I am very pleased with the fence that Jose put up in our backyard. Jose is friendly and easy to work with. Jose keeps his costs down by doing all the work himself. He is an efficient and skilled professional and is the best value around. Jose is in high demand so get him while you can! read more

Five stars to Jose for saving my sagging backyard fence! He responded right away to my Yelp ad, beat out three other bids, and showed up the next day to replace three leaning posts. Solid work, fair price--fence looks brand new. Highly recommend! read more

This was my second time hiring Jose to repair my fence posts. Jose was very responsive and came out to inspect the damage and provide a quote quickly. What I appreciated most was that Jose was very honest and did not try to upsell any services. His prices are very fair and the repair was quick and very well done. If I need more fencing work/repairs done, Jose will be the first person I contact. read more

Hard to get a hold of, he finally returned my call and asked for my address via a txt and he would arrange for a meet up... three txt's later no show no response, I tried to keep the work within the community, I guess he doesn't need it! read more

WOW! So glad I found Jose's Fences to put in my new redwood fence. Jose came out and gave me a very reasonable quote for my 100 ft. project and completed it in a surprisingly short amount of time. What I really appreciated was the ease of communication, his knowledge base, the fact that he is licensed, and his follow through. Never left me hanging. This beautiful fence makes me smile everytime I look at it. Now onto landscaping. read more

Jose's Fence - Nice fence and gate - Fences & Gates Near Me

If you want a cheap fence and nothing else, give them a call. If you like good communication, professionalism, a company who keeps it's promises and will respond in a timely matter, you need to find someone else. When I kept calling and texting to get my fence issues resolved, I was treated like I was the problem. "Don't you know how busy we are?". Actually I didn't know, because nobody would call me back or respond to my text. read more

Jose over promises and under delivers. Everything sounded nice until the work was being done. My neighbor and I hired Jose to redo our back fence since it fell down. The middle of my fence where I have a plantar eroded so that part was crooked. We all agreed to straighten, but instead of just straightening that... Jose took my entire fence towards my yard. The fence is straight but at an angle! He also cut my gazebo without asking to fit his fence that he said was in the right area. If the fence was put at the original post, why would you need to cut the gazebo? Also, if done right, why would my plantar stick out in my neighbor's backyard (see images) ... When we asked Jose to put the fence back to original post he refused and said his work is great. Both neighbors told him to do it and he still said no and will only put it back to where the city tells him to. My sister and I paid an extra $1000 for a certified surveyor to come and we were right, fence was put in too far into our land by 5 feet! (See photo) We asked Jose to fix this and he said he'll only fix if we give him more money. He went back on his word and still had the audacity to say he did it right... not sure how you put the fence right if you didnt follow property line? Common sense to me! Now we are having to escalate the situation as we have lost so much of our property. And he still refuses to reconcile his poor work. He is unprofessional, does not keep to his word and by no means followed proper protocol as a licensed construction worker. read more

Most pleasurable experience of all contractors I've worked with. Jose goes above and beyond to ensure the job is done right the first time. I was in the market to have my old wooden fence removed and replaced along the backside of my property. My fence was 10+ years old, rotted and my neighbor's dogs behind me would continuously dig and occasionally end up in my yard. I had reached out to multiple companies for quotes, however I ran into many contractors who did not respond or flaked. During my continued search I ran across 'Jose's Fence' on Yelp. Based off the many positive reviews I decided to reach out. Jose responded very quickly to my request for a quote and was even able to come by same day to survey the yard and get exact measurements. My initial impression upon meeting Jose was that he was professional and well dressed. I received his quote shortly after (same day) and was very pleased with his fair pricing. I agreed to the terms and Jose was able to start work the following day. Jose showed up to the job on time and was able to accommodate my work schedule to ensure that prior to beginning the project we were both on the same page. Jose began work and was very focused throughout the project. No matter how busy he was if I had any questions and/or comments he would pause and answer them all while being very courteous. The original timeline for the project was to be completed within three days and I was pleased that with his diligence and skill he was able to complete the job in just two days' time with no setbacks. Not only did Jose produce an impeccable fence he was also able to solve the issue I was having with the neighbor's dogs with his expert recommendation to add a footer to the fence. Upon completion of the project Jose left the jobsite in pristine condition. Jose's work speaks for itself and I would HIGHLY recommend him. I will only be using Jose's Fence for any and all of my fencing needs in the future and you should too! read more

I highly recommend Jose's Fence! I got a few bids on the project and since a neighbor had used him that helped me make the decision to hire him. He went the extra mile without being asked, he is very concerned with the quality and ensuring customer satisfaction. His pricing was in the middle of the bids but I found out later he used better quality materials than the others had bid on. He also did a section of iron that I don't have a photo for now but will add later. He did a great job fixing up my gate and adding the iron section. I am so incredibly happy with his work -I highly recommend him if you want the best quality with high integrity ! My puppy, Lucy is really happy too she now can run wild around the back yard! Lastly, he is a great communicator and keeps the job site clean! Thanks Jose! Sherri & Lucy read more

2nd time I've used Jose. Always had a quick response. Will try to accommodate even in these crazy times.

