This was our regular place for wings until tonight. They've changed the menu & most importantly the wings. The sauce is horrible. They say it's butter based & soaks into the wings. It tastes like artificial popcorn flavoring. Just awful. I am disappointed to say that after visiting this place nearly every week for several years, we will not be back. Let me tell you something. I visited this Hooters in the past and it has been great no issues. This past Sunday I take my brand new Indian Challenger for a ride and I got hungry. So I went to Hooters on 98 North Lakeland in Florida. Everything was fine in till Kaitlin enter the mix. I never forget a face and I quickly remembered Kaitlin from Two Peeks down the road which is not a good place to eat and have a good time. Kaitlin is very rude to customers and does not make them feel welcomed. She did the same piss pour customer service at Twin Peaks. I like to hang and have a good time. So the one bartender ( who I will leave nameless ) was great The whole time laughing and joking. That bartender leaves for about 10-15 minutes. I wanted a Ketel One on the rocks so I asked Kaitlin. She then poured a nice pour by the way. Everything was all good I had a wonderful weekend and I had a great month so I was looking to sprang money. Well the other bartender returned. I asked where was you I was looking to get another drink and you wasn't here. She said I was getting ready to leave because my shift is over. I was like no , then i make a joke and was like Kaitlin was taken junk about you. The other Nameless bartender turn around and laughed. But Kaitlin turned around and was like it wasn't funny don't pin bartender against bartender and we don't play that here. Mind you Kaitlin was playing and joking with everyone else but I said something then she gets nasty. I'm always show people respect and be kind to everyone. I wasn't going to argue or shame Kaitlin for her bad behavior. I come to have a good time and spend money. I did tell Manager and he was like oh no not again. That tells me all I need to know. Point being I know Kaitlin from working Twin Peaks RUDE and unprofessional!!! I will not be going to this Hooters again and spending my hard earn money. Shame because this Hooters was at one point popping. Servers like Kaitlin forgot it's about the customer being comfortable to be themselves and make money !! On Friday 4/4/25 I was at Hooters with friends are server was Donna & I must say from the get go she was very, very, RUDE to everyone at our table to the point the manager was called & neither one were very professional, she took her time getting our order, bringing our order & drinks & when we got our meal every order had an issue, cold, something missing, cold rubbery fries, old Lettuce, an issue with every meal. The management took her side & also was very RUDE, besides the food issue which wasn't very good Donna took for ever to check us out & we asked her why so long to check us out her answer was RUDE & said it'll take another 15 min, again some had issue with they're bill, when we finally got it. As far as going there again none will ever go there again. That's why Hooters is going under cus they have unprofessional people working for them. Stopped in on the way down from Tampa airport. Place is right off the highway with plenty of parking. Found seats at the bar right away. Plenty of beer options and tvs drink and watch. The service overall was good. I ordered some Daytona wings which were excellent and came out nice and hot. Overall a nice spot for a beer and a game. read more

Hooters used to be the best wings. Not at this location. We stopped by and they weren't busy. Service was good and friendly. Drinks came out quickly. I had traditional buffalo wings. They were mushy and undercooked. I also got the new smoked wings. Where was the smoke. My friend got the Daytona wings and his were not finished on the grill. All the wings were undercooked and very disappointing. This is a management issue. read more

When we got here, hand sanitizer was at the door, with signs to use it and keep masks on except when eating/drinking. First table had a draft. Booth by the window was better with a nice view. Our waitress was Brittany. Husband wanted wings. We were in the area, so husband got wings. I got the double burgers on Texas Toast. Brittany requested that they be cooked medium, since well done is a crime and how they usually cook them. She also let me substitute coleslaw for fries (fewer calories, and since it is a cheaper side item, I hoped there would be no up charge). The food was excellent! My hamburger was medium. It was so juicy and flavorful that I only had lettuce and cheese on it. I skipped my usual mayonnaise. The cole slaw was also perfect - juicy and sweet. Husband was satisfied with his wings - exactly as he expected. Brittany was an excellent waitress, checking in several times (before, during, after) to be sure we had what we needed & wanted. The worse part of our dining experience was the loud music. We liked it, but it was so loud that we couldn't carry on a normal volume conversation. I was at Hooters Friday the 4th of April. I will never go back. the waitress was so rude to us. even before we sat down. I think her name was Donna. we waited forever for food and when it came out almost all orders were messed up. The food was awful. cold and nasty. The so called manager was even trying to instigate a fight with other customers. It was a horrible experience. Never again. I wish I didn't have to leave even 1 star. read more

