We were in need of a tree service company to remove some trees close to our home and some that were…read morediseased. We also needed some old stumps grinded and a bit of tree trimming. We contacted a number of companies in the area and four companies provided quotes for us. One of those companies was Sierra Pacific Tree Care. We have only the best things to say about this business. From the very beginning, the company was super responsive and came out in a timely manner to give us a quote. The office manager, Liz was an excellent communicator. She was patient and always was able to answer our questions or get back to us quickly with an answer. We were told by the owner, Mauro that some of the stumps may not be able to be grinded but he would do his best. On the day of work, Mauro showed up with six workers, heavy equipment and trucks with trailers. To our absolute delight, Mauro's fleet of men were super hard working, running up our hill at a quick quip to get the job done. Some of the men were high up in the trees cutting down branches and piece by piece logs. We must mention that there were power lines tethered to two of the trees needing to come down and the men were very careful and skilled so that the power lines remained intact. We also have to give kudos to Mauro. He is not one of those owners who sits back and watches the work being done. He got his hands dirty, literally by working the grinder and removing numerous stumps. It was an all day job and the crew broke for a 30 minute lunch before getting back at it. When all of the work was done, the crew cleaned up all of the debris, sawdust and logs. Their work ethic was truly admirable. We were very impressed with the work and will use them in the future. We highly recommend Sierra Pacific Tree Care for any tree job.

I found Antonio to be unprofessional, a poor communicator, erratic in his behavior and even threatening when we attempted to address their failure to complete the work according to our agreement. A crew showed up unexpectedly at our home (without confirming day or time) to perform tree work. I happened to be in the hospital at the time. We accommodated them however as we did not want them to lose money for the equipment and they had been SUPER PUSHY. Although the crew was amicable, they failed to complete the job according to the agreement and left property damage and enough debris to fill a dumpster with 150 gallons of trash in their wake. Only one of us was present the first couple of hours of their work due to my emergency. My husband showed up at the beginning of the job and paid and signed off on it, trusting they would fulfill their obligation. He did so in order to join me at the hospital for emergency surgery. Taking advantage of someone at such a vulnerable time is the lowest of low. Our tree job was projected to take 8 hours at $700 an hour. ADS failed to complete the job, with only 11 out of 31 trees trimmed correctly. They left after 4 hours (a neighbor kept track of their time). A 30% success rate is graded universally as an "F" effort (thus only one star). Many of our heritage olive trees were not shaped and trimmed but rather hacked erratically and look awful (raising concern for tree mortality). Furthermore, Antonio (with whom we discussed the specifics of the work) promised to supervise his crew and their work and he did not. No one on site knew the specifics of the job. All debris and clean up was suppossed to be removed. It was not. Antonio promised 100% satisfaction and set up an appointment to rectify the situation after the fiasco that was their tree service, but then did not show or call. This company, under the direction of Antonio, lacks the professionalism, experience, integrity and maturity to succeed. A young person with a drive to succeed in business should show a positive work ethic, a willingness to do things correctly (or resolve issues) and own some integrity. Antonio does not possess any of these attributes. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

They had the job completed in less than four hours, including clean up. It was impressive to watch how organized and efficient they were. We particularly appreciated that any time there was the slightest question about what we needed done, they made sure to ask before proceeding another step. Many of the trees were located at the periphery of our inner yard area which is surrounded by wooden rail fencing and they took particular care to ensure no damage was done to the wooden rail, the flower beds or grass. After agreeing on the original estimate and start date, I contacted Kevin later to add a couple of trees which he did without hesitation for a bargain price. I don't know most of their names as there were probably ten or more working under Kevin's direction and all, to the man or woman, friendly, especially Daniel, who loves animals and even "hugged" our 2,000 lb pet Angus steer, Bosco.