Was extremely hard to get him to come out for a quote. I'm talking weeks. Definitely charged to much for the small job he did. But he does good work. Will I use him again? Probably not! Sorry Joe! read more

We were in need of a fence as our new rescue dog discovered he could easily jump our old chainlink one. I got 5 quotes, but Jose was the one who really explained what he would do for us and what was needed for our particular job. We have a large backyard that slopes down to the fence along our property line and along the city sidewalk. He was the most reasonable and he could start the job the soonest. For these factors, he was our selection. Jose was delayed by a couple of days due to a previous job, but we understood. It was still sooner than the others had quoted. When he arrived, his partner was not there as he had broken an ankle. My husband and I were wondering what we had gotten ourselves into. Well, before long, our worries were gone. This man single handedly removed a large amount of debris and the old fence, hauling it all away neatly. Then he meticulously installed our new 6 ft by 158 ft with a hidden self-closing gate cedar fence. He achieved this all in less than a week during the hottest summer I remember!! The finished product is excellent and we are extremely pleased. The only change in price was due to having to cut back some large yucca branches and remove the root to a tree that had grown into the old fence, forcing him to rent a chainsaw. Our yard was left immaculately clean and he informed us each day when he was leaving and what the plan was for the next day. My husband and I cannot endorse this man enough. Thank you Jose for all your hard work!! We have received so many compliments already. read more

We contacted Jose to see about getting a price on a fence, he called me back immediately and came the same day to give us an estimate. We set it up to have the fence installed when we got back from vacation. Our neighbor heard someone get into our backyard and I decided I wanted the fence up now!!! I contacted Jose again and he came out the very next day to start on the fence. It took about 4 days to complete and it looks fabulous!!! We could not be happier. Jose was great to deal with and did a fabulous job!! He kept us updated every step of the way. We are going to have him back to do another fence inside the yard at a little later date, when we figure out exactly what we want. Highly recommend Jose and Jose's Fence!!! read more

I can't express my satisfaction enough. Jose was fast, CLEAN, maintained great communication through the entire process and he was extremely professional. My wife and I can be picky, we know this. He accommodated our needs and took pictures through the project and sent me updates daily. Additionally, before he made any decisions regarding the final product he would call! What contractors do that? He showed up and completed the project on time. Best of all? He was competitively priced. You know what they say: quality, speed and price. Pick 2. Not with Jose. I will use him in the future without hesitation! Furthermore, I won't go anywhere else. read more

Very satisfied with the fence built by Jose. His prices were fair and the quality of work is outstanding. He gets pretty busy with other jobs, but that just shows how highly sought after he his. He does all the work himself without subcontracting so you not only get a good deal, but receive quality workmanship. After the fence was finished, I asked him for another quote to reinforce the fence on the other side of the house. Overall, great work and would highly recommend him to anyone. read more

A bit disappointed as Jose's Fence came highly recommended by two of my husband and I's friends. It started great. I called Jose, but received an automated message to text him. So I text him and he texted back right away and was even able to come on such short notice to assess it for a quote. We were so relieved because our house is currently on the market when the rain/wind blew down our fence. We only had the next three days to find someone to fix it before a weekend full of showings. When Jose left, he said he would message us later that day with a quote. He never messaged us that day, but I gave it till the next morning in case he was busy with work. I finally text him at 11am the next day to follow up on the quote. No response. I called him later that day around 6pm, to which I just received the automated message to text him. So I text again. And again, no response. At this point, I was so confused as to why I felt like I was chasing him. It has now been three days and I have yet to hear from him again. Everything has now been fixed by a different company who communicated well and came out same day. The reason I even gave two stars was because the initial response was quick and i appreciate the time he took to come look at/assess it...but then I got ghosted ‍ read more

4.6 stars. If you need a fence don't hesitate to go with Jose's. He is helpful and quick to respond in any format that you use. His work is quick and well done. Would be five full stars if he was able to start as originally quoted. However he is quite flexible with the jobs. He also gave me an update and walkthrough every few hours. With the quoting process he discussed the most economical method as well as his recommendation. Pricing was really competitive, about 1600 for a side fence. read more

Jose is a very honest and professional fence installer. His work ethic and business dealings are above reproach. This individual can be depended on to do a thorough and professional job. I have a big backyard and needed two sides of my fence replaced. I also asked him to check the other fence that was already installed about 8 years ago. He checked to make sure it was secure and gave me good recommendations for the fence for care so that it will last longer. He was very friendly and really knew what he was talking about. He also installed a rolling gate for me which is beautiful. Other fencing companies told me it would be too expensive but Jose's prices were very reasonable. I have recommended Jose to several people and if I am ever in need of fence repair again, I would definitely call on Jose. He is highly recommended! read more
