We went to two specialist from CHOC and they determined that he would need surgery right away. Yes, the doctor here was nice and professional but to say that everything was ok, was far from the truth. Second, though we may not be responsible for paying all the fees, they add bogus fees for surveys and they hide the truth on the reasons for an appointment. There is just too much to share in why they should not be practicing. They will schedule an appointment and change the reasoning of the appointment without you knowing. It seems like they do not have a history of conversations having with my wife. Third, they will not allow a second parent or our eldest baby to be in the building. I want to know what is going on and ask questions but they just don't allow that. I want to be a part of this experience but they won't allow two parents. Please be aware of their business practice. Not everything is transparent and it seems more of a business practice instead of a medical practice. I will be contacting all organizations to make sure this clinic is flagged for improper practice.

At some point, Dr. Chuang joined the practice and I think he eventually took it over. We really liked Dr. Wu, but we absolutely love Dr. Chuang. He takes his time when consulting, we have never felt rushed. He communicates so well with kids and parents, thoroughly goes over any questions and concerns. The medical care is exceptional, but the office's billing system and front desk management are so disorganized and dishonest that I can no longer remain silent. I feel it is important to warn other parents about the administrative nightmares I have faced here. In October 2025, I brought both of my children in specifically for flu vaccines. I was explicitly told by the office staff that there would be no copay for flu shots. However, during a follow-up visit on January 8th for my eldest child's fever, the front office nurse suddenly claimed I owed a copay for the October visit. When I questioned this, she admitted the mistake and assured me she would remove the charge. Today, I received separate bills for both children with completely conflicting and nonsensical information: For my eldest: They claim I didn't pay the $25 copay for the January visit. This is false. I paid it on the spot, but they now claim that payment was applied to the October flu shot visit because I supposedly "asked a question" to the doctor, which they coded as a full office visit without any prior notice. For my youngest: They are charging a copay for the October flu shot visit. My youngest ONLY received the vaccine and no medical questions were asked, yet they are still demanding a copay and told me to "call my insurance" instead of fixing their own internal error. It is incredibly frustrating to be told one thing in person and then receive a completely different bill months later. The lack of transparency and the office's refusal to take responsibility for their billing errors is unacceptable. It's a shame that such a high-quality doctor is represented by such a disorganized and unprofessional front office. As much as I like the doctor, I cannot recommend this practice due to these dishonest and stressful billing practices. What hurts the most is that I genuinely wanted to support this local practice. Since I have a PPO insurance plan, I don't need a referral and could have easily gone to a local pharmacy or Costco for these flu vaccines. I chose to pay for parking and drive all the way here specifically to support the doctor's business. To be met with such dishonest billing practices and unprofessional excuses in return is deeply disappointing. I will no longer be going out of my way to support a clinic that treats its loyal patients this way.