Happened to be driving by the area and stopped in for some wings. Was really one of the best Hooters experiences I have had in a long time! Almost like true old days at hooters! Amazing and attentive service - fast, hot and fresh food. Decent specials are hard to find in the current economy, but was surprised to find $3 Blue Moon draft - also nice and cold! I just visited and this was absolutely the worst customer service experiences I have ever had at any Hooters. I've been to this Hooters many, many times. I usually stop on my way to or from Tampa from Orlando. This bartender (Kaitlyn I think), who was also a corporate trainer was absolutely horrible. If she's training anyone in your company you are in for a terrible future. Even the guy next to me couldn't believe her. I waited at least 10 minutes to be acknowledged and get a drink (I know this because I watched the last 10 minutes of a college basketball game while waiting!). I get this store has a lot of regulars. But if that's only where you want your revenue then continue to ignore casual customers. The guy next to me has also been there many times. He had been waiting to get her attention to get a menu before I even got there. Finally he got her attention. And she says, very rudely, it's under your arm in a QR code. His arm was covering a Drink menu! So he asked for a food menu. He was still waiting to order when I left. If she would spend less time making paper napkin hats for her regulars and chit chatting maybe she would have recognized others sitting at the bar without drinks. Or in my case who wanted to order food to eat there and also take a to-go order. If I do ever come back in there, whether she is working a bar or serving, I'll go somewhere else. We are a fan of Hooters but this was our first time at this location. Our server Cai, was absolutely amazing. Great service, great personality, and also so great with my daughter. I wish I had servers like her wherever I went. The food also tasted wonderful. And to top it off kids eat free on Sundays. Will be stopping back at this one when we take our Orlando trips. read more

Let me start by saying that my two stars are going to our waitress, Madi, who was awesome!! She was the only reason our experience here was slightly decent. We started off by waiting at the hostess stand for about 5 minutes before someone finally tried to seat us. There were plenty of tables around, but she wouldn't sit us at any of them and went to clean off dirty tables for us to be sat at. I would say it was about a 10 minute ordeal until we sat down. We opted to do the pitcher of beer and wings promotion they had going on and also ordered curly fries on the side. When we got our food, the wings were soggy (we asked for them extra crispy), and the curly fries tasted like they had just been sitting there for a while...luke warm, limp, and just plain gross. We told Madi about the fries and asked if they've changed them at all in the recent years, because they were just so bad. I liked that she was honest and to the point with agreeing that those fries suck and she recommended we get the big dipper fries, as the cooks actually spend time on making those fresh. She got us a couple orders for free for our table, which was really nice! Madi was also not wrong...the big dipper fries were probably the best thing we ate out of our entire meal. New smoked wings menu addition are delicious. The side salad was a bit wilty and not as fresh as I'd like. The cleanliness of this location leaves a lot of room for improvement. My wife and I walked in and the place was dead! There was food still sitting on tables, surprising! When we sat down our server was very nice and accommodating. I ordered the smokehouse wings hot with a side salad. I made it clear I wanted drums only with blue cheese dressing as my side! When we received our meal, My order was not drums only and the dressing was ranch. Fortunately our server was really good and let me grab a few of the wings while I waited for the new wings. My wife and I stopped in because Longhorn, next door, had an extended wait time. It has been awhile since we had been at this particular Hooters. I had a similar experience that Dwaine C. had. The breading was mooshy, wings under cooked, and not particularly palatable. The service was Ok, but our server seemed to not want to be there. The atmosphere was much less upbeat than my previous experiences. I will probably give this Hooters another chance in the future, we all have less than stellar days sometimes. read more

