Poor place during covid! Do not go to this place is not sanitary, atleast for now. I really was craving a corn! Until I witness with my own eyes, a nice group of people bought the homeless a corn cup, which was sweet of them. But the fact the homeless prepared his own corn touching all the stuff to prepared the corn that was just nasty. read more

My favorite Fresh corn from the cob. If you ever had that feeling were it felt so good but hurt so bad well this is it. The spice level on this can get intense in a good way if that makes sense...but luckily you have the option of how spicy you want it since it's a self serve food truck. The gentlemen in the truck cuts the corn serves in a cup for ONLY $3, then you dress it as desired. But be easy on the hot sauce. Words of advise: It's spicy going in and spicy coming out!! Hope you can solve the riddle before it to late... read more

Jose's Roasted Corn - Best corn in town with a kick to it supppppeer spicy so easy on the sauce unless your ready - Food Stands Near Me - Houston, Texas

Went here after a recommendation from a friend and it was really good corn. The owner (owners?) seemed hard working and very friendly. It was worth waiting in line for. read more

Worth the line but take a glove so you don't touch the condiment dispensers. Sorry but with COVID-19 you need to stay safe. The corn is worth it. Love there red sauce. read more

BEST ELOTES IN TOWN- HANDS DOWN! My mom and I used to come to this Fiesta all the time when I was a kid, and I'd always beg my mom for some corn after we were done shopping. Nothing's changed about Jose's elotes except for his new location. It's not located on the right side of Fiesta anymore. It's on the left LOL. My heart sank for a moment until I saw the sign about him locating to the other side. $3 for a small cup, or double it up for $6. Believe it or not, I got the double... He shucks the corn when you order it, pay for it (cash only) and on to the toppings. There's butter, sour cream, mayo, cheese, chile, limes, lemon pepper season, salt and pepper, and the hot sauce. Careful with the hot sauce. I love love love my spicy sauces, but that sauce has a powerful kick. A little bit goes a long way. Very friendly but busy family ran business. It's a must for that savory craving. You won't be disappointed. read more

I went by here a couple of weeks ago. It is located right next to the Fiesta at Willowbrook in a white trailer. I ordered a cup of corn and then proceeded to put toppings on it that included butter and a little sour cream. The corn is freshly prepared in front of you by having the corn separated from the husk into your cup. Very simple operation. I thought the corn was hot and good. The toppings I used were good too. Also the entire cup is very filling. It will kill your appetite so don't let it ruin your lunch or dinner by eating here soon before a meal. I see many 4 and 5 star reviews for this place. Perhaps my dining tastes are different than many of my fellow reviewers. I rate my experience a 3. It was A-OK. Perhaps I would have liked it more had I used different toppings. I would not hesitate to return for another snack or to try their snow cones. read more

Only thing I dislike is everyone can touch the items to custom their corn , that's nice and all but we're dealing with a whole virus . I used a napkin to touch and disposed of it . Anyways the roasted corn on the cob is yummy only thing is I guess I put to much Chile and it was so hot , I couldn't even enjoy it i can handle heat but idk it was way to hot that my lips were burning , and I love spicy things . The corn is good I just overdid it myself I guess lol . But it's good . read more

This is the spot if you want fresh corn! A friend recommended this place to me and I am so thankful. They take out the corn fresh from the grill and make it right in front of you. YUUM! Most places tend to use canned corn and it is just not the same. They also have the toppings such as cheese, butter, salt, lime, chili sauce out so you can customize it yourself! I absolutely love this place. It is my go-to spot for corn from now on. read more

I've been eyeing this little truck for awhile since its always packed and then discovered it on yelp that it was Jose's Roasted corn ! I live just down the street from this place, score! This is a truck that's located on the side of Fiesta and next to Family dollar. Finally stopped by the other night to try the elote. SOOOO good! Fresh roasted corn that Jose cuts right in front of you to put in your cup! It is cash only, $3 a cup, but so worth it. They also leave the toppings out for you so you can decide what you want in your cup, which is nice! Oh and be careful with the bottle with red sauce in it, I love spicy and this sauce is damn super spicy lol You'll be seeing me again Jose! read more

Real roasted corn with all the fixings. Self serve butter, mayo, queso, etc. Great prices and served on the cob! If you like elotes, uou have to stop here! It is a small place on the side of the Fiesta and close to 1960. So mane places now use canned corn and serve it en vaso, it was great to find this place! read more

I love Jose's Roasted Corn! This was the best elote I've ever had. Corn is roasted to perfection, and cut from the cob in front of you- and it's plentiful- the small size is like a meal! Be careful with the red sauce- it's spicy, but delicious! read more

ELOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love me some mexican corn. As in.. I dream about this corn often. The first time I had it, I overloaded that cup with all the toppings which probably meant a lot of calories and difficulty mixing everything in the cup without making a mess. hehehe.. I call myself FATTY MCBUTTERPANTS when I slap on some butter in that cup. Only time I will indulge in such a beautiful caloric catastrophe. I am sooooo thankful for Jose's Roasted Corn @ Fiesta #20. Major fist bumpage to you! So fresh and the smell of roasted corn in the air as you wait in line will is amazing!!!!!!! read more

Finally got to try the corn from this place, which was great! And Jose was nice... But I should've paid attention to the reviews warning me about the red salas, cause it's very spicy... I'll definitely be back soon read more

If you grew up in the area, you didn't need yelp to find out that this place was HOT. Not much else to say other than this page is the place to get elote. The place only sells one thing for a reason... Because he does it right, and the value is there. Hell sometimes we go here, pick up corn, and then go to our taco truck of choice. Advice for noobs: Jose only corns you up, so you're responsible for building it how you like it. Also, the red sauce ain't playing around... Eff around and find out. read more

BEST SWEET CORN IN THE CUP! straight $3 for the corn in the cup no tax! I gotta say, Jose's never disappoint when it comes to hot sauce too! Best elote in Houston, hands down. Come here and enjoy!

Definitely worth 5 stars! I like that you are able to put as much or as little of the condiments as you want. Options include: Mayo Sour cream Season all Salt Pepper Chile powder - medium and hot Limes I love you can squeeze as many limes as you want since most places give you like one slice and it usually doesn't have any juice. I'll definitely be back!! Super excited to find this place :) read more

First of all, I have been to the Minnesota State Fair and had a pulled husk of corn roasted over an open wood fire and then dipped in REAL BUTTER. This is true roasted corn. I was offered a styrofoam coffee cup (8-10 Oz.) of corn sliced off of an ear of corn right in front of me. The sliced kernels of corn fell into a clear 5 quart container and the chef scooped up a cup of the shaved kernels and stuck a plastic spoon in it. Outside they had a giant tub of ( YUCK ) COUNTRY CROCK MARGARINE which is a known carcinogen, WHO puts margarine on roasted corn served shaved and then served in Ac styrofoam cup ? DREADFUL PLEASE GIVE ME THE FULL COB OF ROASTED CORN WITH REAL BUTTER !!!! Or are you too cheap to put real butter in a Vat for customers?? Your nachos were cheap cold commercial store bought corn chips with horrible cold nacho cheese. Pitiful nachos made by a Mexican who should be ashamed of serving junk to his people and the public. I won't be Back. I know what good roasted corn is and I know CHEAP WHEN I SEE IT. read more

This is the best elote in the city! The corn is actually roasted on the cob (not out of a can) and they put all the fixins out so that you can add the cheesey, mayoey, buttery goodness yourself. I wish they were closer to my house, though my waistline is thankful. We also ordered a cherry raspa (Sno Cone) which was the perfect compliment to the elote! Great experience and can't wait to go back!! read more

Go here for elote! You will not be disappointed. You get to see Jose cut the corn fresh off the cob for you then get to add your own toppings to make it taste how you want. There was a line when I went but it moves quick and is worth the wait. read more

Jose's has the best elote I've ever had. He roasts the corn fresh and slices the kernels off by hand. This makes the sweet corn kernels have a more vibrant flavor and crisp bite to them unlike other soggy elotes I've had in the past. Also, you get to dress up your elote however you want with the usual accoutrements. Like extra butter, extra chile, extra limon - load it up as much as you want. Awesome! Jose you are my favorite elote man in the world. I will be back soon, maybe tonight. read more

JOSE IS THE BEST EVER!!!! I've been going here since I was a child and i still absolutely love love love it! Elote is freshly roasted and prepared and you can taste the difference compared to other spots which sell elote that isn't roasted. The various toppings choices along with a great price of $3 for a small or $6 for a large makes the entire thing even better! Jose's offers other food/beverage options but he is definitely known for his Elote! read more

I went there for the corn Bc it's literally around the corner. The corn is the absolute best, I had gotten a small but I definitely want a large next time I go. They have all the toppings you need to add to make it so tasty. They have other items on the menu as well that I wld love to try. The food stand is always packed with people and a long line. So next time I go I can't wait to get a large corn with all the toppings. read more

Came here 15 minutes before closing on a Monday night and the corn was still piping hot. It's up to you to add all the toppings unlike some places where it already comes with some butter and cheese. Jose's chili sauce is SPICY!! So good and hot it made my eyes water. Only complaint is that the butter is just sitting in a tub with a spoon stuck in it without a cover or ice. Not very sanitary as dairy products shouldn't be left out like that. Will definitely be back read more
