BEST ELOTE, hands down. Jose is the only person running the truck outside of Fiesta and does an excellent job! My favorite thing (aside from how cheap it is) is being able to put on the toppings for your corn yourself. The fact that this is roasted corn and not the kind that comes in cans makes it so much more memorable and special. The nachos are super good too! read more

Jose's Roasted Corn - The OG - Food Stands Near Me - Houston, Texas

BEST CORN EVER! If you aren't a fan of spicy things or can't handle too much, I suggest you not put too much of the red hot sauce lol you'd probably die. A little goes a long way read more

Why is their corn so good??? Fast service! Get your groceries at Fiesta and stop by to grab a cup of corn and dress it however I like it.

Never had corn like this. It was good, but should have gotten the small, the large was hard to mix all the extras in to the bottom. Will be back. read more

Best roasted corn in a cup. I've been coming here for over 20 years (since I was 6 years old). I've had roasted corn/elote/ezquites at dozens of places and Jose's Roasted Corn Reigns supreme. I've also been to Mexico 5+ times and Jose still does it better (and he knows it too). This man has a high standard for his craft and has mastered it. If I were to ever leave Houston, this would be among my top 3 things I'd miss (the other two being family & friends)! read more

Real roasted corn with all the fixings. No canned corn here. And the guy running the truck knows how to keep the line moving.

I love corn and I have been eating at Jose's for 10 years now. The owner, Jose is always friendly and opens on time. He also sell nachos and shaved ice. The corn is $3 a cup. I have never ordered corn on a stick so I don't know how much that costs. It should be the same or not much different than the price of a cup. There are many times when there would be a long line! Highly recommend trying this place out if you haven't already!! read more

I love Jose's! I've been coming here for over 14 years. I try to come atleast once or twice a month because I'm constantly craving elote. No other elote places compares. They only thing I hate about Jose's are his hours, he opens at 4 which may work for some people but not for me since it's so heavily congested with traffic around that time then it gets dark. I love that Jose allows you you access the condiments/toppings yourself. I'll just stand there for a while and take my time to load my cup up. I realized that he changed it cup size though. He now uses the same cup size he used for the snow cones which is a little bit smaller than the standard size cup he used prior. I only realized it because it's harder to mix my cup now and I actually looked at the cup and realized it. FYI: his hot sauce is super spicy. A little goes a long way. read more

Okay, so my husband and I are new to the area and I have NEVER made a review but this place absolutely deserves one. We have been a handful of times since moving here and it's nothing short of amazing! My husband who was skeptical at first bc he doesn't understand the hype about corn in a cup is now obsessed! All the toppings are to die for, and it takes me an average of 10 minutes to mix my corn throughly!!! This place is worth the hype !!!!!!! read more

Been going here since elementary school and it still hits the same! This is my go-to place to show people when they are visiting this side of town. That spicy sauce is definitely hot, but so good! Will keep coming back here for as long as it's open. read more

I got a raspa. And I have a 2 year old who will make a mess. I simply asked for an extra cup so I can put half in the empty cup so there won't be a mess. He told me no. And he said no repeatedly. I said I have a toddler who will make a mess. He kept telling me no. And laughing. This place is rude. There were no customers there. If I was at another place, they simply would have given me an extra cup. This place is rude. And filthy with flies roaming around the condiments on the outside. I will never come back here for corn or raspa. read more

I am visiting from Chicago, saw all the great reviews it has so i decide d to stop by and it was soo delicious. I end it buying 3. One of the best corns ive had. read more

Being coming here for YEARS and it's always been amazing! The corn is the best, especially the red sauce!( be careful it's HOT)

Nothing beats fresh corn right off the cob. All the fixings are available right in the front. This is a must if you are driving by!!

I love this place, best service ever! They recently moved to the other side of Fiesta by the liquor store. Don't freak out he's still here lol. Of the topic question. Does anyone know if the son is married? I have the biggest crush of him lol read more

Best corn place everrr!!! Corn is roasted perfectly. I've tried corn at other places and it's just not the same. It's like other places basically boil their corn. Well not here! I have yet to find a good corn place. read more

Dude. If you like corn and you like spicy corn, or even if you desire a snack, ditch your wife and baby, and get ya some of this corn. Trust me, they'll understand. read more

I mean its just corn on the cob steamed/roasted ...mixed with some seasoning...routine stuff...what's so different about it? well this thought passed through my head before heading over to Jose's at my friend's request.. little did i know that the time you take to roast the corn and how its roasted makes a big difference in the taste, texture and flavor quotient of the end product. (I somehow feel like a Food Network host now...lol....darn! i missed out on using the word subtle somewhere..ha) But honestly this corn was different. i would suggest folks to taste the corn plain before adding any condiments to get an idea of what I'm referring to. DO Not try to be a hero and add too much of that chille powder onto your corn. beware it shall hurt you the day and the next ...if u know what im talking abt..lol and if you accidentally do add extra chilli like i did, douse that fire with one of the raspas/snow cones...Pina colada was not bad...not too sweet and no artificial coloring... cash only beaches read more

