It's always a little sad... not just because I think Josh's snow cones are amazing, but also because it's yet another sign that summer is over (though don't get me wrong - fall is awesome too). However, I heard they may be testing out some new things other than snow cones (I think just the Brookside location?)? All I have to say is: if their snow cones are any indicator of other stuff they'll do, I'm willing to try. The worker in the shack was masked, and also notably friendly (something I didn't realize that I haven't come across as much in covid times until that moment, due to doing only takeout). I appreciated that. People are able to spread out from others while waiting in line (or even wait in their car for the line to die down). On one of my visits this year, I got peach, coconut, and blackberry. I thought it was cool that their specialty flavor at the time was Hamilton (peach, banana, and blackberry), which was basically what I got just with coconut instead of banana. I thought mine still worked for a Hamilton theme too though, so it made me happy!

The flavors always taste so fresh, and the employees are incredibly kind and welcoming. My personal favorite is the Ultimate Cookie and it definitely lives up to its name! It's so good and easily one of my favorite flavors. I also love the vibe of the shop. It's so vibrant, bright, and fun, and the atmosphere just makes you happy when you walk in. It's the kind of ice cream shop that becomes part of your memories. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in Tulsa!

Inside, the shop has a lot of cute seating areas, both indoors and outdoors. They also offer a fun variety of flavors. I ordered a small cup of the honeycomb lavender ice cream, which came with a free waffle chip. They also have cones, flavored cones, and other options if you want something a little more elaborate. The ice cream itself was very creamy and delicious. I would have loved to have some actual chunks of honeycomb mixed in, but the honeycomb flavor still came through nicely, and there was a swirl in the ice cream that added to it. Overall, it was a really delicious scoop and felt well worth it. I visited on a Thursday afternoon around 3:00 p.m., and it was already fairly busy with families, moms, and young kids. I imagine it gets even busier in the evenings, especially during the summer after dinner. Overall, it is a neighborhood-friendly spot with great ice cream and a fun neighborhood feel.

The candy toppings are pretty extensive, from Reese's to gummy worms and sprinkles. You can also add syrups and fruit toppings. They have 13 signature swirls including Route 66 (vanilla soft serve with strawberry, hot fudge, whip cream and cherry) and piña colada (pineapple whip soft serve blended with coconut cream and coconut pieces). I tried their pineapple whip in a waffle cone with chocolate syrup. My husband tried their vanilla big boy cup ($6) with Reese's and butterfinger. They have shakes available in chocolate, vanilla or strawberry. They also have affogato and coke/root beer floats. There was a huge line when we got there but it went through pretty quickly. They have a good system to order and pick up on different sides. There's a big table outside but no seating available. Great addition to the neighborhood!

The Raspberry Whip originally has Pineapple Whip in it, of course it wasn't available & it didn't stop me from having vanilla instead & it was super super good. Enough raspberry purée to make it feel as if the soft serve was raspberry itself. Plenty of graham crackers. The swirl came in a good size cup. The lady who took my order was super nice & patient as it was coming off that I was ordering two separate things due to me not playing close attention to the Signature Swirls to begin with. I am not from Oklahoma but I came on vacation and looking at homes to rent/buy because I plan on moving out here eventually. My amazing hotel was nearby and when I walked to nearby Casey's, I saw the stand. I actually saw the stand 3 years ago but it was under a different name though I can't really recall what the name was(I could be wrong though). This time around I decided to give it a try, the weather was hot and humid, I can't believe how hot it gets in Oklahoma and I wanted something to cool off. The first time I arrived it was too early, wasn't open yet. Second time I arrived, there was a sign on the door saying they will be back in 15 minutes. I came back an hour later and still wasn't open :( After that I was a little busy sightseeing and never got around to coming back to try one. Although I didn't get to experience what a snow cone from Josh's would be like, it's ok. My review still stands as 5 stars because I know in my heart it would have been an amazing snow-cone. The menu is cute and the flavors sound great and it seems like such a great experience to just come by, sit on the bench outside and enjoy a snow-cone. I do plan on coming back to Oklahoma again soon, maybe permanently one day so I am undeterred, I will not give up and try and get a nice refreshment from here! Thank you!

I also love that they support Christian ministry as well so for every treat that you purchase, they contribute a portion to Christian ministries and great causes. The service was great.
