I live in GA and wanted to send birthday flowers to my aunt in Bradenton, FL. I randomly chose Josey's Poseys and called them. I spoke with a man who was extremely courteous and helpful. He took time to discuss different arrangements and I settled on a fall arrangement in a pumpkin container. The deliverer was very nice, according to my aunt, and the flowers were gorgeous! My aunt sent me a picture and they were just as beautiful as the picture on the website. The arrangement was larger and nicer than others I saw for the same amount. I ordered a flower arrangement and candy for my wife for Mother's Day; I ordered online and specified a delivery date of the day before as I thought they would be inundated on Mother's Day. I tried several times to contact them ahead of time to arrange delivery as I live in a secure high rise, without success. I was getting very concerned when the items actually arrived just before noon on the specified Saturday. They apologized for the lack of communication, and made it right. The service is poor, people who work there are very snobby and rude! I went in weeks before my prom, to place an order for a corsage and boutonniere. I told both the owner and her assistant what I wanted and she said no problem I'll have it ready, paid 50$ for the SET. My father went the day before prom to pick them up and was told we only had payed for the corsage by the same people! I had a receipt and could even prove that I used my card to pay for it! In the end I got both of my flowers, but my date had surprised me with a corsage of his own. I used his flower from them but I went with his corsage and gave the one I ordered to a friend. Check out places before you go in! Will not go here again and do not recommend it to anyone!! read more

Here is a study in what NOT to do with customers, if you plan on keeping them. I did business with Josey's Poseys in the past and was fairly satisfied with the flowers in the past. However, the last time I used them, three years ago on Mother's Day for my mom, I spent about $87 on a bouquet that I purchased online. That cost included extra flowers to make it more full/pouffy. The flowers in the on-line bouquet were lovely: irises, etc. I also requested delivery of the flowers to her home, which is right on the same street. Mother's Day came, and by late afternoon, I was concerned because no flowers were delivered to her. So I called my son and asked him to pick them up and bring them to her. He went down to get them and found out they had just left to deliver them, after 4 pm. (I mistakenly thought that he had picked them up, but he corrected me on this point.) The flowers they provided were nothing like those shown online; they were mostly cheap daisies, and the bouquet wasn't large/extra pouffy. Needless to say, I wasn't happy with the service and have not used them again. So, after posting a similar review a few days ago on Google, a man from their store called me (Google gives out your full name,) saying the store had no record of a sale of around that amount in my name, and my last purchase from them was 5 years ago at about $50. He then argued on about how it never happened at this store, then demanded a credit card receipt as proof that I made the purchase! Well sorry, Charlie, but I don't keep them that long. (After I thought about it later, I may have had my son pay and I paid him back, as I often do.) Frankly, I was quite taken aback by the nerve of the store worker to call me up and not even start the conversation with an, "I'm sorry you weren't happy with your purchase/service," but instead tell me again and again that it never happened at that store. And, no doubt, I would have been satisfied with the simple apology I outlined above and would have made note of such an apology on my review, HAD IT OCCURED. But NOPE, no apology was ever offered. In fact, after he demanded the credit card receipt, I told him, " If your store had spent half as long on the bouquet and service on Mother's Day as you have spent on the phone with me today, this never would have happened!" After all, it's unpleasant to wait and wait for delivery service until after 4 pm on Mother's Day, and hear nothing, although you paid for the service. (Four o'clock isn't late for younger people but it's late for elders who eat at 4 and go to bed shortly after 6 or 7 pm.) It's also very disappointing to receive poor flower substitution, using cheap flowers, for the money you paid for good flowers, and very poor customer service skills in calling up reviewers and dogging them about a bad review while insinuating that the customer is lying. Good grief, get it together and treat ALL of your customers well, not just some of them. And for goodness sake, DO NOT call them up and argue with them about what happened! Instead, start right off by offering an apology and telling them that you hope they give your shop another shot to show them how well the shop performs. And then PERFORM WELL, using quality flowers for expensive bouquets! PS: No more calls, please. read more