Hidden off to the side of the Fiesta is a this pot of gold! Fabulous freshly roasted corn cut off the cob as you order. A stack of condiments await... The other reviews are spot on with the stuff in the bottle as it is spicy! mayo and limes are bountiful and the icing on this corn cake is the the ability to add a snow cone :) read more

I finally found the perfect corn in a cup! Yay! fresh cooked corn every time and that's what makes it perfect. wait almost perfect....what bothers me is that the guy who handle the corn also handle the money :( thats a no no no!! read more

I'll drive 40 mins just to come buy corn here, it's soo delicious. Service is great, you can add what you like because I've too places where they serve it for you and they put too much or not enough. Here I can add just the right amount read more

We've been coming to this place for years now! Truly the best corn you can find! The taste has not changed since we first came upon this little gem years ago. The nachos are really good as well and you get a heaping serving and he does not skimp on the cheese! Oh! And be very careful with his hot sauce for it is devilishly hot but oh so good. A little goes a long way... and I do mean a little!!! So go by and support this small business that has stayed open due to providing such a tasty product. read more

This little cart is the closest thing to corn heaven! I can't even get my corn to taste like this at home! Jose is an amazing corn roaster! I'm not sure if it's his corn crop or the temperature of the roaster but the corn is always delicious and piping hot! He cuts the corn fresh as you order it... It doesn't sit in a crock pot and it's always fresh corn no matter what time of year it is. Prices vary and can fluctuate depending on the crop, but that's jut the price you pay for quality and freshness. You can order the corn on the cob or he can cut it up for you and put it in a cup. I prefer the cup! In front he has all the condiments you could ever want to season your corn! Mayo, butter, sour cream, fresh lime, lemon pepper, Parmesan cheese, chili powder, and a chili paste! Careful with the chili just a little bit too much and it can make it inedible because of the spice! In addition to corn Jose also sells sno-cones and nachos... Also sodas are just 50cents a can! He is a great staple to the north side! You can't go wrong if you're looking for a quick and satisfying snack... The only complaint is sometimes he opens late or he doesn't stick to his posted hours but I haven't had too many issues with that. read more

Love it. Megan and I went in search of this place after seeing it on yelp. We were puzzled when the nav took us to the Fiesta market. Then we saw the little shack on the side of the building. Corn was so good! Who would have thought mayo in corn was tasty? Haha! we'll be back read more

Everything the name implies ! Hot roasted corn cut right off the cob in front of you! All the toppings you like and enjoy! $3

Best elote I've had so far! The corn is freshly roasting in front of you then cut from the cob when you order. They have all the right fixins too. Mayo, sour cream, butter, cheese, chile, limes, everything! The chile was spicier than expected but every bit delicious. Can't wait to tell my friends about it! read more

This is the best corn place ever and will be forever. Jose is the best at what he does. The chili sauce will blow your silly minds. Try their elotes and you will have fulfilled a life requirement. read more

Perfect corn. This is the epitome of a hole in the wall food truck that knows how to specialize in something. Really affordable, simple and delicious. Has plenty of topping options including: butter, sour cream, mayo, lemon salt (amazing), salt, pepper, cayenne, lime, and parmesan. Small cups are $3 and Large cups are $6 Tip: Go easy on the hot sauce. read more

I must say I was a little hesitant but reviews don't lie this place is amazing. I love elote and I've been trying to find the perfect place to fit my craving mainly on a stick but I didn't mind this cup of elote it was delicious and you can put how much toppings you want. Only 3 bucks! Can't beat that it's well worth. read more

I love elote so much. I would die for it. This is THE best place in Houston for some.

Where would you get actually ROASTED corn. Everyone else uses corn from a can. Anddddd you get to season to your own preference

Some of the best corn around town! we will continue coming back! Not only is it delicious but such nice ppl

The corn was very succulent and crispy with a nice roasted taste. I like the process of picking your topics and you can definitely create a very tasty creation!! As others have mentioned the spicy flakes and paste are good but strong so be careful! read more

The corn was good if you know how to spice it up with butter and cheese and seasoning. The guy cooking was quite, idk why but he looks like the guy in Mario game to me, which is cute so we had a good time standing and eating corn in a cup out side. read more

I looked up where the best cup of corn in Houston was and here it is! I live in The Woodlands so it isn't far. I have to say it's AMAZING! You dress the cup yourself which I wasn't used to but I like it. Be careful of his chili sauce... IT'S HOT! I covered the top of my cup the first time and soon hated myself. There is always a line but it is so worth it! I just wish he was open for lunch. We frequent once a week for dinner. read more

Reminds so much of growing up in SoCal and having the Elote man come around my neighborhood. The corn is so good you can smell before you see the truck. I've never had lime on it before but the people who where making theirs assured me it would only make it better. An it did . The hot sauce in the squirt bottle is HOT, but so dang good. Be careful w/ the cayenne pepper it'll get in your eye (no bueno) $3 for a cup totally worth it! read more
