Oh my, where do I even begin?…read more Dr. Lemire is nothing short of a saint IMO, and I feel really lucky to have found her. I'm so grateful the one person I admired at the *ahem* previous dentist, is who recommended her, because I've never doubted my decision to move over to her. SHE is the one who talked me down from the ledge after being terrorized by a previous dentist. SHE is the one who gave me a reason to trust dentists again. SHE is the one who fixed all the work that other quack messed up. SHE is the one who saved his backside from getting reported. Maybe that last part isn't such a good thing necessarily, but it does show her diplomacy skills if nothing else. She, along with her staff - were just plain awesome to me and my boyfriend who also went there. They knew all about my life, my work, my likes and dislikes. They are like family there. The whole crew there is very symbiotic and peaceful with each other there, and it shows. Their office is cheerful and relaxed, and they always made me feel right at home. The only reason they're getting 4 stars instead of 5, is that she stopped using Nitrous Oxide. I think that's important for a dentist to have available for nervous wrecks like myself. Tho she is an absolute PRO at giving shots, and is very VERY sensitive to your pain, it's still kind of a deal killer to some, including one person I tried to recommend to her. It wasn't for me because we had already built up a trust factor, but going forward I would not visit any place that didn't offer this service. Another thing I don't view as a plus is that they still use amalgam (mercury) fillings, which I personally feel are dangerous. I would prefer a dentist that didn't use these at all. BUT again I have to emphasize - they are still wonderful people who genuinely care for their patients well-being and comfort. You will not go wrong with them, especially if you're one of those types who only needs the routine exam/cleaning. Dr. Lemire is nothing if not precise and downright finicky about getting things right. And did I mention gentle? Extreeeemely gentle. Her staff is 100% kind and attentive as well. I never felt rushed or stupid, even when I was being an absolute baby... lol I'm now on the other side of the country, and can honestly say I miss the heck out of everyone there at Dr Lemire's office. I was very fortunate to have them in care of my oral needs (and there were many!!) for the almost 7 years I saw them.

No one in my family or extended family has ever been in pain due to his work, and that's amazing to me! Most of his staff has been there for 30 or more years, so obviously they like working with him as well. After my daughter had two ankylosed teeth pulled by a local children's dentist, and it hurt her a lot, I switched her to Dr. Bettis. Yes, he's not an official children's dentist, but he was so gentle with the next two ankylosed teeth she needed pulled that she didn't even realize he had pulled them yet! His office interior is outdated and not necessarily color-coordinated like a lot of the newer offices. But that doesn't matter to me, because his dental work is excellent. I've encouraged many people who were terrified of the dentist, including my husband, to see him, and they are convinced that he's the gentlest, best dentist in town.

They have coffee available and tables you can sit at while you're waiting for your child to be attended to, instead of sitting along a line of chairs like you're waiting to be seen in the urgent care. They even have ipads in the waiting room and a fun mirror to keep the little ones occupied. I usually see the degrees of the doctors framed and on display when I first walk into a medical office which isn't the case here. For a second I wondered if this place was legit, until I saw her diploma and awards a little hidden in the room where we had a first consult. I assumed she didn't want to boast about her merits and show off how specialized she is with pediatrics dentistry (I probably would have :p). Dr. Pahls explained in detail what was going on with my little cousin and how she had to fix a dental job that was not done correctly. I informed her of our previous dentist & how I assumed the last dentist was constantly doing quick fixes but we always had problems arise. It was definitely cheaper every time we saw him, but in the long run ended up being more expensive because it wasn't fixing the main issue. As much as I am all about saving money, I understand that I can't compare Dr. Pahl's prices with a general dentist because she is specialized for a reason. Plus, how many dentists do you know who are so open to working with children with special needs. Not only does she accept them, she also has pictures of some of her patients with special needs up on her wall. You can tell everyone at this office works well as a team and I loved the high upbeat energetic feel of the clinic. I don't know why the other yelpers' experiences were different than mine but I'm definitely going to come back to Dr. Pahls in the future.

I've honestly never had an experience like this before…read more Our kids had dental appointments scheduled, and the office canceled them because we didn't reply to an automated text message. We were never told that not responding would automatically cancel the appointments, and when we asked about the policy, they couldn't provide any paperwork showing we'd ever been given or agreed to it. The really frustrating part is that my wife left work early and drove all the way from Medford to pick up our kids, only to find out the appointments had already been canceled. Nobody called us, left a voicemail, or even sent a text saying they had canceled them. I'm a healthcare provider myself, and I've never seen a practice cancel appointments just because someone didn't respond to a confirmation text. Reminder texts are one thing, but canceling an appointment without notifying the patient is another. We wasted time, lost work, and our kids missed the care they were supposed to receive because of poor communication.

The final stage was sending me home with excellent verbal instructions (repeated to me at least 3 times so I would remember) of what to do for sore gums, types of food to eat and avoid for the next few days, and if I needed an adjustment to call right away. I can honestly say my gums around the the crowns were tender, but not sore and I am so very pleased with the end results! It made me a little sad to think, I'd only see these wonderful people only 2 times a year. For me that is a first. Love my forever dentist and staff!
