I chose Dr.Lin to be my toddler's pediatrician at random from a list and now, after 2 appointments, I can say I feel super lucky! He has a such a funny, dry sense of humor, and interacts so well with my son. The office itself is very professional and always quickly responsive. So far we've only needed to go for the standard well visits, but I feel like if/when we run into any illness we'll be in good hands. I've seen several pediatricians for my now 8 month old daughter, and Dr. Lin is definitely one of my go-tos. As a paranoid new mom, I pester our many pediatricians on a constant basis for the tiniest thing (word of advice, googling your child's symptoms might not be a good idea beforehand, because it's usually not as bad as the internet tells you). Dr. Lin is very straight-forward. He isn't the soothing type of doctor that some moms might want, but he is a very intelligent one. He reminds me of House (anybody watch that show?), where he can diagnose your kid rather easily and accurately, and isn't fluffy with the words. I appreciate that he would personally follow up on my baby's conditions, even after office hours. Some pediatric offices only have a nurse follow up, if anyone at all. To me, that extra mile shows true compassion vs those who talk sugary sweet only when you're there and forget you as soon as you're gone. We have been going to this office since my oldest daughter was 10 months old and she is now 16. Dr. Lin and Dr. Young have seen my girls through illness, broken bones, a hospitalization for a scary infant virus, asthma, puberty, rashes and hives, something stuck in the ear, you name it! They are not seeking to maximize the quantity of patients coming through their office. Instead they are focused on the quality of patient care. Kelly is the greatest front office manager you'll find. There are very few who are as accomodating, friendly and sincere as she is. Nurse Liz is very gentle with patients, especially gifted at giving vaccinations. Believe me, we appreciate that! i am pleased to write a review and recommend this pediatric office! Let me begin by saying that i am a pediatric nurse practitioner myself, and i know what goes into having a positive and successful medical practice. 1) The first contact with the office is with Kelly. She is incredibly kind, prompt and efficient. I have 3 children all under the age of 5 and every time we enter for whoever's appointment, we are greeted by name and a genuine smile. The nursing staff are gentle and patient. Caring for children is a joy, but when you're viewed as the lady with the shots, it's a whole new ball game. These ladies handle it with professionalism and grace. 2) I appreciate that the office is privately owned and operated. They're not a part of a huge medical group that is about the bottom dollar. Their hands are not tied by red tape or policies and protocol that can take months to change. Dr. Lin and Dr. Young provide excellent and individualized care. They are both kind and warm. The appointment slots are actually much longer than you would get at any other office as well. The well child visits are 45 minutes long and the sick appointments are 30 minutes long. You don't feel rushed and have ample time to ask questions. Another thing I really appreciate is that both physicians practice according to the latest AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) guidelines. The guidelines change regularly and they are always up to date. I cannot say enough about how pleased I am about the care my kids receive here. Dr. Lin is our primary and I really love the guy. My daughter had an ear infection and they encouraged me to come in right away. No wait and a fantastic doctor. My 4 girls are regular patients here now. Dr. Lin always calls back quickly, even after hours which is really handy when you have an emergency. He is on of the most knowledgeable and kind doctors I have ever met. Dr. Lin referred me to some other specialists, when needed, and the referrals are always excellent, too. We also really like Dr. Young in this office. We found Dr. Lin after looking around and feeling frustrated by the care we received at other offices. I can't recommend Dr. Lin and Dr. Young enough they're the best pediatricians I've ever encountered. I don't know how they manage to always squeeze us in when I'm worried, because my daughter is sick or has a fever without other symptoms. Dr. Lin has treated my family for 14 years. 99% of our time has been above par. Today a miscommunication occurred and like most, yelp called out to me. I was upset because I thought I had taken care of a sports clearance and I believed Dr. Lin and I were on the same page. I received news that the office was not going to move forward on a situation. I completely agree with Landon Y. when he says that Dr. Chris and Dr. Young are a throwback to the way pediatricians should care for their patients. I'm am so grateful that I got to know Dr. Chris and Dr. Young and their awesome staff. In the short time we've been seeing Dr. Chris he's proven to be an AMAZINGLY attentive and caring pediatrician to my daughter. I've been looking for so long to find a pediatrician like him and I was so happy and relieved to have found him. Whenever I had a question or worry, I would contact him and he would literally contact me back within the hour with helpful information. Every time we went in he would give us his full attention and take his time making sure everything was ok with my daughter. I never felt rushed (like I've felt MANY times before with previous pediatricians) and we felt thoroughly cared for. The staff is also very friendly and they get things done right away. I have never had any issues with billing, like I have had with other offices. I was so upset when I found out that we had to switch our insurance to Kaiser and would not be able to see Dr. Chris any longer. I vowed that I would find a way to get back our old insurance and go back to his office. A top-notch Pediatric office EVER! My daughter has gone to Dr Lin since she was in Kindergarten. The entire staff makes you feel very comfortable. Everyone is extremely nice, warm. You think you were in a small town because that is how this office makes you feel. Don't get me wrong. Dr Lin is extremely intelligent and knows what he is doing! Don't know what we'd do without Dr. Lin...he is the best. All three of my kids have seen him for years. We love his bedside manner, and the fact that he is accessible via telephone and follows up to check on his sick patients. It's also obvious that he knows his stuff; he is able to explain both illness and treatment clearly and concisely, without being condescending. Scheduling appointments has never been an issue which is great when one of my children is under the weather. In fact, I can't remember a time that I've called when they couldn't squeeze us in the same day. From the minute you walk in to the time you head out the door you're treated with TLC and respect by everyone in the office -- the entire staff puts the patient first. I'm giving 3 stars for my whole experience. Dr. Young is a great pediatrician. For the 2 visits my daughter had with her she was very patient with her. She's sweet and knowledgable. When you're looking for a pediatrician for your kids you're looking for a great practitioner, nice staff and an accommodating office. With that said, I tried scheduling an appointment and Liz the receptionist was extremely rude. She wasn't happy to say the least. I love Dr. Young!!! She is awesome! My daughter always wants to go see the doctor for the littlest thing ... I attribute this to Dr. Young being so wonderful. