Dr. King was willing to let me participate in my care. If I wanted to try an alternative treatment or avoid a certain medication, she would always offer other options. I've been going to Family Medicine here for several years now and have consistently great…read moreexperiences. For the last 3 or 4 years, Dr. Holmstrom has been my PCP and I really liked her. I guess most folks do too because the only downside is that there's usually about a 3 month wait to see her! But I've been lucky that so far I haven't had any emergency issues to need to get in all that quickly so a 3-month wait hasn't been terrible. A few times I've needed prescriptions filled last minute and the staff has always been friendly and extended my refill until I was able to get into see the Dr. Most recently I was in yesterday for my yearly physical. Admittedly, despite being completely enamored with all things having to do with the medical profession, I have a bit of doctor's office phobia when it comes to my own appointments and I get really nervous whenever I visit (nothing personal, docs! I'm just a worrywart!) but the staff here puts me at ease. Everyone is great from the check in front desk staff to the nurses (there is one in particular that I've seen several times and she's the best! I'm terrible with names so I can't recall to give shout her out, sadly!) to the medical student who did my preliminary exam. Dr. Holmstrom is also so sweet and supportive and really friendly. Admittedly I've had a pretty grief-stricken year so anxiety/depression has been a bit of a struggle for me the last few months. She really took the time to talk through some of my issues and make sure that I was taking care of myself through all of it. They really do care here! UofM also has the neat health portal online where you can make appointments, view test results, request refills, etc. Everything you may need at your fingertips 24 hours a day. Just make sure you have your medical record number handy as you'll need it, if you're like me and forget your login & password all.the.time! ALSO--this office also houses the Japanese Family Health Program. This doesn't pertain to me but I think it's great they offer the services to Japanese speaking members of the population (several other clinics in the area service other languages).

I see Ruth here for reflexology and it's by far and away the best thing that I've ever done for…read moremyself. I have a fairly stressful life, and Dr. Shindler suggested that I give it a go to help relieve stress. Well after my first session, I was driving home, hit a TON of traffic on I-275, and it didn't bother me in the least. It was the strangest feeling in the world - like someone took my mean friend away, and I didn't realize how mean that little guy was until he was gone. I have had reflexology in the past, and thought, "sure this is a nice foot massage", but that is not what reflexology is in the least when you're with Ruth. It's just amazing, amazing work. She's passionate, perceptive, kind, and so so much more. I really don't have enough good words to say about Ruth. Give her a try, and you'll try to hunt me down to thank me for making your life awesome. Dr. Shindler is also awesome. He's very easy to talk to, and is open to different ways of healing, including hypnosis. I did hypnosis once, and he will make a recording of the session for you to do at home. This also helped me reduce stress levels - but obviously you can use hypnotism to help with a lot of different issues. Overall, there aren't enough words to express how thankful I am that this office is here... we so quickly brush off things like stress, and other life stuffs, and how they play a role in our health. Nice to see a doctor's office understand.

Came here in search of a new doctor. I had seen positive reviews on several sites about Dr. Patrick…read moreBrennan. When I called I was told he was not accepting any new patients. There is another doctor there, Dr Jennifer Burlingame so I made appointments for my son and myself. ( I cannot find any reviews on her as of this date) My sons first appointment was made for 3:00 but the day beforehand I was called and they moved his appointment to 3:40. When we arrived at 3:30 we were told that we had missed his appointment and since the office is a "very busy" one that he could not be seen. I told her how we had been called and told the time for the appointment had been changed and for her to just forget it and to also cancel the appointment I had for the following week. She said then that he could be seen. So we sat and waited.. and waited. We waited 25 minutes in outside waiting room and then another 35 minutes in the back. It was over an hour to see the doctor. I thought it would be better for my appointment. I got there just before 2:00 for my 2:20 appointment. The outside doors are locked from 1:00 until 2:00 for lunch. I thought.. wonderful... since I was first inside and had an appointment just after lunch. surely my wait would be minimum. There was only one other patient waiting who came in after I did. The other patient was called back first and then I was called after. At 2:40 my son texted to see what the hold up was. The doctor showed up just after 3:00. Visit with doctor was about 10 minutes. Third trip was better with only about 20 minutes of a wait for my son, it was a just after lunch appointment as well. The doctor seems very nice but my first rating will be in the middle and is most influenced at this time by the long waits. As we have more interactions with the doctor I will edit/update my review.
