First, I feel compelled to remind myself and others that just because I have been an adherent of the WIT (Whatever It Takes) method of customer service for many years, it does not mean all others are! The latest set of dentures have never fit well, and the suggested solution was to use an adhesive. In all the years of wearing prosthetic teeth, NEVER have I had to resort to gluing them in.

Requested an afternoon appointment in a month explaining that I live out of town and afternoon works best. I needed dentist appointment as well as dental hygienist. Unable to schedule both on the same day. Fine with me. So, mind you. I am new to them and yet, a few weeks later, they call me recalling I live out of town and they can now schedule both appointments in the afternoon on the same day. WOW! That was my first clue that I had chosen the right place. So, my appointment. I first meet with an assistant who takes great notes and is very friendly as well as warm. Then a full head of X-rays plus photos. Done very gently with care and concern for my comfort. (Did I say what a dental phobic person I am?) Then, dentist time. Dr. Umberger listened to the assistant's summary of me and my mouth. He also showed respect, consideration and great listening skills. He actually looked in my mouth, probed a bit and we made plans for my future dental care. The hygienist was gentle, knowledgeable and kind. Now for the next time, a filling replacement. That's a final test for all of us!

The people don't care about the patients. You will never get in for a cleaning either. They will give you an appointment 6mo out, then call the week before to reschedule for 6mo out over and over. They called and canceled multiple appointments I had scheduled due to never having anyone in the office able to perform a deep clean. This happened at least 4-5 times! Well because of the deep cleaning that took so long to finally have done they ruined a part of my gums. During the actual process of them removing the tartar from my teeth, tartar was pushed down further into my gums which over time irritated my gums and caused infection. This eventually lead to my gums receding and now I have to get a skin graft to fix the area that was damaged. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone as I feel like they really don't care about the patients and more about what benefits them.