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE!! I brought my son here (who is asthmatic) when he was having an acute attack the other day. He had already been seen by Dr. Lin (I use the term doctor loosely), earlier this year for the same symptoms. After the initial visit with him we switched to his colleague Dr. Young, who we prefer over Dr. Lin. Unfortunately for us, Dr.Young was not in that day and so we were forced to see Dr. Lin, who greeted us very aggressively, rudely and treated us as if we were neglecting our child. I like to add that I have been a nurse for the last 10 years and when I was speaking to this doctor, he accused me of not being a nurse and basically implied I neglected my child by not taking him straight to the ER when I have a stethoscope at home as well as a pulse oximeter (which measures oxygen levels in our system) and he wasn't at a crucial level to where he needed to go to the ER (otherwise I would have taken him straight there). This doctor has Horrible bedside manner!! He is not only in the Wrong profession he should NOT be working with children! He is mean, scary to kids and they're scared enough at the doctors office as it is. I usually never leave in depth detailed yelp reviews, if at all for that matter, but I needed to let everyone know to not believe the nice reviews on this page, I know a few other parents who switched their Pediatrician after the first few visits with this doctor. We decided to switch over to this office because we moved closer to it. But before I switched I called the office knowing we had some potential procedures coming up where we would need to get in quickly for pre-ops. They said sure we take new patience and we will get you in within a couple days. So I made the switch with my insurance. Then a week or so later I called and got Kelly to set up a pre-op, we had a procedure that was urgently scheduled so we needed a simple pre-op appointment within 9 days. But Kelly said sorry we should have called sooner to make this appt..I explained that we actually didn't have dates yet but I did call her office to make sure we can get in quickly for a pre-op when needed before we changed to them as the provider and they said yes they can squeeze us in..... But she ignored what I said and she just repeated NO we can't do that. Then in a nasty tone just tried to put me down for not scheduling it weeks out. Not at all caring or thinking about what is best for the children. I started to say maybe you can ask the Doctor to see if the Doctor can make an exception.. Then BAM!!! SHE HUNG UP ON ME!!! Dr. Lin and Young are so nice and professional. It's sad that people like this ruin the names of their practice. read more

Dr. Lin and Dr. Young have really taken the time to get to know my children and all their "special" health issues. Both Dr. Lin and Dr. Young are seasoned professionals and highly experienced. The kids just love them too. The docs are full of energy and lots of "high 5's" and encouragement for the kids. So gentle too. The office has a small office feel and they will always fit you in for a sick visit. At their office my children really matter and the personal care they receive is just wonderful. Since our kids are many years apart...we had tried other pediatricians before we found Dr. Lin and Dr. Young years ago now. So we have experience with other offices and really know the difference. To be clear I have not seen the doctors here but when I called to inquire about finding a pediatrician for my soon to be born twin boys I was told that they are so busy that they could not schedule a time for us to meet the doctor. Also, I was told that well baby check ups are being scheduled 2-3 months away. It makes me question their assurance that they will see the children same day when sick (or even shortly thereafter) given how busy they seem to be. We can't possibly say how much we love Dr. Chris Lin and his staff!! Their high level of experience and skill is even more appreciated because of being coupled with extraordinary care and compassion. My kids don't feel like anonymous patients going to see a random 'Doctor'....they actually look forward to seeing 'Chris' their friend. The office staff is equally great. Kelly, the receptionist is truly the kindest, and most accommodating person ever! She works hard to get you an appt as soon as possible and at times with very little notice. If you call with a question or concern, she ensures that you receive the information you need in the most timely manner. Can't say enough good things about this practice. When I was pregnant with my first child my husband and I decided to interview local pediatricians. Dr. Lin was the first and last one we interviewed. This is incredibly rare for me--I am a crazy researcher. We just knew he was the one for us. I have taken all 3 of my children to Dr. Lin since they were born and I can't recommend him and his practice enough. I am even trying to convince a friend of mine who lives over an hour away to go with him--he's that good. Your child could not be in better hands. They offer same-day sick appointments and make every effort to squeeze you in. There's no exchange or answering service--if you call after hours you speak to your doctor. They give follow-up calls to see how your children are doing. This is the way a doctor's office should be run. My kids actually ask to go to the doctor's. What a difference from my experience as a child! Every person in the office takes the time to get to know you and your kids like close friends, and there is never more than a wait of a few minutes in the waiting area or the patient rooms. Each room has a fun theme for the kids, and Nurse Liz remembers your child's favorite and has it waiting for them. She's gentle and quick with vaccinations and genuinely loves your kids. Kelly, the front office manager, is the sweetest person you will ever meet. She always has your child's favorite stickers ready when they're done and goes above and beyond with questions, appointment changes or anything else you could need. Dr. Lin and Dr. Young are loving, attentive and skilled physicians that take great joy in what they do. They love kids and they love to help them. Dr. Lin, and Dr. Young are the best pediatricians around and their office staff is AMAZING too! We just love them. They have treated my daughters like they are their own children. I just them completely. Not to mention they are so great with parents too. I am extremely protective of my children and both doctors are so patient and understanding with me.