Limited drinks!!! Who knew?!?! (We have been there countless times, even pass the Hooter in south Lakeland to go here). Today a new waitress informed us that they [Hooters] have a drink limit rule. 2 pitchers of beer. We joined my brother and sister-in-law there as normal. We ordered a pitcher of beer and a round of Vegas Bombs, waitress informed us that only we (wife and I) could order beer, that the others reached their limit. And couldn't put more on that tab. We've all been there dozens of times, spent a lot of money there. Now, it's on the "no go" list. Hooters is known for beer, wings and waitress. They assured me it was no problem, but when the ordered arrived no cocktail sauce. I don't know if this is some generational thing where the service sucks and the people suck. Let me start by saying that the service must be THAT bad for me to take time out of my day to leave a review, so this is going to be a LONG one. We tried this place about 2 years ago and my husband and I got up and left after waiting 10 minutes for our server to greet us. Tonight, we were deciding on going to the Olive Garden or giving Hooters a second chance. My husband and I, along with our 9-month-old baby were seated promptly. The host sat us at a booth. The highchair did not match up with the booth, leaving our child's head to come below the table. There were smaller tables nearby that were available, so I don't understand why we weren't sat at a table. After waiting 5+ minutes for our server to come take our drink order, I got up and asked the hosts (who were ducking behind the host stand, scarfing down food) if we had been assigned a server yet. Immediately a server came over and we gave our entire order at once: 20 buffalo shrimp, 20 wings, served with ranch and blue cheese, and a side of fries with cheese sauce. The server informed us that they had a taller highchair that would allow us to see our baby's head above the table. Our experience was starting to turn around. However, we waited 30 minutes for our food to arrive. Our server had passed by our table multiple times, yet did not acknowledge the amount of time we were waiting for food or the fact that my husband's drink was empty. Our food finally arrives - without ranch dressing, no big deal, we just ask and wait again. The food was delicious. We ask for a box and our check. The server drops off a box and our check. We get out payment and wait.. and wait.. my husband goes to the bathroom and returns, and we wait some more. Finally, I ask a nearby server, if she could ask our server to come to our table. My husband and I have both served 10+ years in restaurants - serving, bartending and managing. Questions: #1 Why were the servers rotating the entire restaurant on a Friday holiday (NYE) lunch? They should be in sections. #2 Why wasn't there a manager floating the FOH, working the window, greeting guests, or just letting their presence be known in case guests needed help with service? Let me start by saying that my daughter normally LOVES Hooters wings. We have been to this location 4 times, and every time it has been a huge disappointment. Food is cold, we are charged the wrong price, the order is wrong, etc. There were 2 times the wings were so bad my daughter thew them away. That is really saying something. She will eat any kind of wing with any sauce, she loves, loves, loves wings. She didn't even eat one whole wing and tossed them each time. I spent $20 just on her meal to have it thrown away. We normally order to go to avoid wait times, and we were quoted 20 minutes one time and waited an hour and 15 minutes. The other orders or dine in experiences were still really slow but, not that slow. Won't go back to this location. Very disappointing!!! read more

Ok, can I start with saying that I'm generally NOT a fan of this chain? That said, I have an elderly father who is unfortunately loosing his facilities, and as silly as it may sound, he's wanted to go. So, I took him with Mom and my teen. The food is average bar food. However, the service was respectful, helped him get seated (he's wheelchair bound), and patient. When we ran into a challenge with the gift card we used, the manager (Allie) was extremely understanding and helpful. So, I'm assuming that anyone considering eating here already knows what the food and atmosphere are. Yep 1: The server was really nice. The food was hot and decent. Went in today with my 5 year old for lunch. Was very cold out 48. Got sat in a cold area and asked if there was a warmer spot. Got moved. Was all good until the air kicked in. Windy inside and 48 does not mix well. I complained multiple times and my server said she informed the manager who told her the he "had the heat on". After 20 Min and blue lips, she said "he said he does not know what is wrong with the AC unit". No discount, no coupon, no manager table visit and no apology for the visit.
