It's a local diner like old time local diners. The food was excellent! They had a buffet, that had plenty of variety on the bar, but we are off the menu. Chicken fried steak And party wings. The chicken fried steak was hand breaded and delicious. The onion rings were so good, and French fries were batter fries, hot and the grease was fresh. The buffalo wings were dripping with sauce that was hot enough but not too hot. The meal was inexpensive , filling, fresh and hot. We'll stop here again if we pass through Trinity! read more

Eaten here many times and have always enjoyed there buffet, I can't think of any bad experiences here, there fried chicken is awsome and I can eat 4 or 5 pieces of chicken, almost soul food. read more

I loved this place. The food was great. NOT healthy, but great. It has an extremely laid back feel. They moved to a new location from where they used to be, and I haven't been since, but plan to change that soon. I had breakfast here one morning and was stuffed afterwards. Stopped by Joseph's on a Friday night for the all you can eat seafood buffet. I enjoyed most of it, the fried shrimp was my favorite. The shrimp were huge breaded in cornmeal and very good the catfish was a close second, and I don't usually like catfish. I however a big fan of stuffed crab, and sadly Josep's was not good, just oily. My husband went back for frog legs and said they we very good, but I am not eating frog! I was not a fan of the gumbo either. The atmosphere was a little back woods Mom and Pop but I like that! The cook came out to check on us and made us feel very comfortable. Stay away. Anything fried was in grease so old it turned the food black. Still trying to get that taste out of my mouth. In a seafood platter the only thing edible was fried shrimp, which was dry as cardboard. The rest was disgusting and inedible. They asked if I wanted a go box.. no thanks! I drive through trinity when I go hunting , .The services was good, didn't have an issue. I usually order the same thing the times I go there, it never failed to satisfy me. The reason I gave it a three star not a four is that some of the seating and tables are a bit beat up. Restrooms not clean. Tables somewhat dirty. read more

Bathrooms are filthy. Floor near basebords are black. Crickets hopping throughout. I tried to turn the light on only to find that it was on. If the bathroom is dirty what does the kitchen look like? Thier water tasted like it came from the water hose. Cancelled our order and left. read more

My family and I are very familiar with this town and my dad knows Joseph. We have been coming to Trinity for about 15 years for deer season and fishing, so we have eaten here plenty. For the most part it's decent... depending on what you order. I will agree with others when I say that the cleanliness of this place is not great, however it doesn't bother me too much considering it's just an old country place in the woods. But the last time we went there, 2 weekends ago, it was 6 of us there for dinner. We got there around 8:30pm... and when we walked in there were 2 big groups there taking up the only tables that would fit a party of 5 or more in the front dining room. So we asked the waitress if we could sit in the room right next to that one. It was literally 15 feet away and nothing separating it, but she told us no it was "closed". So we then asked if we could push two tables together because there was literally no where else to sit our party. Again we were told "no we can't do that"... So now we are standing there confused, not knowing what to do because the only way we could stay and eat was if we split up at different tables. We ultimately has to leave because she was not helping us. It's a shame that we couldn't be accommodated, i guess our business was not needed. read more

We have been to Joseph's many times to eat seafood buffett on Friday night. Last night (08/11/17) we went again after about six months ( six months ago food was terrible). Yes, I thought we would give it another try. Will not make that mistake again. When we first starting eating there food was great. Not sure what has happened but the quality of the food has gone down. When you mention how bad the food is they act as if they do not care. Therefore, I will keep my money in my pocket. We do not live in Trinity. We drive about 40 miles to get there. Not again. Sorry Joseph, but you need to get on track with your food. We have only eaten the seafood buffet so have no idea about rest of his food. read more

Went to breakfast buffet this morning and man was picking up bacon and biscuits with his hands. Did not like a particular biscuit, that's ok put it back and get another one. Same with bacon, grossed me out. Could not finish breakfast. Guess no Health Dept in Trinity, TX! read more

This place seems to be popular, and the Yelp reviews seemed pretty good. NOT! Terrible service, unsmiling waitress who acted like she didn't have time to wait on me. I guess my mistake was to order off the menu instead of do the buffet. But it was almost 1:30 pm when I went in and the buffet food looked dried up and picked over. So I tried the fried schrimp and a baked potato which I was charged extra for. It's hard to mess up a baked potato, but they did. It was microwaved and very underdone, hard and lukewarm. The waitress told me to go to the salad bar to fix my potato, so I thought there would be lots of fixings. There was only grated cheese, no butter, chives, bacon bits, or even sour cream. She served my plate with no silverware, so I had to reach over on another table and steal a place setting. Next came the fried schrimp. Very underdone, so that the cornmeal breading was still uncooked in places. The waitress never checked on me to see if I needed anything. So my suggestion is to skip this place.
