Had brunch at Sauvage in Winter Haven and thought it was such a cute spot. The space gives off all the girly, brunchy, Instaworthy vibes you'd want--it's absolutely adorable. Service was... okay. A bit on the "too relaxed" side, which almost came across as unfriendly. To be fair, I was already in a mood from something personal before I walked in, so maybe that energy carried over, but still worth noting. Food-wise, it was decent--nothing mind-blowing, but good enough that I'd definitely come back when in the area. The loco moco burger was basically an ordinary burger, though the gravy added an interesting twist. Not sure I'd reorder it. I really enjoyed the French toast--the grilled pineapple on top was disappointingly dry, but the syrup helped and overall I'd get that again. The millionaire bacon sounded much more exciting on the menu than it tasted--pretty basic in execution. What I do love is how creative their menu reads; it makes you want to try everything. That's why I feel like I need to come back and sample more dishes to really get the full experience. I had an excellent first experience with Sauvage for lunch. I chose to sit outside in their covered concourse. Service was slow to start but once ordered was out quickly. I had an espresso and coffee afogato while I waited for their wonderfully delicious blueberry-beet salad. I can't express it's deliciousness. This place was pretty chill. I was confused by the seat yourself and order from the bar sign. I thought I would have to get my own drinks at the bar all night but that wasn't the case. We sat there for a while waiting for someone to assist us and our server was very helpful. The fries were so good and I would definitely order them again. I had the tuna bowl which was also pretty good. My friend enjoyed the chicken and the nachos. My drinks were pretty good, but I didn't love the mule my friend ordered. We had a good time. It felt more like a bar than restaurant. The DJ was pretty good. read more

This place is amazing! Our bartender Jess was fantastic! So sweet and makes a mean drink. The drink menu is on par with any fancy cocktail bar I've been to. And I've been to a lot! lol. First time here yesterday and I will definitely be back! It is exactly what I imagined it would look like and the vibe was so laid back and eclectic. Seating was comfortable and chic. My husband and best friend shared four plates, all were delicious. We really loved the pew pew shrimp and little piggy tacos. The drinks were a refreshing surprise from the usual cocktails we normally have. I had the "In True Haven Fashion", and I really enjoyed the brown butter wash bourbon. My husband had the "Out of Office" and I had a taste; I was super surprised to find I liked it! I don't normally like coconut! Server/Bartender was very attentive but not hovering. I love the music too! I would love to go on a Friday or Saturday night to see and hear the DJ they have. I would say go go go go! if you haven't yet. read more

The popular Dubai chocolate espresso martini was fun with a beautiful presentation! Very sweet so I would only be able to drink one. The boujee tots were delicious and they didn't skimp on the amount of caviar on top. Our first time trying this new restaurant and it was absolutely amazing! We tried the Kilauea Nachos & General Tso chicken tacos. Everything was delicious!! Service was great! Drinks are the star here, but the food and vibe fall a little short. Sauvage is more of a bar with a kitchen than a full restaurant. The cocktails? Excellent. Fresh juices, creative recipes, and a lot of thought go into every glass! 5 out of 5 for drinks, no question. The food, though, was underwhelming. We had the tots with a poached egg, gravy, and bacon, so interesting idea, but it lacked flavor and wasn't hot. Same with the "hot chicken" croissant, which was neither hot nor spicy. Grits were cold and lumpy, even after trying to fix them up at the table with some water. Prices are fair for drinks but feel high for the food quality. The ambiance was okay, upbeat music helps, but the space feels flat. A looping video of random city scenes didn't add much to the experience or seem to fit their name! Service was friendly but chaotic. Drinks took around 15 minutes (not bad for craft drinks) , but food took even longer. There's no table service, you fill out a card and take it to the bar. Bottom line: Great place to grab a drink and have a laid-back convo, especially for a casual meet-up or first date. But once you're ready for better food or a livelier vibe, it's probably time to move on. read more

We came for the first time on a First Friday. It was advertised as one of the locations to visit and the menu looked good so my husband and I agreed to give it a chance. First: there is a sign outside that says to seat yourself and order at the bar. Which is fine. We sat ourselves at the first table we saw and once we decided what we wanted, my husband went to the bar to place our order. The bartender acted as if we weren't supposed to order at the bar and also got weird looks from other employees at the end of the bar. When he asked if he could order, the bartender went to grab what I assume was the manager to put our order in. The food comes out whenever it's ready, meaning that if your entree is done before your appetizer, it comes out first. My husband got his entree before I got an appetizer or an entree. Whatever. Not the end of the world. The condiments come out in little jars but they aren't sealed and have clearly been opened. The sticker was ripped open signaling that the jar had been opened. How do I know someone didn't use this already and double dip? That's kind of gross. Not one single person came to check on us our entire meal. Someone brought us waters but didn't even speak to us. Even the table next to us asked a staff member if they could place an order and the staff member went to get (again) what I assume was the manager to place their order. When we were ready to pay, my husband placed his wallet and card on the table to signal that we wanted the check. Again, no one came over and we sat there for 10-15 mins like that. Finally he went back up to the bar to pay. That's when the manager came back over for the first time since dropping our food off to ask if we needed anything. I told her that we were ready to pay and leave and that got our bill taken care of. Overall, the food was just okay. The drinks were good but I wouldn't be back. There was absolutely no service. We both work in the service industry and are very forgiving when it comes to poor service. The fact of the matter is that there was NO service so we couldn't even forgive that. read more

