle spears, but the real stars are the wings--crispy, saucy, and paired with a house-made dill ranch that doesn't miss. We tried the Mango Wango along with the garlic parmesan/medium buffalo combo, and both were excellent. Wednesday's $1 wing special is hard to beat. Good drinks, plenty of dartboards and pool tables, and an overall fun hangout spot. Only downside is that smoking is allowed inside the lounge. If that's an issue for you, I'd recommend calling your order in and grabbing it to-go. Our sever also addressed us by name and kept up with our drinks for the evening. read more

The wings were decent, but they weren't anything special about them. They honestly just felt like regular fried wings, and were a bit dry. The homemade blue cheese dip was delicious, definitely the most impressive part of the meal. read more

First visit was great. Tried here based on recommendations on a neighborhood site. Invited two other couples and it was their first visit also. It is a dive bar with great food and good service. The smell of smoke permeates the place, if you can deal with that you'll be ok! Everyone's food was very good. The wings were excellent. The onion rings and fried green tomatoes were amazing. My boyfriend and I have been to 100's of bars/dart venues with barely any problems. Maybe some taunting here or there..but nothing crazy. Tonight we decided to drive an hour away to support 1 of our friends and his blind draw tournament. And I'm going to be honest about 85% of our time here was enjoyable and problem free. The food was great, the staff were friendly, and MOST of the customers were good company. I had a very drunk gentleman approach me barely able to stand up and was later found falling asleep at his table..and he was nice, just drunk..very complimentary of my dart game which is always nice to hear! No big deal..this stuff happens all the time but 1st out of the ordinary instance (mind you this is 6:45 pm when we 1st got there) People. This is the year 2023, not 1920. Brandon and I were playing in the losers bracket of the tournament when 2 boards down a belligerent male said not once, but twice the N word at the top of his lungs for the whole bar to hear. (To be honest I couldn't even tell you the sentence or phrase he used because he was that drunk and hard to understand). My boyfriend..(maybe not in the best way) but expressed that he wasn't okay with that word. This then triggered this man to say it over and over again..then point his finger at my boyfriend and say "F*ck you and.." again mumbled something. My boyfriend then approached this man. They exchanged heated words and the man then took a swing at my boyfriend attempting to hit him in the face. Thankfully he was drunk and missed. People then got in between and separated them. The bouncer (mind you VERY professional, nice, and unbiased) took my boyfriend outside to go over security footage of the incident. Which he then found my boyfriend's version of the story correct and walked to this other gentleman to ask him to leave (mind you this is 1 of their regulars). At this point..the OWNER now pulls my boyfriend and I aside..reaches for his wallet and pulls out a $100 bill and is paying us to leave his bar so he doesn't have to kick his racist regular/friend out. At this point we both didn't want to be there, accepted the money and left. The point of my story is..we will not sit back and continue to let these kind of situations unfold. I have family, and people near and dear to my heart who are black. This language isn't okay, and never will be okay. The amount of people in that bar who backed him up and made excuses for him like "it's just the way he was raised" or "we're used to it at this point, he says it all the time" was absolutely sickening. And YOU ALL are part of the problem. I will not continue to support these people, establishments, or companies that allow this type of behavior to go unpunished and brushed under the rug. These from just this night include 401 Dartz and Apple Bar Lounge and Grill in Winter Haven FL. If you took the time to read this far, I appreciate you. And hope you understand where we are coming from at this time. Thank you. ***Update*** The owner has since reached out to me (the bouncer in this story) and stated that the gentleman who paid us $100 is most definitely not an owner of his establishment no matter what he told us. And that none would "bribe" us to leave, and do not condone violence in his bar. I believe him as he was the good in this situation. He also stated that the guy who threw the punch was asked to leave and barred for 30 days. read more

A Smokey local dive bar where most patrons are obviously frequent guests. I would eat in but I have to take a shower when I get home because I can't handle the cigarette smoke that clings to my hair and clothes. The food is really good and the have nightly activities like bingo, darts etc. I generally order by phone and pickup in the drive through, not kidding! read more

Overall good experience. Really good bar food. The place has been remodeled but my only complaint is it is a little cramped in the seating area. Staff was very nice and friendly. I ordered the chicken fingers with honey mustard and BBQ. They were very tender and a generous portion. Overall fun place. read more

Tried this place for the first time today. We passed by it every week not really noticing it. Then we read on a food review that they have terrific wings ..... So we tried the garlic parm flavor and also their "big ole BLT" sandwich. The wings were phenomenal. They were just the way I like them, crispy and flavorful without being greasy and dripping in sauce. The BLT was huge. Everything was super fresh and was picture perfect! Sorry guys, I was so hungry it didn't cross my mind to take a picture before digging in. So give this place a try. They have indoor dining or curbside pick up. Let me know what ya think. read more

I come here all the time to get the wings I'm not a big drinker but (loved) the wings! They just hired a new bartender and a new young cook and every time I get them now they are way to overcooked and to beat it all one of the waiter didn't like the tip I left him so he turn around and called me a peace of shit with his backed turn to me.