I was in Bradenton for a friends wedding when she came up short with flowers. In a bind, I showed up the morning of the wedding to Joseys Poseys, frantic. Not only did they have the flowers I needed on hand (vendelas/white roses & mini green hydrangeas), they dropped everything to make me two GORGEOUS bouquets on the spot. I am shocked that there aren't more reviews for this establishment. They have beautiful flowers, a talented floral designer, and wonderful customer service. We had a destination wedding on Anna Maria Island on October 3, 2015. After an initial meeting in person to discuss what we wanted, I followed up with phone calls as final decisions were made. I never felt sure that Louise Posey, an older, rather grumpy person really understood what we had discussed, so I sent a photo of the bridal bouquet to make it easier. When our flowers arrived, the bridal bouquet was smaller than the bridesmaids bouquets! They had crammed all the flowers in a much too small arrangement and it was terrible! I called and spoke to Mrs. Posey who was very nasty and not at all helpful. Thankfully, my daughter was able to remake what we had and make it work - no thanks to Josey's! I had a wonderful experience with Josey's Poseys. Mrs. Josey could not have been more helpful. I went there because of their great reputation in the community which, as it turns out, is much more reliable than the posts on Yelp. I wanted to make my own "just picked from the meadow" looking flower arrangements to put in Mason jars for a casual dinner party. I went there with certain flowers in mind, and was able to find those, but Mrs. Josey offered some additional suggestions for two other kinds of flowers which, quite honestly, really made the arrangements pop!! I put them all over my house for the dinner party and got great compliments from my guests. And continued to enjoy them for over a week because of the flowers' staying quality. I cannot speak highly enough of their service and quality of their flowers. I am from out of town and I ordered flowers for my mother for Mother's Day from FTD. FTD completely messed up my order and did not deliver the flowers. I called Josey's Poseys the day after Mother's Day, placed my order, and asked if they could deliver that day. Despite the fact that they were very busy, they told me they could deliver them that day. No more than three hours later, my mother told me that she received the flowers and that they were stunning. A California resident here, with family in the Bradenton, FL area. Several times a year, we have need of a florist to create floral arrangements for our Florida family. I ordered 2 boutineers and one corsage. My fiance ordered my corsage to include a white orchid. When we picked up my corsage, it contained the wrong color roses which they corrected. Before the reception was over, the boutineers fell apart , roses off the stem, and the orchid fell apart in my corsage. While their service was excellent, their quality is lacking. read more

My husband sent me flowers for our anniversary last year 2015, they were carnations and one rose (yes his choice) but the arrangement was terrible, the next day they were wilted and drooping. I sent a two pictures to the nice older lady that answered the phone and she gladly refunded our money $90. This year 2016 for some strange reason my husband ordered flowers again from the same place and yes the exact same arrangement came, exception of the vase and the plastic 25 anniversary stick. $95 are you serious? I called and spoke to Renee and she was apologetic and said they would replace the flowers what would I like, I asked her to use her imagination. Well a Man called my husband and "fired" him as a customer! can you believe it? I would not order from this place, and no I did not get a replacement. My friend used Josey's Poseys for her wedding in October because of their reputation. When the bouquets and boutonnieres arrived the bride started to cry. The bouquets were not only wilted but they were accented with Orange instead of Pink which the bride had chosen... the boutonnieres were Orange Roses instead of Orchids. We tried calling the shop because we weren't sure if we were given the wrong order but they were closed. The following Monday, the bride went to the shop for an explanation and was told by Josey the owner that she used Orange Roses because that is what she wanted to use and walked away. It is a shame that for what it cost the bride for these flowers they were not only wilted but they did not match because the owner chose to do her own thing. Maybe Josey had an over abundance of Orange roses because it was October and wanted to use them up.. regardless, I will never forget my friend crying on her wedding day after seeing these horrible flowers. read more

my fam had sent me an arrangement from Joseys for my birthday on the 23rd and it wasn't the one they had ordered and only knew because I had sent a pic to them and thanked them.They called Joseys and told them,and the florist said WE could come pic up another after paying a $10 delivery fee.They did bring the right arrangement on the 24th, and though my neice was stil upset in the way it went down, I put a good plug in for Joseys for them to keep using them.Now, after exactly 5 days the roses are dead or almost, which I have flowers last for at least a week in AC.after calling them to tell them, she said they hadn't any complaints and asked what I wanted. I felt like good customer service would have been to simply bring at least some kind of discount for future or something, and not put it on me to ask.I'm sure it wasn't an inexpensive arrangement, so u like to know people care and will gladly and willingly offer to make a repeat client feel satisfied and appreciated read more
