After trying to fix it myself and calling several contractors, 919-Tile clearly stood out because of their knowledge and professionalism. They arrived on time, communicated well, explained why the issue was happening, and got straight to work. Within about three hours, the repair was completed, the area was cleaned, and they even fixed our shower glass door that had been scraping the step--above and beyond. A few weeks later, a small section started separating again. I texted them a photo, and they responded immediately and scheduled a follow-up with no hassle. If you need tile work or expert advice, I highly recommend 919-Tile. I'll definitely use them again.

I hired this company based on my realtor's recommendation. I wish I had read the reviews prior to…read morehiring them. They do not like small jobs (minimum job cost $500) and will try to upsell the bigger job more than once. Unfortunately, the grout was more mismatched than discussed. (The house is 1.5 years old and I didn't need the entire bathroom floor cleaned and resealed--just one cracked tile and 2 feet of linear grout). I was NEVER informed that the grout would be ALMOND color next to light gray. What was discussed was that they had a close, but not EXACT match. Technician ASSURED me this was an "easy 15 minute fix" and he would make it right. The manager RE-PROPOSED the bigger, more expensive job ONCE AGAIN. Sad that this company would rather have a negative customer review than make things right, as was promised by their worker.

They did fine on the caulking although I did have to ask the guy to redo it because initially it didn't look good. Second time around was much better. The real problem was with the grout cleaning. I have posted before and after photos. Can you tell which ones are before and which are after? Me neither. Apparently the steam cleaning method they use is not effective on all types of grout. So why did they even take the job? If they couldn't tell beforehand that it wouldn't be effective, why didn't the guy stop after he had started and let me know it wasn't working? Then after I called up the estimator to let him know the cleaning wasn't effective, he just blew me off and said well you can't expect it to look new. This company is unprofessional and takes no pride in their work. Do not hire them under any circumstances, they are basically a scam.

Roman Karpenko provided a detailed written estimate for required materials and a separate cost for labor. We've done a lot of renovations in the last 40 years and I can tell you that his prices were EXTREMELY reasonable. So much so, that we were curious as to the level of workmanship we would see. We were not disappointed. In six days, Roman transformed the tiled walls, added a niche and two safety grab bars. Then he touched up the paint around the shower. He showed up when he said he would, he worked steadily and quietly, he communicated as necessary. We will very likely hire him for future projects.

He came by next day about fifteen minutes early. He covered up my doorbell and front light and hooked up to my water spigot. I thought they brought their own water like mobile detailers, but no. They don't. The job took close to an hour. Not a bad guy, got the whole place, and we laughed about this and that. He left my front porch mats on the front lawn and was gonna just abandon them there, so I had to go out and retrieve them. That was an issue because I have a robot lawnmower that wouldn't appreciate things just lying in the yard. Otherwise, I cannot complain much. But I feel like the prices for such a job should be a lot lower. But since this is something I get done twice in six years, there's little need to buy my own system for the home.