The service was great and the staff were very welcoming. The food was actually really good, although a little of the pricey side for some items. My gf got the tenders with fries and I got the chicken sandwhich with fries and I have to say, that was the crispiest fries and chicken I've had, so good. The house made ranch was awesome too, but the real star of the night was the drinks, especially the medicated Mai tai for two. All 3 came to the table at the wrong temps. One went back and again came out at the wrong temp. My wife and I had been searching for an upscale brunch spot in the Winter Haven community and Sauvage absolutely delivered. Serving classic dishes with unexpected twists in each pairing, that did not disappoint. We arrived around 11am as they are a first come first serve Sunday brunch destination. Upon first entering, the restaurant had an eclectic atmosphere. Think art deco meets modern, with a twist of tropical colors. We were greeted by the bar manager who told us to sit where we would like and immediately brought us water and took our drink order. My wife ordered the Espresso Martini while I had the Winter Haven Old Fashioned. She said that the Espresso Martini was well done and I found the Old Fashioned to be good as well. It was also visually appealing having been garnished with a slice of bacon and a maraschino cherry that I was hesitant to eat but had a nice flavor after soaking in bourbon and sugar. We looked over the menu as we sipped our cocktails and decided we had to try a few things. Firstly, The Loaded Brunch tots were amazing....the tots were perfectly fried with a crisp exterior, the over easy egg yolk combining with sriracha sour cream was a beautiful balance to the salty fried tots. The Hawaiian Skillet was my personal favorite entree of the meal. Island sauce drizzled on pan fried spam and an over easy egg topped in a skillet of pineapple fried rice. Each bite made my eyes roll back from the umami that this dish packed. The final stop on our table tour concluded with the Gochujang Hot Honey Chicken and Waffle. While my wife and I found the waffle to be very well done I found that the chicken could have been served with a little more sauce. However, that may just be a comment of personal preference for the taste was good. All in all, 4.5/5 for the delicious food, friendly atmosphere, and the intoxicating experience provided from start to finish. read more

I had been wanting to try Sauvage on Central Ave. Being it's my birthday month we decided to go this past Saturday night 6/21/25 Upon arriving at the restaurant there is no one to greet you and unless you read the sign outside of the restaurant you need to ask someone what to do. I asked the bartender if we can just sit anywhere and he said sit anywhere you want. So we sat at the bar (counter was still full of plates from previous guest) he cleaned them and asked if we wanted water. Later comes by I wanted a suggestion for a cocktail with tequila and not too sweet. He said than "have a shot of tequila" I said no I want a cocktail not a shot. I order my drink and he never came back to check on us. After sitting there for 20 minutes, we flagged down another person behind the bar to order our food and she disappeared (never saw her again the rest of the night) In the meantime our bartender still never came by to see if wanted another drink. Our appetizer came out without no plates or silverware. I asked for plates and silverware and a runner came by dropped off a napkin, fork and a plate and ran back to the kitchen area. I couldn't get our bartender's attention so I actually got up and walked towards the back of the restaurant and asked someone for a knife, an extra napkin and drinks. Another runner came by with a couple knives and napkin and ran back. Finally the gentleman I had asked for service came by to take our drink order. He told us they only had one bartender and very low staff working behind the kitchen. Turns out he was the assistant manager and was putting fires out all night. What I don't understand is WHY on a Saturday night would they be so understaffed, being it's one of the busiest nights of the week! Looking around the restaurant tables were still with plates from previous guest that were walking out as we were coming in. I just couldn't believe what I was seeing. Needless to say I will not be revisiting Sauvage. A big shout out to Isaac the assistant manager for his help and making a better drink than Chris the bartender! Oh wait!!! If you need to use a restroom you need to leave Sauvage and go to the wine bar down the street. SMH read more

I went here for brunch with my mother recently, and it was an overall great experience. We sat in the outside seating area, and while it was sunny the umbrellas kept things sufficiently cool. The food was great, I ordered an interesting twist on a breakfast-style burger that I thoroughly enjoyed. The owner was there with her husband that day, the latter of which actually cooked the food and did a great job. At one point the owner came out to check on how things were going, and she was very pleasant. The service was great, and while I forget our waitress's name at this time, she was very attentive and got everything right on our order; I have an allergy and it's paramount that I avoid certain foods and the restaurant was able to accommodate that with no issue whatsoever. We stumbled into Sauvage on a whim, and I'm so glad we did. From the moment we sat at the bar, Christopher and Erin made us feel like VIPs. They worked that bar, and I've been in many, they were flowing with energy and it was like they had been doing this together for years. I wish we had asked them if they had been working together for a long time because it felt like it. Christopher was knowledgeable and Erin made our whole group feel welcomed and engaged, they were both efficient amd incredibly fun. The cocktails were next level, I mean outstandingly good, but it was the time and the atmosphere that made the night. We ended up spending and staying more than we planned, but we loved every minute andd worth every dollar. Highly recommend grabbing a seat at the bar! Came in last week and we sat at the bar, we love the decor of the place felt very comfortable and city like, we were greeted by erin, she took our order and made our first drinks which were delicious, another bartender came by later and checked on us and took our food order, I think his name was christian? He made me an old fashioned that was fantastic and then we ordered a Dubai Espresso Martini from erin which was absolutely delicious and we will be back for that drink again!
