This doctor is very thorough, he takes his time. I did not feel rushed and all my questions and concerns were not only answered but listened to carefully and addressed to the last detail. This doctors staff is also very kind and friendly, super helpful and they always answer the phone(my last pediatrician almost never answered) My son has some sensory issues and is shy but he had no tantrums or hesitation in dealing with the staff or doctor because he felt at ease and that in itself is worth a million dollars to me. I am a very VERY picky mom, I want the best of the best for my son, and I was very impressed with this Doctor and his staff, I totally recommend them.

I really like that they will almost always be able to fit me into the schedule at my soonest availability. If someone is not available to answer the phone right away, I will get a call back from an advice nurse. That is a fantastic help to me. We have seen almost all the Pediatricians who practice at this office. I find that they generally are great about spending time with the patient and answering all my parent questions. I never feel pressured by the doctors about our medical decisions.

Getting an appointment was easy, the receptionists aren't overly warm, but I didn't have any rude behaviors or mask drama like many people have reported. They do still require all patients to wear masks, and when we forget them they quietly hand us all a mask and we go in. The office is older but clean and well maintained. The bathrooms are clean and always stocked which is nice. They don't have books or toys which isn't an issue for me, but for parents looking for distractions you might want to pack a few. There is a fun fish tank in each office to keep little eyes entertained while you sign in or fill out paperwork. Our kids have seen Dr Turner who I was pleasantly surprised with. She was calm and had a very welcoming demeanor which made it easier for my kids to warm up to. She took her time listening to them and addressing the concerns they had. We never felt rushed or unheard in her presence. On one occasion my son thought it would be funny to put a piece of fake dog poop on the chair as a prank. When she walked in she totally rolled with it and was so silly with him. She scored extra points for that!! She places orders quickly and is easy to contact which is also really nice. All of the nurses/LVNs have been amazing. They take their time and really practice patient centered care. One nurse even did breathing exercises with my daughter when she was panicked. It was beautiful to see and warmed my momma heart. One issue I did have, which is why I removed a star, is there don't seem to be any systems in place for victims of abuse. This is very concerning especially when children might be accompanied by an abuser and they are unable to advocate for themselves with the person in the room. Other than that I recommend this place.

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience regarding prescription management at this office…read more I was down to my last two Lexapro pills when I checked my CVS app and saw that CVS had attempted to contact my provider three times without a response. I called the office on Friday to request my refill and was told it would be filled Monday since I had enough medication to get through the weekend. However, the prescription was not sent until Monday night, causing me to miss a dose. By Tuesday, I was experiencing brain fog, dizziness, and brain zaps. When I checked the prescription status, I discovered that my provider, Carlos Guerrero, had sent my prescription to Walgreens instead of CVS, despite me having clearly provided the correct pharmacy information. Walgreens does not accept my insurance, so I had to pay roughly three times my normal cost rather than wait another 48 hours for a transfer. This is not the first time I have had issues with prescriptions being sent to the wrong pharmacy. During the year I have been going to this office, my primary care physician has changed four times. Previously, Dr. Jesus Arena sent my prescription to the incorrect facility, and now Carlos Guerrero has made the same mistake. The repeated turnover and ongoing prescription errors have made it extremely frustrating to get consistent care. Lexapro is not a medication that should be interrupted casually, especially for someone who has been taking it long term. Missing doses caused significant symptoms that could have been avoided with proper communication and attention to pharmacy details. The front desk staff has always been kind and helpful, but the repeated prescription issues have been extremely frustrating and, in my opinion, unprofessional. After seeing other reviews mentioning prescription problems with this office, I'm concerned this may be a larger issue. If you rely on your medications being refilled accurately and on time, I would think carefully before choosing this practice.
