Very disappointed with our recent order! My husband & I order my mom flowers on my parents anniversary ever year since my fat her passed away. I have used Tropical Interiors in the past, but not sure we will moving forward...... We placed an order for the "Everything's Beachy" Arrangement & it is showed with the vase filled with shells and shells throughout the arrangement. The arrangement looks bright & beautiful online and we are VERY disappointed with what was received!! The vase has sand at the bottom with just a few shells in it- it looks like a filthy fish tank. No shells throughout the top of the arrangement & some of the flowers are wilted and dying (Delivery was today). Extremely disa in this order- DO BETTER!!! read more

Have placed several orders over the years with Tropical. Have had 3 recent "dissatisfactory" experiences with them. They need to pay more attention to their regular customers. Most recently, I placed 2 orders for Mother's Day and for delivery on Saturday, May 10. I received only one order and when asking the delivery person where the 2nd order was, she said she had no idea. I called the florist on Sunday, May 11 (giving them the chance to have the 2nd delivery made) and found out the other order had been "voided" and was given no reason for this. Am finished with this florist! Other incidents were due to poor quality. read more

Very disappointed! We paid extra to have the flowers delivered by noon. They did not arrive till 3:55pm. Also, I paid for a large bouquet and got a small one. I called to file a complaint, they said that the owner would call me back but I never received a call. Completely disappointed with my order. I ordered online as I live in Texas, to send flowers to my children's grandmother in Florida for her 60th birthday. The flowers she received did not match at all with what I ordered online. I even selected the "deluxe" version, which should have been a fuller bouquet and cost nearly $100 with delivery fees and taxes. The owners Steve and his brother were very pleasant and well informed about the purple ( lavender) roses I want to use in my brother's funeral wreath. What a lovely tribute to my Brother who was interned at the Sarasota National Cemetary. Steve contacted the cemetery himself and took care of the details of when the wreath needed to be there and the location of the service. When I arrived my brother's widow and all that were there early were quite taken by its exquisite beauty. It was so easy dealing with Steve and after sending a photo of my Dad's centennial wreath to him I was done. It made the service more memorable and it gave me some piece of mind. read more

I was in the area for my son's destination wedding. The young bride and groom completely overlooked small details, and the flowers were one of the details that were forgotten. I quickly grabbed my phone and pulled up my yelp app and saw this establishment had great reviews and a couple of them were about well handled "last minute" customer orders. In lieu of calling, I just stopped in. The gentleman that was there showed me and my mom what flowers were in stock. We opted for purple, since that was the color of the grooms bow tie and suspenders for their very simply beach wedding. The price was well under (about 40%) what I had expected to pay for the flowers. When we went to pick them up, they exceeded my expectations, the bouquet was wrapped in silk with pearl like details. The boutonnière was also very simple, yet very elegant. My Aunt died recently and I needed something beautiful to bring with me for this lovely lady's memorial celebration. I was going to order something from them because they have great reviews. The lady who helped me was so sweet but the shop was so stinking HOT I couldn't stand to be in there for more than 3 minutes!! Maybe their AC was broke or maybe the shop owner is too cheap to run it at a decent temperature but 90 degrees inside a store in Florida is UNACCEPTABLE! read more

He offered great design ideas and advice when I became overwhelmed with all the choices, despite the fact that they were about to close for the evening. Here was the description of what we ordered (a standing spray called Heavenly Grace for our mother's memorial service): "A sublime garden of rich yet subtle hues. . . A lovely assortment of flowers such as pink roses, larkspur, asiatic lilies, gerberas and sinuata statice, with peach roses and carnations, purple stock and limonium, and bells of Ireland on a classic easel." Looked colorful but subtle in the pic, with a nice variety of flowers. What we got for our $180: 5 peach roses, and a whole lot of peach chrysanthemums, with a lot of bright purple statice the ONLY other flower. All but one rose was already browning on the edges. So peach and bright purple, with some green filler. I accept the idea of substitutions based on what's available, but this was not even close to the spirit of what we ordered, except that it was a standing spray with some peach roses---no color, no variety in flowers and certainly overpriced for the blooms used. So very, very, unattractive and disappointing. This florist may do fine if you work with them to pick out something in the shop, but I wouldn't rely on them to replicate the spirit/flower variety/colors of a teleflora selection. read more

Was very disappointed. My family has gone here for a long time we had always loved this place. We understand it is under new management but this is ridiculous. We ordered flowers for my grandmothers funeral. One bouquet was half dead. The corsage we had ordered was the wrong amount of flowers. When we spoke to the owner about it she was extremely rude. I went into Tropical Interiors Florist looking for an arrangement for my dining room table. Jessica assisted me. I explained to her what I had in mind more or less and she started giving me so many ideas. It was decided that she will custom make a silk arrangement with all the florals that I like. She asked me to send photos of my dining room table and area so that she can get a better idea of the colours and setting. I got to pick up my arrangement yesterday and boy was I surprised. It was more beautiful than I had envisaged. The quality is exceptional!!! The service I received - 5 star. I am so impressed. Meh! I am a 65 year old woman. My daughter called to specifically request a "tropical" arrangement. I received a fall arrangement full of daisies in a "tree trunk" vase. Looked like something that should have been on a table in an office environment, So, my daughter calls to get a redo. I wait around until 11 o'clock the following day, so that I can bring it into the house. This one is in a glass vase, with lillies and other cut flowers. Nothing special and certainly not indicative of an $85 arrangement. Spoiled the birthday surprise, but I won't share my extreme disappointment with my daughter. read more
